This book is self published by Osjetea (Prairie Flower) Gant Briggs. She was half Choctaw and half Cherokee. Only five foot tall with wide feet and small hands, she grew to be a remarkable woman. She was an artist, a photographer, a lecturer, editor of two small town newspapers and much, much more. This book is a compilation of articles she wrote for the Groesbeck (Texas) Journal and the Elkhart (also in Texas)Journal. She grew up in Limestone County Texas during the depression and World War II. According to Wikipedia, she died in 2002. The insights she showed in these articles in many instances still apply today. She never married as the man she loved for over 50 years and from whom received over 2,000 letters died of a heart attack just 5 days before they were to be married. It is a wonderful book but probably hard to find. It does not have an ISBN number but the Library of Congress Catalog Card number is 92-90109. It was printed by Texian Press in Waco Texas in 1992. I hope you can find it and read it. It is so inspiring.
