Poppy meets Connor at her best friends wedding. She is the maid of honor and he is a stand in for the best man. They hit it off immediately. He then proposes she be his fake fiancee' in order for him to inherit his grandfathers business. The honesty they share is the reason they fall for each other so quickly. Sweet story with some ups and downs for them both. Throw in a misunderstanding, pawnshop, grandparents and an estranged brother along the way. Enjoyed!

Fake marriage of convenience turns to love
Poppy is the maid of honor at her friend, Jenna's wedding. The wedding is in Hawaii on the beach. Jenna is getting married and turn into Bridezella with worrying if anything is going right. She spots Connor her step brother, wondering what he's doing here. He told her he couldn't make it because of work obligations. He explained he was filling in for the best man that was sick with the flu. He was the same size as him.
All the years she knew Jenna she never told her she had a step brother. But she was attracted to him but she also had mischievous ideas of pulling pranks on him. Jenna was looking for her bouquet and all the time Poppy was holding on to both of them, but gives one to Connor and Jenna hits him in the back of the head.
Poppy cracks up and Connor tells her he owes her one.
At the wedding Connor goes outside of the wedding venue and finds a hammock to lay in. He likes the peace and quiet.
Poppy doesn't know that he's out there and goes to do the same thing. He tells her to stay with him. They talk about all kinds of things. They hit it off.
When the night is over, he takes her to his hotel room but because she's a little drunk, he won't take advantage of her. He puts her to bed and sits in the chair all night watching her sleep. He feels attracted to this woman that he just met hours ago. Next morning he sees her and asks if she would be his fake fiancee and then get married to get his Grandfather's business in Maine. His twin, Neil, is a waste. All he does is act like a playboy and just blows money. He's afraid that if his brother gets married first he will sell the business and squander the money. So he asks Poppy to marry him and he will give her his mansion with all the staff if she does this for him.
They both have feelings and move on them. They have sparks.
She originally went to Silicone Valley to apply for a job as a web designer for D&D Aeronautics, she went to the interview and she finds out her new boss is Connor. He changed her job to his personal assistant. She's not sure if she likes that idea until she goes in his office for the interview. He locks the door and he's always wanted to have sex in his office and he makes passionate wild sex on his desk. She's afraid the secretary and Ryan heard her as she had her orgasms.
Great story of a near tragedy brings the truth out and brings Neil and Connor back as brothers. Poppy and Connor are closer and he wants her to be in his life forever. He wins her heart. Recommend reading this love story.

August 12, 2020Nikki Bloom has written a 5-star book. Poppy is the last of her friends to be single since her best friend Jenna is getting married. Connor is Jenna's half-brother that Poppy doesn't know about. She finds out on the day of Jenna's wedding. Connor comes in to see Jenna and tells her that he is replacing the best man since he came down sick. Poppy is paired up with Connor since she is the maid of honor. There is an attraction between the two and it heats up. After the wedding, they spend the night together just talking. The next day they get together and talk some more. They talk about their lives and about marriage. Connor tells her about his grandfather's company and how he wants to take it over when his grandfather retires but he doesn't think it will happen since his grandfather thinks that a family man would work out better. He asks Poppy if she would marry him and tells her all the things that she would get if she agreed to help him out. She tells him that she would have to think about it. The more time she spends with him, the more she falls for him. Finally, she agrees to marry him and he goes all out with the ring. Things go well for Poppy and Connor and they both start having real feelings for the other.

This book is fantastic! A heartwarming story of finding love where you least expect it! Poppy meets Connor when he replaces a man in her best friend, Jenna's wedding. At first, Poppy is surprised to find out he's Jenna's half brother and rich enough to have paid for the wedding. She thinks he's bragging but soon finds out that he's not. After spending the night together, he makes her an offer. Marry him so he can get the family business before his brother can ruin it and she can have his mansion. It takes a bit for her to agree but she does. Especially once her job interview for a web designer turns into her being his personal assistant. Before long, they find themselves falling in love but don't tell the other. A misunderstanding will drive her away but Connor quickly realizes what happens and goes after her. He finds her in Odessa's shop and he will end up shot trying to save Poppy from a robber. This will lead to the truth of their engagement and a reconciliation with his twin brother Neil, who was also the cause of the misunderstanding. It will put Poppy and Connor on the path to their happily ever after.

This is one love story with a fake marriage, a billionaire and family. Poppy is in her friend, Jenna’s wedding and is one unique woman and when she meets the stand in groomsman, Connnor, Jenna’s step brother and wealthy enough to pay for the wedding finds Poopy to be one special woman. These two spend a couple of hours together during the wedding and then spend the night together. They have great chemistry and genuinely enjoy one another so Connor offers to fake marry Poppy to be given his grandparents business and he is afraid his twin brother will destroy it. Poppy is one to stand on what she wants and thinks about the offer after she knows the outcome of her job interview. When the stars are aligned these two can not stop being pushed together. These two come pretty far from a fake marriage to one that’s based on real love and I enjoyed seeing how those around them are affected by it! There feelings towards each other are stronger than every but they are to scared to tell the other one how they truly feel. A small misunderstanding will drive her away but Connor quickly realizes what happens and goes after her and explains to her what really happened. Can Connor and Poppy put that misunderstanding behind them and move forward with there relationship or will be game over for the two of them. I truly enjoyed reading this book.

