Flower Carrington is the invisible power behind Creative Chaos - and she’s in dire need of a break. Escaping the demands of her work and her famous family takes Flower to Japan, where she meets business mogul Akchiro Takeda.

Their attraction is instant, their passion all-consuming, their arrangement clear-cut: for as long as Flower remains in Tokyo, she will be Akchiro’s lover. But just as the raw heat between them blossoms into something sweeter, a threat to Flower’s family forces her to vanish.

Devastated but determined, Flower leaves Tokyo and Akchiro in her past only to find that she has unleashed another a threat;
a dragon hunting his lost mate...

She soon discovers that there’s no running from an alpha who wants you for his own and no hiding from a man who’s wreathed in his own secrets.

Despite her sudden abandonment, Akchiro is determined to find her. To take her. The question is - will he forgive her? Or will trust forever be the one thing they lack?

You don't run from a dragon,

Great book

This book took me on an adventure. Flower and Akchiro are total opposites and have a riveting first meeting. Akchiro is Japanese and runs a very successful business. He's demanding, domineering and drama free. Flower is sweet, hard-working, and experiences things with Akchiro that she wasn't unprepared for. This book is spicy, and has a great story. I was captivated by Akchiro's non-existent personality. Seeing his progress from being not emotionally available to showing emotions was sweet.

It’s really difficult for me to rate this book..I gave it three stars because I finished it. I really wanted to give it zero stars but I only do that when I DNF..idk!! All I do know is that this book was a hot mess from beginning to end.

I was excited to start it...the premise sounded really good. Something that I haven’t read before but Christ on a cracker ..sigh!!! Lotus Flower Bomb was immature to the 100th power. The heroine for being 26 years old was so immature ..insecure and she felt like she had no sense of herself. Considering she supposed to be a COO..the two just didn’t match!! She kept secrets that had no business being a secret..the hero was a Japanese Billionaire and he wasn’t keeping secrets and hiding who he really was so it made absolutely no sense why she would hide the fact that she was a COO and comes from a famous family. That’s was just one of the things that bothered me..if I listed everything this review would be like 10 pages..sigh!!

Bottom line is..I felt zero connection to these character because you never get a sense of who they really are because they never spoke to each other so I couldn’t give a damn if they ended up together or not. Also I felt zero chemistry between these two even though most of the book was of them in these intense sexual situation that would end awkwardly..but anyway...trust me when I say this book was not it ..like at all!!!

I want to erase it completely from my memory.

I'm always up to the challenge of discovering new writers. I enjoy books with alpha a—a hole with a domineering side. But this? I don’t know how the author could start a book with the two main characters going from hi—I don’t know you to—I want you to move in with me.

This induced me at WTF!!

I’m blinking in total reading mode confusion. How did we arrive here in a book that didn’t even develop the character's distinctive traits.

I don’t know who green light this book that should be still be lodged in a pile of books to be screened before publishing.

I try my best to give the story the benefit of the doubt and thought that maybe after scanning some more like I’ll grow to tolerate it, but the writing was dry, full of unnecessary descriptions that went on for pages and pages, and the dialogue was just plain horrible.

After being so lost in translation I tried forcing myself to finish it, but life is too short to spend my precious time on a book that builds no sense whatsoever so I’m bowing out. I can’t see myself torturing myself no more. So I DNF it eventually because I disliked the author's writing style.

This is a book with characters that doesn’t cause an impact and I know I’ll forget I ever downloaded this book.

Not something I’ll recommend at all.

