Connie is an FBI agent who is undercover investigating Luke. Sparks fly between them but where will her loyalty lie, with the FBI or Luke? Fast-paced read with lots of drama, steam and twists and turns. I really liked it.
Luke Christian is a self made billionaire who doesn't do anything by half and fights for everything he has. Some times he fights dirty, but he makes sure he always comes out on top. There's only one thing missing in his life. A beautiful, smart, interesting, sexy woman he can call his own.
But he knows who to go for help to find said woman.......the Wish Maker.
Connie Montez is smart, sexy, beautiful and interesting. She's also a Special Agent with the FBI. And her bff just happens to be the Wish Maker! Who happens to want to set her up with a handsome, charming billionaire who is interested in meeting her. He also happens to be the man who the FBI is now looking at because two notorious drug dealers want to invest in his business.
Once Luke and Connie meet chemistry and sparks fly. But can they trust each other when things turn dangerous? Can Connie uphold the law and still be the woman Luke will want when all the dust clears?
This is the most action packed and mysterious romance to date from C.C. Piper. Yet they still cover real emotion and chemistry that draw you in and keep reading until the end. And it's worth every turn of the page.
The narrative was so disjointed and incoherent in places I was unable to keep the story and characters straight.
The premise of an FBI agent behaving so irrationally and childishly is so unbelievable. I know this is fiction but I don't expect to suspend belief to such a degree.
Again, the misuse of the English language is irritating. You dont stack 'palates' of marijuana in warehouses. You use 'pallets'. And 'expansive'. How often do you need to use this word to describe a large space?
I think the description of weapons was also jumbled and misjudged.
I really hate to put such a poor review as the author has worked to produce this book but I feel much more research needed to have been done before writing this book
I think this is the second or third CC Piper book I have tried to read and it will be the last.
As they used to write in my school reports- 'more work needed. Must try harder.'.
This book is gripping, captivating and draws the reader in with lots of intrigue action and suspense and some twists and turns that succeeds in keeping the reader on the edge of their seat, captivated and with baited breath. At a glance Luke, a billionaire and Connie am undercover FBI agent are unlikely romantic partners, but the wishmaker gets it right once again. We go on an emotional rollercoaster ride when Connie needs to pick on which side she deems most important - the law or love, while Luke needs to decide just how much he wants to make the deal. The emotions and feelings between Connie and Luke and their growing attraction to each other was expertly portrayed while the supporting characters and relationships between them elevated and cemented the plot. I loved this book can't wait to read the next book.

Will this Special Agent nail her billionaire or her target?
Corrupted is the eighth book in The Billionaire's Secret Club series and another addicting story in this series. This book is about Connie Montez and Luke Christian. The Wish Maker has matched these two up and event though they have off the charts, toe curling, explosive chemistry there is also something else happening. Connie is actual an undercover FBI Special Agent who is trying to investigate self-made billionaire Luke. They suspect that he has been doing some business with less than ideal partners. They both will have one important choice to make after everything is done and said. What will their decisions be is the mystery? This is a nicely written book with good character development and an interesting story-line that holds your attention. There is danger, romance, suspense and very steamy and sensual love scenes.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
“...don’t let her be a pushover. I want a tough woman because, believe it or not, I like challenges in all aspects of my life.”
This book was my favorite in the series so far. If you haven’t read any of the previous books they can be read as standalone...but you’ll want to read them all, because they are a great, quick read.
“As I started to reach out to seal the deal, a small voice inside of me told me that I was making a mistake.”
This book had twist and turns throughout, as well as action, romance, regret, loyalty, deception, secrets and so much more.
“There was no need for betrayal, for this man, this unsavory man who led an unsavory life, paid for his sins.”
The Wish Maker strikes again! This time she convinces a friend; Special Agent Connie Montez to go on a date with Luke Christian who is not just looking for “beauty”, but also someone who will challenge him. Luke is looking for investors on a project – and ironically his latest partner is under investigation by the FBI.
A fabulously intricate story of right and wrong, romance, intrigue and danger. A bit different than the prior books in the series, yet quite compelling.

