Frankly I’m still reading this series because I’m so close to the end. I’m really struggling with the mistakes that completely take me out of the stories. They have been an issue with all the books but this was just too blatant. Simple words like differently instead of definitely, several instances of shutter instead of shudder, and several others. The worst was menstruate instead of ministration for a pregnant woman. That was confusing enough but when the a couple of characters names are used interchangeably it made no sense. I think I’m ready to give up on this series.

Just my thoughts

I couldn't give the book or the series a 5 its not perfect. But i did enjoy the story. I will continue to read the rest of the series too, it's just who i am. I have tho get to the end. Ok I want to begin by saying that I love to read and maybe I just pick out apart too much. Lorena Quinn is very stubborn but she's also loyal and passionate about her family and her cause. I do get that but there are just too many times she does things completely out of character. For instance when she wakes up after finding Dr.Shaw she hears things that make her question what's happening and she's confused. Usually she would react first then ask questions. But she doesn't she just, out of no where changes her feelings about the Dr and begins to look at her as more of a mother figure. Which on some level i get it. I just don't feel like this book stays with her character. There were so many times she does things that just don't seem right. I do like the idea of the story just not all the details. It could be better. I love too read and i like to see the story play out in my head. But sometimes with this series i just don't see it.

Wow what happened to Vlad?

We left the last book on a cliffy when Vlad collapsed on the floor. Start this book but where's Vlad? No mention of what happened to him. I have questions! Once again the mistakes take me out of the story.

Different than the others

I love this series of books, I really do. One of the reasons for that has been that the English and editing are so darn good. I can't help it, I'm picky. The thing is that other than the story, which is still excellent, the book seems to have been written by someone else. There are mistakes in tense, the editing is, well it's not a total disaster, but it's not good. I am really writing this more for the author than other readers. Most readers will love it and not notice, probably, but I feel like a bull looking at a red flag.
Whatever you changed writing this one, please please go back to the way you were doing it before.
Written respectfully and with great enjoyment of your skill.

Pregnancy hormones!! Lorena is pregnant and everyone around her is driving her crazy. They monitor everything she does. What she eats and can’t eat and she is getting angry. She dislikes Dr. Shaw because she won’t let her eat or drink any junk food. And she has to find a way to free Wei. Ewan has to leave to find his sister, and then she finds out she has to go the Water Fae and bring all her men, even a new one who has appeared but she doesn’t exactly trust him. So many wanting to protect her and her unborn baby, but has she brought a betrayer into their group? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

House of Vampires book 6 by Samantha Snow is a 4 ⭐️ read.
Lorena Quinn is pregnant with the prophecy baby but no one knows which of the 3 vampires are the father but no one cares because they all love her and the baby she is carrying. If she thought life was going to get any easier she was wrong, there’s a war happening in the fae lands and she has a really strict doctor who won’t let her have any Dr Pepper and people are still trying to kill her.
I’ve been enjoying this series and while I’m sad the next book is the last for Lorena I’m actually glad to be at the end, there’s just been too much waiting.

It started out great but

I enjoyed parts of these books. But after awhile it got to be the same things over and over. No matter where She went she found trouble or it found her. They were interesting enough but a young 19 year old girl who has 7 or 8 lovers at one time isn't my thing. Would've been great if she just choose 1. But nope big turn off. This will be the last one for me. The perils she went through was okay & interesting but I'll not read the next ones . Sorry just not my kind of reading. 7 or 8 lovers, That's the only thing that messed it up for me. Otherwise the books was fairly good.

Hmmm...

The first if the series that seemed like it wasn't edited at all. If you're proud of the work you create, why wouldn't you make sure it's done right? So many errors! On at least every third page: words missing, names spelled wrong, wrong words (something is seriously wrong when you write menstruation instead of ministrations and let it slide), and on top of that right when I felt the main character was growing, she made some really immature decisions that didn't seem to line up correctly. And we didn't even start where the last book left off. I'm not sure I'll read anymore after this one.

The adventures in this one have taken us to the world of the Water Fae. They are an interesting group with an honor code all to their own. Ewan gains and looses as well as Zane and Lorena. However, the journey is necessary and saves more lives that are lost. The trees come to life and the story of Lily and Sirius makes for an interesting mystery. And there is a baby on the way, finally!!

