Kimberlyn, Matikah, and Goldie are three best friends taking it day by day in the city of Boston, enjoying the quiet normal life. But things take a dramatic turn when they become acquainted with the well known, rich, and sexy Quintons, TQ, Lendsey, Britain, and Rhys. The four boys, along with their parents and sister run the infamous Quinton Crime Family, committing all types of crimes from green card fraud to importing illegal drugs.
Life is smooth sailing for both sets of people, that is until their worlds start to become one. With drama at every corner, and haters lurking in the shadows, will these unions be able to build a strong bond? Or will the brothers prove to be just another disappointment for the girls?
The book is portrayed as a love story and that's what got my attention. However love shouldn't have to hurt this much. But maybe this is street love. Girls are so willing to be talked to and treated any kind of way just because of the status and the looks of the brothers in the story. Not my best read but I do plan on completing the series.
They argued, fought, and then had sex...same tiresome pattern the ENTIRE book. Nothing was resolved and they fought about the same ole crap. Then, at 99% some action wants to pop up and it ends with a cliffhanger...enough said.
This story really got under my skin! I found the female characters to be pretty weak, which was frustrating. I was just eager for it to end! Honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll dive into the next book because it was such a rollercoaster. It definitely made my blood pressure rise! But hey, who knows? Maybe the next one will be better!
These people are funny. These couples are interesting. I’m mad that she ended it like that…but I’m glad the other books are available. I can see the Boys are eventually going to have issues with their father, especially TQ.
I must say all the Quinton brothers were crazy for sure. Kimberlyn and Matikah definitely had TQ and Lendsey ready to change their ways. At one point all the brothers weren't the most trusted when it came to females but once meeting Tikah and Kimberlyn things began to change. Hayden irked me to no end because no matter how hard she tried she needed to realize she'd never be the woman TQ wanted. I loved the budding relationship TQ shared with Kimberlyn and how he wasn't willing to give it up because someone was in their feelings. Lendsey took a big step and actually realized he had something good with Matikah. Dania was beyond crazy and Lendsey should've been left her alone. Goldie was crushing hard when it came to Britain but I was glad she finally saw Ethan for what and who he really was. Lawd Britain didn't have any chill at the park but that altercation was everything. Rhys really has some loose screws but his love for Summer was real. I just wish she wasn't so hard on him when he was doing everything right when her insecurities caused him to do certain things. After that ending I can't wait for part 2 because I know once it gets back to TQ things will truly begin to heat up.
Are chicks really this desperate, stupid and easy?!?!?! This way of thinking is quite disturbing. This style of writing is for favorite at all. I personally like for a book to focus on 1 or 2 characters. It has multiple storylines yet is a series, why not give each brother their OWN BOOK! Grrrr.. I hate that I have to finish a series if I start it. I definitely want to be done!
Ok, so now this series I don't know yet... It was sooo slow to start and was a tad boring. I think the reason for that it's because there were too many brothers. Rhys and Summer, well can't really tell since they didn't have too much but I must say that Rhys was really something else and Summer, well, she needed to stop listening to outsiders and start trusting again. Tarenz "TQ" and Kimberlyn seems to be the most put out couple so far and the most compatible... They seem to complement each other, until the end... Lindsey and Mathikah well, I thought they were ok. I don't really understand Mathikah or even Lindsey but it seems that she is very quick to jump to conclusions, and Lindsey seems too be too childish. Brittain and Goldie, well child and childish are the only thing I could think of for these two. For such a big time, scary crime family, they all sounds like child play in this first book. Nothing was scary. I would love to see Them in actions, popping people of and all. I mean Brittain showed that a little bit but the rest were just sounding like kids playing robbers and cops or play gangster. And pops being such of a big time gangster, well maybe he has no wrath yet, or if this is it, well I don't think I will make all 3 part of this book.
Maaaan or maaan dem boys are something else. I’m curious about Rhys and Summer’s relationship after being together for ten years and he ain’t put a ring on it. That tells me they do not need to be together or if they want to be together they need to act right. Rhys stepped out once on Summer and the trust factor is non existent. Even though he’s not cheating he’s friend with “females” and perception is deadly. He thinks having friends with “females” is innocent SMH.
The other brothers Tarenz, Lendsey and Britain are all players. Tarenz and Lendsey met their ladies, but of course nothing is easy in any relationships especially when they have all these trifling women trying to claim the brothers. Britain has a crazy GF and waiting to see how this will play out.
Kimberlyn and Matikah are cool and cousins and they have a great relationship. I don’t know how to feel about Goldie because she comes across as a hater, but in her mind she’s helping her friends and thinks she knows all about the brothers, but what she heard is all here say.
The ending is like wow ~~~ who wants to hurt Kimberlyn. TQ will be going on a rampage!
