***4 STARS***

One thing about Nichole Rose is she writes an excellent instalove novella. This one features an ex-military hero and a curvy software designer.

Great descriptive writing and character driven. Extremely steamy and a wonderful read.

New series from Nichole and boy i love her men!! They are so alpah and yummy. This one was fun and steamy.

Liberty is hired by Killian an ex army guy to help make an app for his bussiness and at first look he is over the moon for her but he is alittle bossy and jerky to her at first. But he's thinking she already dated or slept with his brother, which she never has their relationship is tension at first but its flirty and fun once they start being around one another. Liberty just pulls back tiny bit when Killian goes alpha and wants to move her in already.

But I enjoyed how he tried to pull back and give her space 😭😂😂 lasted few hours.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore celibate

"You're jealous."
"I'm not fucking jealous," I lie, even though I'm definitely fucking jealous.

Love Nichole Rose! This Claimed series is the best. I accidently read book 2 first and loved it so I went back and read this book. So happy I did. I really liked both Liberty and Killian (ugh that name! love!). I can't recommend this series enough. I think that I made twenty highlights in this novella which should tell you something. Check out those highlights for excerpts from the story.

Cute insta-love story with a curvy girl! Love reading stories where the bigger girl gets the sexy guy.

This is also an age gap, which I loooove. Liberty is 22 and Killian is 36. The moment they both saw each other they were pretty much hooked. A few days and they were already in love and moving in together. But hey, it’s how these stories go.

Sexy but no plot.

I didn’t care for it. Its a book I’ll forget about in a day or two- The book had little to no story.

But huge plus for the body positivity represented in the book.

Love it

So love this story. Veterans are a cause close to my heart. Add in a curvy, computer nerd and a Marine and I’m all in. Great story and the instant chemistry is electric.

Possessing Liberty (Claimed, #1) by Nichole Rose ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hero - Killian Thorne. Colonel in the Marines on ready reserve status. Also independently wealthy. Runs a program that re-acclimates soldiers that have served on classified missions back into society. Tall and muscular with dark crew cut hair and crystalline blue eyes with flecks of gray. Little lines around his eyes and mouth, scruff on his jaw, and a scar that bisects his right cheek. Tattoos on his chest and shoulders.

Heroine - Liberty Connor. Software engineer and currently in college. Carries some extra weight and has lush curves, mink-brown hair that’s dyed blonde at the tips, and honey-colored eyes. Height-wise, comes up to Killian’s chest.

Overall Thoughts - I really enjoyed reading it, though I did find my attention wandering a bit. I don’t know if it was the story or if I’m just distracted today. Maybe both! Either way, I think my favorite thing about the book was how the H/h communicated. Sure, there was a hiccup thanks to their opposing natures (she’s a brick wall and he’s basically a bulldozer), but it was handled swiftly. I love that not only was the hero willing to admit his “faults” when they’re pointed out, but that the heroine was able to see her own and take responsibility when she makes a mistake. I say faults in quotations because they actually weren’t - a fact that Liberty admits to herself almost immediately after pointing them out.

This story has good characters, lots of steam, and even tugs at your heartstrings a little bit with Liberty’s backstory.

Side note: the characters Dominic (Liberty’s boss) and Summer (Liberty’s BFF) Alessi are from A Touch of Summer. I haven’t read that one yet, but for fans of that book, here are the updates we get on their life: . I do love when authors connect their books with previous characters, but the downside is that it can get overwhelming when you haven’t read much of their backlist.

Killian’s (not identical) twin brother Sebastian’s story is up next in Teaching Rowan.

Liberty is an software engineer who has had a difficult life, her mother died when she was young, her father suffering from PTSD couldn't handle the loss and turns to drugs and alcohol and loses custody of her. Growing up in the foster care system she does not trust easily and doesn't let people in.
Killian is a retired Marine who has used his families millions to open a facility to help military members re-acclimate into society. He requests Liberty to make the app that will help the veterans. The two take one look at each other and are immediately attracted to each other. Killian is a little gruff because of his attraction and Liberty thinks he is a hot jerk. To make up for their first meeting he buys her flowers and a blanket for their office. The two head to dinner and then to Killian's house where they spend the night together and he tells her he loves her. The next day he wants her to move in with him and goes all alpha on her. She pushes back and he feels terrible for railroading her. So he backs off for half the day and can't do it anymore and wants to apologize to her. Liberty realizes that she loves him too and wants to move in with him, goes home to get something that is very important to her. While coming back to the office has an accident that freaks Killian out. The two confess their feelings and have their happily ever after. Epilogue one year later with Liberty delivering a baby boy.
I loved how sweet the two were to each other, Killian was alpha but was willing to listen to what Liberty had to say. He respected her computer skills and her insecurities, he saw her and listened.