Mixed feelings 3.5 stars

I was hard for me to rate the book. As much as I like Akchiro I really disliked Flower at times. They were polar opposite and it grated. I don’t know how old Akchiro was, and I suppose that being head of the family he was forced to mature quickly. Anyway he was so sure of himself and so mature that Flower appeared so childish and weak next to him. I know she was only 26 but one would think that being the COO of a big company she would be more assertive. She kept lying, making excuses and running instead of making an effort and really apologize. She didn’t try to understand him, his culture and his position better, she was just passive. Her co-dependency with her family and friends really annoyed me. From the beginning Akchiro told her that their relationship was private yet she turned around and not only told her friends but worse told them about their disagreement. It’s never a good idea to invite people into your relationship but it’s even worse for someone as intensely private as Akchiro. The whole miscarriage and new pregnancy was another case of her behaving appallingly. Not telling him was bad enough (worse than not telling him who she was. Which by the way given who he was was just dangerous and left him open to all kinds of issues) but to tell other people, in a public setting, about her pregnancy before telling him was unforgivable. Worse she allowed her friends to tell him to leave. Crazy. Such disrespect. Family loyalty is all well and good but she let hers control her too much. I know Akchiro is traditional however if anything her father and brother owed him an apology not the other way around. He really should have made it clear that he is the head of his house. And Flower should have made clear to her family that she wouldn’t tolerate any disrespect towards her husband. Akchiro in contrast didn’t expose her to his mother’s disapproval until things had been smoothed over. How dare Flower’s mother tell him that they should move forward? How convenient. It’s a good thing they lived in Japan because they would be the in laws from hell, putting their nose in their business daily. When they got back to Tokyo Flower really got on my nerves. It’s obvious that Akchiro had to grieve and come to terms with her betrayal so she could have tried to understand his business better for one and what happened to her production company? As an aside I would have liked to know their son’s name. I hope the brothers will not be with her friends. That would be too on the nose for my liking.

I Know I’ll be re-reading this story

Ok I have officially found another author who is in my favorite top 10, truthfully Goree-Bell might have bumped someone out of the top 5. This has everything I love 💕 in a good story, drama, sex, & alpha male and a bad ass sister. I read this in 3 hours that’s how good it is. I would love to meet a man like Akchiro, I mean 😯, give me good dreams. I know how Flower feels as well, man was I scare to have children after that happen, matter of fact I had a copper 7 IUD. Got it on January, my daughter was born in December, they even tried to get it out but it was wedged tight. I prayed through the whole pregnancy, because there was complications. She was gorgeous, still is, Thank you 🙏🏾 Lord for all my children, & for my 14 grandchildren. This is a great read.

That was OK. Still way too much 'ruthless' shout out, and more telling than showing, especially when it came for how incredibly smart and successful they all are... Also the whole indie production thing that Flower was working on felt a bit odd, since there was nothing in how she was portrayed that had a connection with that industry. Like, she was more of a 'fixer' type, handling things. Still, it was entertaining.

Confusing

This story had potential but was never realized. Why would the COO of a music empire need to travel incognito to Japan? And, this powerful woman is now a doormat to this unlikable man. I encourage the author to continue to hone her craft.

It's an OK read

I wanted to love this book but Flower did so many things to stop her own happiness. She lied and kept herself from him for what reason. She also seemed to be a child when dealing with her family.

This is my first Asian man-African American woman romance story. The characters, Flower Carrington and Akchiro Takeda, are instantly attracted to each other from their first meeting at a club in Tokyo, Japan. Flower is in Tokyo for some R&R, self-care, and a much needed break from her position as COO of her family’s famous music empire, Creative Chaos, that is responsible for the world-wide success of her brothers, FADE and Ghadi (RAPPER’S DELIGHT, Book One) in the entertainment world. In his own right, Akchiro, is a Japanese tech mogul, and the man in charge of his family’s billion dollar family business. He can trace his lineage back to the age of the Samurai. New money meets old money.

The flow of the story, at times, is choppy. I found myself going back a page or two to reread, because I just knew I missed something that was important to the storyline.

The HEA is so welcomed and wonderful after all the uncertainty, secrets, and angst that the hero and heroine deal with. I enjoyed LOTUS FLOWER BOMB, and I recommend it. It’s a story of two people from different cultures who, in spite of those cultural differences, and their own foibles, get it together.

Akchiro’s Flower🌸🌸🌸

Ok I had read Bad Guy and learned Akchiro had his own book and had to read about how he got with Flower.

Flower traveling to Japan to have some “ME” time was understandable. The way Akchiro made the move on Flower during their first encounter was like damnnnn OKAY🥵. They have chemistry, connected easily, enjoying each other’s company. I did wish Flower was more upfront about many of the information she kept from him that ended up putting stress on their relationship with each revelation😖. Akchiro‘s disappointment and anger with how she handled their time together and the way he pulled the rug up from under her was expected but still a bit of a shocking. Flower and Akchiro both had some hurdles when it came to their family. Glad to see how super protective the family was of Flower, especially the men in accepting Akchiro. It was nice that Akchiro mended thing’s with his mother so that she and Flower could meet and get to know each other😊.