For me, I finished this book in a short amount of time. It was quirky, in a good way, and a nice break from the books I've been reading lately. I don't know if it was trying to be over the top in the story telling, but I enjoyed reading about The Wish Maker and how she helped an FBI agent and a billionaire find true love. With that being said, this is the first book in this the series I've read.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Another wonderfully written fast-paced entry to this superb series. The characters are very well written with depth to them showing their flaws as well as their good points. The plot is intriguing and drug me into the story from the get-go. If you have read any of the previous books in this series then you shall not want to miss this one, if you haven’t been reading the series then why haven’t you? Now would be a great time to start!

Loved it. This is book 8 in this series. The Wishmaker stories keep getting better and more dangerous. All the books can be read as stand a lone and you can read them in any order. This is Luke and Connie’s story. They literally fought for their lives. It was exciting to read and the suspense kept you reading. It was an awesome read. Looking forward to reading more from this author. I received this as an arc via Booksprout and I am leaving my honest review
Corrupted is most definitely the cream of the crop in The Billionaires Secret Club Series. This book is intense, electrifying and dynamic with two gangsters bosses who fight to become top dog in the drug world and Luke a billionaire and Connie a FBI agent are their pawns. Want to read a book that's constant motion here it is just click it.

Although this book is number 8 in the series... all these books can be read as stand alone. This one was filled with suspense and intrigue. I didn’t know what the next twist would be. Definitely kept my attention. Luke and Connie were destined... but they were in the fight of their lives for their HEA. Exciting read.

This book brings us Luke and Connie. Connie is an FBI Agent, and Luke is a billionaire. When Luke makes a stupid deal which makes him look bad, Connie is going to have to choose what and who she believes. The more time they spend together, the more their attraction becomes apparent. There are many twists and turns in this book, which is why I HIGHLY recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
This is the 8th book. Another great read in this series that just keeps getting better and better. I am glad I started reading this series. Also what is good is that you can read each of them as a standalone but if read in order is even better.

This was a short story but packed full of action with a great ending. It was less about mafia and more about the FBI and the Mexican drug cartel. Connie is a beautiful strong FBI agent who falls for handsome, rich billionaire Luke Christian. Luke gets caught up in a bad deal with the mexican drug cartel. I really enjoyed this and Highly recommend reading it.
Connie is an FBI agent who is undercover and investigating billionaire Luke. Luke is a suspect because of his deals with drug dealers. When her investigation takes a steamy turn will she choose their love or her job? This is a well written story about two people who come from different worlds and have great chemistry together. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was a really good book - excellent plot (tho a little hard to follow at times), and it was a great end to this series. This was a story of Connie (FBI special agent) and Luke (billionaire) and their journey to Happily Ever After. I really enjoyed it and hate to see the end of this series!
As usual C.C. keeps you rivitted in the story. I recommend that you read the complete series. I enjoyed each book. If you like great love stories, suspense and HEA. This series is for you. Thanks C.C. for taking me to another place in my mind.
It's my first time reading this authors work and I was not disappointed with the series. There were times I felt the attraction between the couples was running too fast which made it unnatural. Having said that I enjoyed the banter between all the couple and this kept me laughing uncontrollably throughout. It was an easy 5 stars for me.
I really enjoyed the series and the concept behind the books. That being said, this was actually my least favorite. It just didn’t flow or jive like the prior books. I hope there will be more to come in the series as it is a great series’s a whole!
Loved the entire set of books. Unorthodox ways to meet the women or man of your dreams. Not as dark as most but really good story lines with HEA at the end of each book.
Girl meets boy. Boy billionanire girl gets caught by bad guy
I had trouble putting the book down!! Believable villains. Touch no nonsense Connie falls for blind date her friends fixes her up with; goes from there. Non stop action!!!!
This series is getting better and better!! I love these short stories and the characters are quite interesting. I love the small epilogues and the interconnected stories. And I definitely love the wish maker!!!
Luke & Connie had an intriguing, drama filled read. Good characters with lots of chemistry. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
And undercover FBI woman is matched with a handsome billionaire who makes some poor decisions. Lots of activity, gang and drug activity and of course brutality. Story is intertwined with lots of excitement and concern for the characters.
I really wasn’t a big fan of this book, there were parts that were interesting but not enough to salvage this book. I don’t think it was realistic or very interesting. 😔
