Her fate was already sealed—an omega trapped forever with a brutal alpha who made her life a living hell…until he came along.
Welcome to the Boundarylands. A place where the only way to know your true nature is to feel the touch of an Alpha. Omegas may be rare, but every woman knows their fates are hellish—held captive, broken, mated, knotted, and bred.
Emily believed every word of that warning. She gave up on happiness months ago when a silly game turned into a life sentence as a violent alpha’s mate. Now the best she can hope for is a quick end to her suffering.
But then a chance encounter changes everything.
Suddenly, there’s an alpha who is willing to fight for her—Cade. He says he wants her just the way she is. That he’s willing to battle all her demons—real and imagined—if it means he can claim the title of her alpha.
But, deep down, Emily can’t help but wonder if she’s just trading one nightmare for another, even though the fire that Cade’s touch ignites makes her feel more alive than ever before.
CADE is the eighth book in The Boundaryland Omegaverse, a hot new ABO romance series featuring knotting, heats, and possession. Wear gloves, cause this sh*t is hot.
Ever since she was little, Callie Rhodes' imagination has been landing her in trouble. From daydreaming about far off worlds in class, to escaping into the made up stories of her mind in the meeting room, she's been creating tales to take her away from the real world for as long as she can remember. Now she lives among the tall trees of Northern California, and has found a way to make a living off her fantasies.
Cade de Callie Rhodes serie The Boundarylands libro 8
Cómo no amarlo?
No pudo luchar.
Ahh...Redemption and second chances. Cade was the protective reformed bad boy that saves Emily, the abused but resilient omega, who learns to love herself and Cade. So good!
Naturally, Emily is blonde like every girl in this series except that beta redhead. She is self described as "short and fat", she is a size 22 jeans. This is not one of my favorites...
I enjoyed Cade and Emily's story. Stealing her from another Alpha was crazy but Cade just felt the need. Emily was scared of Alpha's after dealing with Sloan and she was leary of her savior.
Their story came together slowly but it was nice to watch them fall in love.
omegaverse/ abused h/ angry not liked H/ way better
This one was best out of this series that I’ve read so far. Cade isn’t liked by the other alphas, he’s always been an ass who is ready to start some shit to get a good fight in. Emily is a sad broken down omega whose been beaten down by the alpha her started her transition. One day Cade sees an unfamiliar truck outside evanders bar, and notices that an omega is sitting inside, unattended and he goes to check on her. As soon as he sees her and the bleeding mark on her face, he’s like nope, not gonna happen. He goes in knocks her alpha out and takes her back to his place. Their journey was really amazing and I loved this.
-Bigger plus sized omega ❤️ -Abused h by OM -cold angry H alpha -knotting -omegaverse
I enjoyed Cade and Emily's story. Emily was refreshing and Cade was very likeable and the perfect amount of alpha. I've mentioned before in reviews that I'm not a huge fan of novellas but this series works for me. Each book is short but entertaining and I don't really feel like I'm being rushed through a half-completed storyline. I mean, there were a couple or two in this series that I didn't really connect with or enjoy the plot of their storylines, but overall, I've enjoyed most of the couplings and stories.
I really enjoyed Emily and Cade's story. Case has always been somewhat elusive and argumentative. I was upset for him when the others in the Boundarylands thought he would actually harm an Omega. Emily has had it rough since becoming an Omega and I'm glad she was able to slowly let her walls come down. Cade was so caring and understanding of her situation, it was touching. As a side note, this book had the best and most satisfying claiming scene of the series I've read so far.
But if I were to complain about something it would be the lack of nesting and purring. An alpha's growl also doesn't have the effect I'm used to reading, but some might like that. :)
This is generally a very fluffy Omegaverse series with hawt scenes though, which is also perfect if you don't want the common dystopia setting. :)
Me encantó.
The bad reputation Alphas have is mostly untrue, but there’s always one bad apple…
TW: Domestic Violence
Not all Alphas – but yes, unfortunately some. I applaud the way that the author has dealt with domestic violence in this situation. Boundaryland Alphas are not normally violent to their Omegas, so this story is unique in the series and quite well told.
