Loving the Curvy Girl #5

Hurricane August

Rate this book
August –

Levi Morton is the biggest stick in the mud, boring, suit-clad jerk I’ve ever met in my life. When I was younger, I would do everything I could think of to torment him. To the point that I would have honestly said we hated each other. Except…I’ve never actually hated him.

I’m not sure how he roped me into pretending to be some corporate admin lackey, but here I am…and there he is. Suddenly, I want to torment him in completely different and less innocent ways.

Too bad he’ll always just think of me as the little brat whose presence he tolerates, and never bother to see the grown woman standing in front of him, wanting to be his.

Levi –

August Jones is a whirlwind of crystals, smudge sticks and nonsense. She’s been friends with my brother since they were kids and for years she was like the little sister I never wanted…until she became a grown woman and it was as if I’d never really seen her before.

We still fight like cats and dogs, she still drives me crazy, but now I can’t stop thinking about her. Dreaming about her. Wanting her.

This is supposed to be a business deal, but as much as I want to save my company, I’m starting to think that there is a lot more to gain from this situation.

It wasn't actually enemy turned lovers romance per se. They're just two bickering brother's BFF and the brother. They knew each other since they were kids, they knew each other's history and all, felt attracted but they were used to bicker about anything and everything; thus they're afraid to actually take one step further. Kinda like an adult version of Kissing Booth but the best friend/brother was shipping for them both since the beginning.
description

The story was somewhat light, sweet, and gave me a smile while reading it. It was a classic telltale of a natural long-time coming relationship; something that everyone would expect to happen anytime soon. The bickering was spot on, the realization also sweet, and the chemistry was also warming.

Loved this story!! Levi and August are truly opposites. He's a corporate CEO, she owns a metaphysical spa and shop. He's wound tight, she's a free spirit. August is best friends with Levi's little brother, so they have lots of practice not getting along. But what everyone else knows, and these two hide from themselves, is the love they share. Full of heated chemistry, engaging conversations, corporate tensions, and profound revelations, this short story is sure to please. Happy Reading!

Fast, fun and adorable❤️

This was another win, with a sweet and quirky heroine who was the perfect from her serious and staid hero!

Very cute story where the h/H have known each other since they were kids but always fought, until one day it just clicks for them and they realize they love each other.

Delicious dual virgin goodness, and so obviously no cheating. No ow/om drama, no abuse. HEA with an epilogue years out.

"My life is passing me by and I’m tired of it passing without you in it.”

Another great short story by this amazing author. Normally, my reviews focus on how much I love the H's in the story. And even though the H was just wonderful in this one, I enjoyed the h's character immensely. That's what's so incredible about this author. She writes the best characters, male and female. Loved the banter.

So good!

Levi's company is in jeopardy of being sold so he asks Auntie to help read the board members. She's an empath, but he doesn't believe in all that "hooey". I loved how they argued and you knew it was really love. Great book!

Another great job

I love these monthly girls. August has sass, especially when it comes to Levi. Only the future is in trouble and as always August is there to help it be a great one.