If your like me and read Bad Guy first this book about Akchiro and Flower filled in some of the information. I really enjoyed it and again after reading Bad Guy I’m ready for more from the Takeda’s‼️

Flower Carrington has been working tirelessly, helping her brothers realise their goals in the entertainment industry. And all the working with no play leaves her feeling so burnt out, she books herself off and chases the sunset for a much needed sabbatical all the way in Japan.

There, Flower captures the attention of one of the most affluent men in the land. Albeit unknowingly. And when Akchiro Takeda decides to make himself known, Flower doesn't go jumping around in joy. Quite the opposite. But it doesn't really take long for his allure to win her over and to at least consider his proposition: become his lover for as long as she remains in Tokyo.

Soon, the arrangement becomes all too real but before they can even explore what each of their feelings mean, Flower has to leave for home as soon as she can, to attend to a matter of life and death she and her family have to face.

Flower's vanishing act hurts Akchiro deeply, along with other truths he ends up uncovering. Then he tracks her down to demand the answers he's owed and to make her atone for her wrongdoings and for hurting him the way she did.

Things weren't always easy or rosey or cutesy in this story and I think that's exactly the secret ingredient I needed to be kept at the edge of my seats the whole time I was reading. What a work of art. What a stunning read.

I greatly appreciate the small details that show the level of research and care that went into crafting this project. The smaller bits build so well into the bigger parts and make this story the powerhouse that it is. Granted, it was a bit challenging to get into the groove of things at first and there's definitely parts I do not agree with, but that doesn't change too much of how I feel about the book. I couldn't put it down.

What an emotional & beautifully written story. Akchiro and Flower were soulmates from the start. Those initial sparks from their first meeting spoke volumes and only grew throughout the entirety of the book.

It was an agreement that had an expiration date.....eventually, but let’s just say things changed, people changed and feelings most definitely became complicated. These two were the definition of passionate when they were together. There was angst, grief, misunderstandings, love, forgiveness all the juicy tidbits we love in a romance story.

I appreciated the author’s details while writing such a diverse interracial story. You could definitely tell her research was thorough when it came to the asian culture. It made the book very authentic.

The meshing of these two races and backgrounds just showed that love sees no color and when faced with obstacles the fight is worth it in the end. Just wanted to also add that Akchiro has officially stolen me away from FADE. He has made it on the book boyfriends list. Lovely job done by the author and I hope we see a few more books coming out of this world.

I liked that this story filled in any gaps and unanswered questions from Mogul Book #1 about Flower. I remember that Flower was very sad in the first book and finding out that she had a miscarriage was so disheartening. I did like the fact that Flower was a virgin and battled depression. Overall I didn't really fall in love with Flower and Akchiro as a couple. I kind of felt like they didn't really know each other enough to even start a family or go through with a marriage. Akchiro wasn't very likable in a majority of the book. Of course I could understand that he was upset about not knowing about Flower's first miscarriage but he could've been a little bit nicer or more sympathetic towards Flower. I think their wedding night was a complete disaster! I did like that we got an update on FADE and Delightful. Overall I'm still looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Culture Clash

Flower went to Japan to regroup. She has a high-powered job working for her brother the biggest Rap Star on the planet. She is traveling incognito. She meets tech mogul Akchiro. Soon for reasons not fully explored she has moved into his penthouse, however they have too many secrets separating them. When her brother is shot, she immediately goes back home. She does try to reach Akchiro but with no luck. When she gets home she suffers a miscarriage. After a year of loneliness, they meet again but this time it is across a board room. There are so many reasons to like this story. However, both characters were needlessly secretive and self-destructive. Several times I wanted to just shake both of them. They do have a happy ever after but they struggled when they didn’t need to.

Lotus Flower Bomb- Kenya Goree-Bell 🪷

Billionaire romance
Insta love
Possessive alpha male
Interracial love

I adored Akchiro and Flower's relationship! He was so protective and knew what he wanted .He was a man used to being in charge and taking care of his family - seeing what he wanted in Flower was no surprise. How do you take a private, independent woman and care for her in a way she is not used to? I appreciated the levels of gestures of love taken throughout. Love is an action word and Akchiro was not afraid to show her that.