Emily has stumbled into the Boundarylands with some friends and was set upon by a group of rowdy and less than honourable Alphas from the Northern boundary. She is captured by Sloan. A brute of an Alpha without respect for women and certainly without respect for an Omega. When his expectations of Emily go unmet, he resorts to violence. He drives with Emily down to the Southern boundary in the hopes of having the Omegas who live there teach Emily what an Omega should be.
Emily has tried her best to be subservient, but has been continually beaten down physically, mentally, and emotionally by Sloan. She has retreated into herself by the time they reach the Southern Boundarylands and Evander’s Bar.
Cade is a fighter. He is restless and finds the best way he can release all that pent-up energy is by physically fighting. When Cade see Emily in Sloan’s car and the state, she is in he offers help. Emily refuses, fearing that Sloan will kill them both if she accepts help. Cade refuses to leave her with an Alpha that is so undeserving of an Omega. He follows Sloan into the bar and knocks him out cold, goes and gets Emily from the car and takes her back to his house.
Thus, begins the journey of healing. Cade must get Emily to trust again. She is terrified at first, but eventually Cade wins her over and Sloan and his buddies from the Southern Boundarylands who have come to reclaim Emily are dispatched. Usual warnings for steamy sex scenes. Add in warnings for some pretty disturbing domestic violence early on in the story (hence the trigger warning at the start of this review). Five stars for this one.
Always the fighter in the alpha brotherhood group, Cade walks by Emily, who’s sitting in another alpha’s truck. Beaten and abused, Emily’s been told that if she can’t learn to be a “real” Omega, she’ll be killed. While Cade doesn’t realize this, the idea that someone has beaten an omega sets his blood on fire, and he beats the unknown alpha until he’s unconscious and steals the unclaimed Omega away.
The tender love story that unfolds from that point is beautiful. Cade, who has always been one for a fight, calls on his gentle side and is patient and caring and helps Emily learn what a true alpha/omega relationship is meant to be. Unfortunately, Emily’s former alpha isn’t one to let go easily, so their happily ever after has a black cloud hanging over it from the very beginning.
This series has been one great book after another. I definitely recommend reading them in order, because the characters’ opinions of each other make more sense that way. However, each book can stand on its own.
Callie has become one of my favorite authors. This alpha series has created an addict out of me. I love each and ever story but CADE has to be my favorite because it was so different from the others and it was so relatable that I could picture the entire story. CADE was her knight and shining armor but little did he know Emily saved him from himself. I also love how the other omegas welcome the newbies no matter where they come from or what they look like. There is so much love in these Boundarylands that you have no choice but to fall in love with the others. Thank you Callie Rhodes!!!!!
The thing I liked most about this addition to the series is that it was made clear that only this particular alpha and omega made each other feel the way they did. They’d met other alphas and omegas and not had those feelings. Actually I don’t know if the hero had met an unmated omega before but he wasn’t wanting one either until he saw the heroine. Prior to this book I was starting to feel like any omega and alpha combo would work and they would ‘fall in love’. The heroine had a horrible existence for the previous two months. It was a little glossed over in terms of the sexual abuse she must have sufferered, but I’m glad it was.
This is one of my favorite Boundrylands books. Cade and Emily really have to deal with some serious issues so they can have a better life than either of them thought possible. But first there are some Alpha's without honor that need dealt with. Seems there in an upland and download to the boundrylands and the stretch all the way to Canada. Not all Omega's are treated like the treasures they are. Rules are being broken, codes of conduct ignored and a reckoning may be coming. DanaLynn
Cade is all anger, all the time. None of the other alphas are his friends because he just comes to the bar to fight. One night he discovers an unclaimed omega in the truck of an unknown alpha from a different section of the Boundarylands. The problems is that the alpha has claimed her as his but he abuses her terribly. So Cade proceeds to steal her away. Which causes more trouble. Can he ever get her to trust again? While this isn't one of my favorites , it is still a good book to read.