There were more spelling mistakes and I fear this may get worse, but the plot and the characters keep me enthralled. Still going and am so excited to know what happens next.

Lorena is an amazing character, never giving up and ready to face any situation, even if it may seem hopeless. Now she’s being haunted by a ghost and solving the riddle of the dead only gets more complicated when a handsome new neighbor moves into town. War raging in the Fae world and a baby on the way. This is going to be a tough one – will she and her vampire boyfriends be ready to fight the enemy? Will they survive this one?

This very well-written book 6 in the The Lorena Quinn Series is a continuation of a series with amazingly crafted characters that have great chemistry. Each character has been very well crafted with unique personalities and grow throughout the story. A must read from a great Author. I have enjoyed this authors series of books.

Holy Vampire

This series is getting better and better! But I'm telling you that Lorena is going to drive me crazy! That chick is crazy!! I can't believe the stuff she does and says! Poor Zane!! I feel so bad for him...and she just does what she thinks is right! She needs to trust all four of her men! Demitre, Allen...oh wait Allan can do no wrong! Zane and Edwan!! Oh and Wei too! On to the next book!!

Great Story

While I truly love this series there are editing issues throughout this book. This is why I couldn't give it 5 stars. The editing issues make it difficult to know what the sentences are trying to say in some places. The characters names are wrong or misspelled in places.
The new characters are interesting and change the story itself. They move the storyline wrong on paths you didn't see coming. I can't wait to see what's next for Lorena and her men.

I have now read books 1-7, and here are my thoughts. It was a great idea, but mediocre execution. Many of the plot twists I was able to figure out before they happened. Some story lines are just completely dropped leaving us hanging. And goodness me all the FREAKING TYPOS were like someone used talk to text for the whole book and never went back to check. Overall I found it to mildly entertaining and only went as far as I did because I am stubborn like that.

Sadly whoever edited/proof read this book needs to refund their fee. Far too many mistakes such as he instead of she, her instead of him, third party phrase when the character talks first person etc. This distracted far too much from the book. The first four had a few mistakes but this one seemed to have at least one mistake every other page. It matters

Oh and calling Dame Julie Andrews Julia every time? Definitely sloppy.

the grammatical errors and plot holes are killing me

It’s almost like the deeper into the world we get, the more details the author forgets from previous books. I felt like I was gaslighting myself when I read this book, I kept having to check the other books to make sure it was written the way I remembered and that whatever was written in this book was what had changed. It’s a great world but this series needs some serious editing.

A little confused

Overall I love this series. It's fascinating, interesting, and constantly keeps you guessing. I'm always looking forward to the next book. With that being said, this one was a little disappointing. I kept waiting to find out why Vlad was so disheveled at the end of Book 5. I thought it would be addressed at the beginning of this book. Sadly it's never been mentioned.

I've been enjoying this series quite a bit. My one "complaint" is that they are badly edited. There are many instances of wrong words used. Examples: sore instead of sorrow, shutter instead of shudder, who's instead of who, etc...This book had 6 or 7 obvious wording errors. Beyond that this series has been a solid 4 stars out of 5.

House of Vampires 6: The Fate of Magic (The Sons of Vlad Series)

This series has lots of action plus I LOVE this Authors sense of humor! She is a real toot ad I love the way she keeps comparing things to different Marvel comic books.
I recommend this series because there is a lot of action then the comic books are thrown for good measure which makes for an incredible story.

Lorena finds herself between the war of the Fae and Sirius. She is in the midst of the fae war and has managed to make a big stir. She has freed Titianna's slaves and now the fae o House of Fire is out to kill her. Her faithful vampires are there to protect her. What does Sirious have in store for Lorena? To be continued.

Vampires

Okay so I kinda knew what was going to happen in this one but it was still a shock. The new comer can't be trusted, baby in danger again, but I will say I am extremely excited that Wei is back

Still kind of like the storyline. But typo after typo. And the FMC seems to become more selfish, and self absorbed, by the day. Will read one more book, but if the typos, and dropped plot lines, keep getting worse I might not finish.

I have been enjoying the series but this one apparently got through without an editor--wrong words, missing words, some sentences made no sense. It was a mess. Not sure I'll continue the series. :(