For the romantics and lovers of being catered to by a Billionaire boss, this is the perfect book. The Japanese culture surrounding this story was endearing, fascinating, and addicting.....

Lotus Flower

This book is the sequel to "The Mogul Series" following Flower and Arkchiro. This book gave me some Theodora Taylor I mean the author did mention her 🐉 series. Yes I caught that girl anyway Flower is a boss B whose in need of a break so she decides to take a sabbatical for a year in Tokyo. One night with her two best friends leads her to her soulmate Arkchrio. There was a lot of growth needed for both characters that am happy to say we see at the end. Arkchrio was an alpha for but I love that he still have Flower a choice. I've really enjoyed this series and I hope there are more to come.

Confused

The dialogue was so confusing or maybe its me and I need to brush up on AL dialect but some of the language didn't fit and it kept throwing me off. It was part old south millennial / boomer it was weird. I liked how the book started but I have to admit I was hoping for something different and not the same red string of fate, samurai trope. This is my humble opinion. Writing is hard and the author did her job, I read the entire book and left a review. Keep writing Kenya!

I like this book

I felt like this book should have been longer. Because i had questions like how he taken over his father company and why kill his father after he had 3 kids and not kill the kids. So do that mean that his mom is a Samurai or a ninja. Why didn't they get married again in Japan. Besides all that i still like the storyline. I would tell my friends to read this book. It was good not great for it didn't have what make you feel flower pain missing that element that make you feel flower's pain of her losing her child. This a good book.

I loved the concept of this book and I really wanted to love the story but it wasn't for me. The smut scenes were good but their interactions outside of the bedroom didn't make me feel like they had very good chemistry. I also felt like some of the word choices were unnecessary or just seemed too complex for the context they were trying to show. Like I feel like they still didn't get to know each other very well even though they went through a lot together.

Some small issues but very readable.

There were some distracting typos, but nothing terribly heinous.

This book was an addictive read, zipped through it in an afternoon. The only real problem was occasionally the hero and heroine would act in ways and make decisions that didn't seem supported by their previous actions.
Their relationship was incendiary, and barring the aforementioned issues, very enjoyable.

Promising, but...

1st book I read from this author. The story was good, but could have been so much better. I really enjoyed the Japanese customs. The heroine was a strong business woman, which is always the book for me. However, the author really, really needs an editor. Also, her wording. Is disjointed and very odd at times. One wonders if English is their native language. A lot of sentence fragments and typos.

all the feels

I got all the feels from reading Flower and Akchiro’s love story . I read about them in Bad Guy and just had to read this for myself . This book was totally different in it had me all in my feelings . I felt for Akchiro since it seemed he couldn't do enough to make Flower understand him as much as he understood her . Eventually she came around and although hurt Akchiro forgave her .

What a journey of trust!

Longer than I had been reading lately, but the sample really had me interested to see how this couple would make it. I couldn't put it down. The author doesn't disappoint. There's drama throughout - most caused by our heroine's inability to come clean with the hero. He doesn't offer up words of love easily, but his actions were speaking volumes. Good read.

Akchiro Fell for Flower the moment He Saw Her

At first glance Akchiro seems ruthless and mean to Flower. Gorgeous, tall, sexy as hell and rich, it’s expected. However, all he wanted to be was by her side to cherish her. Of course there times he didn’t know how to show her that and he also wasn’t keen on her love language. When they were finally in sync, their love blossomed.

Emotional

Oh my goodness! This novel was an emotional rollercoaster ride. It was really hard to relate to some of the things Hana did, but you couldn't stay mad at her. The same goes for Akchiro. He was very high handed, but set in his cultural ways. He was hurt, but some of his actions hurt the both of them more. The HEA was well deserved. Beautiful story! 😍

He fired her

I was looking forward to reading Flower’s story after being introduced to her in Rapper’s Delight and she was suffering a heartbreak. A lot of their problems could’ve been avoided if they communicated with one another and got out of their own heads. I’m glad they eventually got it together and got their HEA.