You Needed Me was a story the enter twined the lives of two cousins and their best friend and their eventual relationship with 3 of 4 brothers, hence the need for a book 3. I enjoyed reading this series but felt it was a bit long and drawn out. Personally I’m not a fan of stories with multiple leads, there are just too many characters to keep up with. Counting the Quinton’s sister, it was about 10-20 people in relationship throughout this series. TQ and Kymberlyn, Rhys and Summer, Lendsey and Matikah, Rhys and Indiyah, Summer and Hakim, Britain and Goldie, Summer and Romeo… and so on! Not to mention the girlfriends 2-3 of the brothers had when they started messing around with the two cousins and their friend.
The Quinton’s dad is loco! The family business is weirdly separate, with each member of the family having separate responsibilities in the company. And why are all the girls that mess with a Quinton brother end up obsessed with them?
Again, it was a bit much, but still entertaining and a good juicy read!
Ok. I have to say at times this was just to "unreal" lol to fast pace. But it also was a good read and made sense . I dont know. Its just 1 tired of these " hardest dudes in the business " getting swept away THAT easily. Then these....virgins at 50 🙄 well not 50 but yall no what i mean and they give it up so easily after all those years. Then why do these females cry when they get pregnant? Lol dont you no when you have unprotected sex what will happen smh but over all this was a litt book i cant lie getting ready to jump into part 2 now and excited lol
Now that was a drama filled cup of tea. It sure ended with a great crest ass mouth dripping cliffhanger. TQ and his brothers are the hottest thing in town and all of the ladies of course want the chance to be the on their arms. Until they meet they meet Kimberlyn her cousin Matakiah and their friend golden hmmp now the plot thickens bcz all of the chics they had as regulars whom also thought they’d be the first choice as leading women have just been hit with the bombshell and now seek revenge. Happy reading
Awwww man they done messed with TQs girl they must have lost their mind... but it's no telling who it is ... Britain wasnt his cake and to eat it too but Goldie is not playing with him and summer she deserves better but Rhys has been doing it all these years with not showing affection and he doesn't know how but now since summer is gone he like a lost dog... but Lendsey him and Britain thinks that women supposed to fall at their feet but not Matikah and Goldie
I’m really at lost for words. I like this book but why do all of the women have to be so insecure. It’s not a secure woman in the whole bunch. For these women to be as beautiful as they’re described, they sure lack a whole lot of common sense and self control. Summer was 100% wrong for entertaining Hakim then want to trip on Rhys. I’m going to read book 2 before I make any more comments but I’m tired of the same old tired plot.
These have to be the weakest female characters out right now. They all seemed too naïve and dumb for the situations they found their selves in. Kimberlyn really was getting on my nerves and Matikah with all the apologizing was just as annoying. Overall I enjoyed the read even if the male characters spoke too soon and too deep on the illegal stuff they were into.
I like this book. I find the characters to be interesting. There's a lot of action. I enjoy reading about the Quinton Brothers their dad is a piece of work. These two cousins and one friend are in their early twenties. Life hasn't been easy, but I believe that is going to change. Yes, I would recommend this book. It's such a pleasure reading your books 🥰
I GAVE THIS A LISTEN BECAUSE THE TITLE BORROWS FROM ONE OF MY FAVORITE QUEEN RIHANNA'S SONGS. THAT'S WHERE THE SIMILARITIES DIFFER! AS IT TURNS OUT, I'M NOT QUITE SURE WHAT THIS WAS I'D LISTENED TO. AND, DON'T GET ME STARTED WITH THE NARRATION BY ACE BENTLEY & GENEVA MITCHELL, WHO HAD ATTEMPTED ATROCIOUS BOSTON ACCENTS!
Why does love have to hurt so much? The brothers appear to be in love with girls who are cousins and their best friends. A little to street for me with the way they treat women in general but I guess that's the way thug love goes.
This was my favorite series by the author, I couldn't get enough of reading about the quinton family. Even though some things they did were over the top, I still loved them. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was too many sex scenes for my taste.
Shvonne, all of your books are straight bangers, including your lastest. I love this series already, I love TQ and Kimberlyn's relationship, and now I need to find out who knocked out Kimberlyn, that alone has me sizzling hot...Overall Great Job Boo!! ❤
4 brothers who really ain’t 💩. The ups and downs with their women. Rhys needs to realize what he is doing IS cheating. I bet ole girl is Goldie’s sister. Britan needs to just leave his girl if he doesn’t want her.
Young ❤️. Young Bosses. Great plot. Part 2 should be interesting.🤔 Who wants to hurt Kimberlyn or do they want to hurt TQ. Will Rhys & Summer Len & Matikah her it right. Will Goldie settle
These brothers know they are too much. The girls knew what they were getting into from jump so I’m not sure why they’re so angry. Summer frustrates my soul. There’s no relationship without trust.
I’m loving everything but the insecurities in this book. These ladies really need some classes on self love. Summer is my least favorite. It’s something about Hakim I don’t like.
This book had me missing my bedtime because I just couldn't stop reading. QCF is a force to be reckoned with and the ladies in their lives are trying their best to take them.
