The blurb of this book will tell you all you need to know about what this book is about. I don't read a lot of contemporary erotic romance or erotica but the blurb captured my attention and I wanted to give it a go. Although there wasn't a lot of it, there was some violence in the book which turned my stomach a little. But other than that the story was as you would expect, a lot of sex, although not written in explicit detail every time which would have got boring. What, or should I say who kept the story interesting was Ben. He isn't like the 3 other men when it comes to women, in fact, he didn't even want to go to the lake house at all. Business made him go and the only reason he ends up with a woman is that he wants to rescue one from the abusive guy. Of course, it helps that he is attracted to her, and as the blurb says he does make it his goal to make her desperate for him. For me, though, I loved the intrigue of her trying to investigate the situation she is in without being found out. Ben knows something is afoot, but can he figure out what it is.

As long as you know that there is some violence in the book, including some rough sex, and you can deal with that, then I think you will enjoy this book. It's not just sex for the sake of it, there is a good solid story with it, one which makes me sure that I will read the next book. I need to know what happens next.

My Speculation:

"His To Buy" was the first series in 'Lee Family Billionaire Book 1' that featured Kiamani Taylor and Benjamin [Ben] Lee. We find that Kiamani, a journalist who becomes involved with the Scarlet Auction, is [working uncover] investigating a sex trafficking ring. Kiamani was trying to land a job with the San Francisco Tribune. She has a roommate, Marissa that became involved with these people in this Scarlet Auction, and it didn't turn out well for her. I would say that Lee was Kiamani's savior from what could have happened to her if he hadn't bought her from that creep that had brought her earlier from that auction. Be prepared for a dark erotic/erotica romance with some defined characters, especially this group of men: Ben, Jason, Jake, and Derek plus four gorgeous women [Kiamani, Claire, Ryan & Lisa] that were virgins or non-virgins that give us quite an 'intriguing storyline with twists, sizzling chemistry, and ending in a cliffhanger.' Will Ben be able to find out what is going on with Kiamani [Montana] as she hopes to get the information she needs investigating this sex trafficking ring? I see we will have to continue reading this series to find out more about what is going on.

Kimani wants and needs the job working as a journalist. She came up with this crazy plan to prove she can do the job. Time at a friend's cabin may change both of them forever.


This hot, hot, hot story is fantastic! Wonderful characters. Terrific plotting and a different approach to romance makes this a book to have. Ms. Hale keeps this story flowing and full of surprises. This is an explicit book, so not for those easily offended. Purchase this book today. It will make a terrific gift!

I read the first two books for this series back to back and I devoured them both!

This is the first book and I thought that this was a good book and a great way to start off a new series and as soon as this one was completed I went straight on to the next book in the series!

The storyline was good and well developed but it was a bit slower in places. It didn’t upset the flow to the story but I could have done with a little more action and less detail to make it more of a 5 stars read.

I thought that the characters were well developed and I am really looking forward to get to know them as the series progresses.

It is 4 stars from me for this one – lots of promise for the books to come – very highly recommended!

Looking Forward to Part 2 - This is a new-to-me author. I liked the first installment of this series more than I expected. I mean, I hoped to like it but I'm actually looking forward to what comes next. There are some sensitive subjects and at least one serious jerk (so many better words to describe him but not all of them are safe for reviews) to round out this investigative report. Bring on the next installment! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is my first time reading anything from this author. The book is a suitable length and has a nice steady flow to it. Due to the subject of sex trafficking there are possible triggers for some potential readers. Plenty of intrigue throughout this story, the characters have chemistry but also conflict.

I just can’t like the writer that puts herself in this auction and then thinks she can get a scoop to write a big story and not have to
Have sex. Her attitude in how she thought she could get the story is Childish. She lucky Ben intervenes and took her off his friend hands or she would have been in real trouble.

Emily Hale was so nice to send me the ARC of this book for a review. It’s a very steamy book, but not in a vulgar way. Emily makes the story very romantic and emancipated. She also makes you want to hit Jake, but I won’t spoil the story ;)

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Ben, Jason, Jake and Derek all wealthy alpha rich men, went to Scarlett Auctions. The girls that were picked were all gorgeous women that were virgins or non-virgins they were selective about the girls they put up for Scarlett Auctions. Ben needed to get close to Jake so he can use Jake's business ties.