My Billlionaire Fake Fiance by Elyse Riggs has a cuteness factor of five and a clever factor of ten. In this book we meet Kaylee, a pastry chef, who enjoys a beach bar the Beaky Teaky with her friends, Angie and Fi, for lunch and often after work. One Friday night the girls decide to stage a boyfriend intervention on Kaylee who had not one in several months. Kaylee ends up breaking her no tourist rule and goes home with a gorgeous tourist who just happens to be a billionaire. Chase finds out the board of directors of his company are going to name a new CEO and it may not be him since he is not settled enough. Chase and Kaylee get into a fake fiance arrangement and that is where all the fun starts. This book is a must read for lovers of romance mixed with comedy. Ms Riggs has a clever imagination,, she has come up with some cute scenarios.

The ultimate risk worth taking
Engaged To The Boss by Nikki Bloom is an entertaining romance with a few surprises for the characters thrown in. This fake romance is quirky, quick and upbeat with just a little antagonism that is quickly and decisively overcome. All the while Poppy and Connor have a whirlwind fake romance that quickly shift to something very real.

This was one of the cutest fake engagement stories I have read. Poppy and Connor make the cutest couple ever! I loved the way they met and he was smitten with her from the beginning. Poppy is a hot mess and so funny and adorable! Connor is rich but he’s also sweet, kind, loving and a romantic!

One of the best novels I read so far
This is one of the best novels that I read so far. It’s amazing the way that the author developed this refreshing story. Poppy and Connor met without any arrangement. She was a bridesmaid and he was the half-brother of the bride. He paid for the wedding however ended as one of a best men when one of them got sick. What’s the odds that they ended together in a endless story full of love and fate.
What began as a fake engagement ended as a beautiful love story.

If you like fake marriage stories involving billionaires, you'll love this book. Well written with strong, likable characters and an entertaining storyline. Their chemistry was off the charts and it doesn't take long for things to heat up. Plenty of twists and surprises to keep your interest. Some sizzle, plenty of heat, and a really fun story. No cliffhanger and a HEA. I read a free arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to read.

A good, hot and steamy romance featuring Poppy and Connor. These two are both really engaging characters that have instant chemistry and through circumstances end up in a fake engagement and marriage so that Connor can inherit from his grandparents. Of course there were some twists and turns plus a passionate night before they got to that point. A really enjoyable read. Read an ARC for an honest review.

This book was a one-sitting read for me. It has an excellent storyline and entertaining characters. I have read other works from Nikki Bloom, so I was not surprised at how much I enjoyed this story.
The author has a way of painting the story of Poppy and Connor with vivid descriptions. It held my interest from the first page until the end of the book.
It was an easy 5 Star rating from me.

How far would you go for marriage and for what reason ? Say would you lie, con, have a kid, an inheritance, for a mansion ? Maybe all the above or a few. Well that’s just what this couple planned to do but what happens when a gold digger comes into the picture ? This was a wonderful story about love and mending patches. Recommend Reading !!

I loved this story from the get go! You can’t put it down because it kept you entertained and on your toes. The banter was fun to follow between Conner and Poppy. The jealousy made them realize the true feeling each had for the other. Not to mention the robbery! Who lives? You’ll have to read the story to find out!

This is the story of Poppy Merritt and Connor Dresden who are part of a destination wedding party in Hawaii who have a one night fling which turns into a fake engagement. When Poppy leaves to start her new job it is only to find Connor as her boss. This quick and well written read has amazing characters and a great storyline with lots of steam.

When it come to the boss, you have to be willing to make sure you follow the guidelines of your job. With being engaged as part of an arrangement, it will take more responsibility for other to believe you’re in love. These two people become closer and this engagement can become real.

The buildup of Poppy’s and Conner’s relationship was pretty good up to about 80% of the book, then the last 20% kinda rushed the story to the end where Connor and Neil just made up. It was almost like that part was written by someone else.
There were some minor editing issues but it didn’t really bother me.
Overall, I enjoyed the book.

I loved this book! Poppy and Connor’s love story was the perfect office romance. It includes characters rich in detail and zest for life. I loved watching these two lovebirds grow and mature along their journey to reaching their own happily ever after.

I chose to read and review this book. I liked how Poppy and Conner meet and start the sparks that fly everywhere. They make a deal but it goes way beyond that with their honesty and feelings as well as some twists and turns around the corner. Everything is well written with a sweet ending. I recommend it

Poppy and Connor had unbelievable chemistry from the instant they met. When he proposes a fake marriage, she can’t say no. Good carry through on the story with incredible characters. Good read!

this was a bit of a struggle for me to read and i felt like i was bribing myself to finish this. it wasn’t bad, it was actually cute and quirky and i think poppyconnor were cute but the writing was a bit cringy for me to enjoy and sometimes felt like it wasn’t flowing.

Surprise
Seems like a surprise for both poppy n Connor. Neither was looking for what they stumbled upon but they sure did love the surprise that came their way n the change was long over due.worth reading