HEA Standalone (series best read in order) Trigger warning - DV, kidnapping
Cade isn't known for being friendly. Most of the other Alphas stay away unless they are wanting to fight. Cade isn't a bad guy, he just vents his aggressions on other Alphas. Until one night he finds an omega without a bitting claim that has been repeatedly hurt by the alpha that turned her. Cade decides to steal the omega and teach her how a real alpha treats his woman. Consequences follow, more so than they thought would.
These are solid formulatic stories. Light, easy reads. The editing could be better. There’s usually words missing from sentences and wrong name usages at least once in each book. A good proofreader would fix most of those issues.
Cade is rough around the edges and likes to fight but he’s understanding and kind to Emily.
I didn’t appreciate the body shaming. It’s unnecessary, especially for a bigger FMC.
It all works out, like usual. And any book without the beta “mate” is an instant 3 star minimum.
The Boundarylands that is. Dive into a world where some men are genetically destined to become massive Alphas, outcast to the Boundarylands. Some women are also hardwired to be their Omegas, and destined mates.
In this case, an Omega is stolen by an extremely abusive ‘alpha’ who broke laws to take her. Of course, then her true alpha finds and saves her.
Ya gotta love these ferocious, yet lovable big guys!
It seems like fate that one of my favorite series releases a book on my anniversary! Cade starts out the book looking for a fight and he finds so much more. Emily is an Omega who's previous alpha abused her mentally and physically so naturally she's hesitant when Cade comes to her rescue. But Cade is able to put all his anger aside to heal Emily all the while healing himself as well. An easy 5 stars can't wait for the next book in September!
I enjoyed the first few books, and even this one and the last one. However, the miss spellings, or the wrong word weren't the only thing wrong. There where a few seens that got mixed up. In the 1st seen where Cade and Emily are about to have sex, they start out in his bedroom then are magically in the living room, and then end up back in his bedroom.
This one right here, I'm not good with words so I cannot express it well. Are there some typos, yes. Did it ruin the book, absolutely not. I love that this book put our female front and center and our female was more natural and real to most readers. We are all far from perfect and knowing this character has that extra weight like most of us really touches home more. Makes the story feel real, better and easier to fall in love with.
I really enjoyed this installment in the series. It was different and the story was refreshing. I feel like there have been so many books that some things have started to get repeated, but this book brought a lot of new things.
It also set a couple things up for the future books and I’m eager to see those play out.
I loved that Emily was so strong, that she's a survivor. Cade was patient enough for Emily to get over her initial distrust of anyone new and to trust that he wouldn't hurt her. She blossomed with Cade's promise to let her choose. Thank you Ms. Rhodes for another great story. Can't wait to read the next one.
I highly recommend this series. You should definitely read them in order though. Emily was taken by Sloan and he forced her Omega nature on her. He abused her both emotionally and physically. Cade sees her sitting in Sloan's truck and takes her. This has a wonderful ending. It needs some editing though.
I liked Cade and Emily's story. Much more interesting than the last one, Aric. Prior to this, Cade was not a well liked alpha. He was a bit of a dick to Zeke in his and Darcy's book. But seeing him do right by Emily and watching the two of them fall in love with each other, it was apparent Cade just needed his other half.
Wife abuse is such a social problem and it happens much too often. This book spotlights the issue and what abuse can do to someone. I love how the men in this series are huge strong and beastly but they are honest and honorable. I did notice several typos and reported them.
i give credit where credit is due,and this series has improved dramatically in the last couple of books. still contains continuity issues (no pants on,then touching pants, then no pants on again, stuff like that). but the heroine is less irksome, and the storyline is better. genuinely interested in reading the next book!
I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series so far, but this one stands out a little more. The heroine had issues but the author didn’t have them magically disappear with good loving. Also, there was more of a sense of the entire alpha community coming together in this book than in previous ones. This story is a fine addition to the series.
Cade has been my favorite book up to this point. I have liked all the characters so far, but the development between Cade and Emily has been my favorite. Their character development was *chef's kiss*. I was able to relate to Emily more than the other girls and it made it more enjoyable to read once she began to florish in the lowlands.