As I was reading this, I found myself feeling warm and fuzzy. I liked both of the main characters and their chemistry, and I also didn’t find myself distracted by a bunch of inner questions.

I couldn’t help but think to myself as I was reading “This is a pretty good description of a healthy relationship- only it’s being fast-forwarded.”

This story isn’t necessarily fast paced, but the relationship itself definitely is (that’s not a bad thing, it’s just a fact). This is a pure fluff story about 2 people falling in love. There are no complications, no misunderstandings, and everything is resolved like clockwork. To be honest, seeing how smooth their communication and understanding of one another is- kinda made me envious. I wish real life was so easy- but that’s why I say they have a good relationship. Even if it’s not realistic to fall in love and trust another person within a day, the way they interact with one another is great. They notice when the other needs something, or is uncomfortable- and strive to make them happy and comfortable in turn.

It makes me happy :)

I recommend this story if you are new to erotica, and also to veterans of the genre who just want something a little more wholesome with their smut. For me, Smut is a fun and easygoing genre, but I have to admit, that I can get bored reading about 2 people with zero personality (with their only distinguishable trait being their job/position) after awhile.

This is pretty fresh. It’s a little different, a little sweet, and pretty wholesome.

NOTE: If you are interested in the smut- please know that there are only 2 sex scenes (which are pretty good!), with the main focus of the story being the build up of their chemistry and relationship.

Who loves a man in uniform? If you raised your hand....grab this book NOW!

Meet Killian: Grumpy older man who is set in his ways. Hardly talks and doesn't really show any emotions, unless he is giving you an order or growling at you. I love him! Watching this grown man fall hard for Liberty was entertaining at the most. From him second-guessing himself....should I or Should I not? Very charming! Especially the scene with him providing Liberty a blanket so she doesn't get cold in the office! Who would not love a guy like this? Killian is known to be hard due too his upbringing in the military, but that is to be expected. When he falls for sweet Liberty....watch this man go drown :)

Liberty: Sweet young lady, who grew up in foster care all her life. Works at a company that creates apps and keep to herself. Has walls built up, but Killian comes in and knock them all down. Liberty doesn't date and was caught off guard meeting Kilian for the first time. She is instantly attracted to Killian, even though she does feel that Killian is rude and has no people skills. That all changes when her and Killian spend days in the office and cupid shoots them both in the ......you know where...Lol!

This book was refreshing and I wish it did not end! You guys just buy the book....5 stars all the way!

One billionaire humble vet alpha H needed one independent smart and guarded sweet h to develop his app to ease one and his biggest (charity) project.

Nichole Rose books were one of those delightful instalove books with very minimum drama and playing-hard-to-get kinda drama. Just like good delicious cream-filled goodies where instalove filled with complete and touching background story for each MCs, well decorated with equally interesting supporting characters, andddd garnished with a good balance of possessiveness; not much but enough. I liked how Nichole decided to write a smart and independent h with guarded heart due to her insecurities and struggling past. A good match for determinant H who was strong in every sense of way. Ugghh warm and gooey!!

Another new author for me, Nichole Rose is everything I hoped she would be. Insta-love, check. Hot and steamy, check. Great characters, check. Killian is a grumpy hot guy, bossy and intense. Once I found out this, I was hitting the one-click button. Liberty is an awesome programmer, independent and a bit of a loner. Raised in the system, she has had no support system until she came to work for her boss, Dom and with his wife, Summer. When the curvy computer whiz is asked to come to her boss's office, that is where Killian lays eyes on the woman he is going to marry. He needs a programmer for his project and she is the only one he wants. Lordy, this was hot and sweet and just FIRE! I adored it, flying through it in an hour or so. I'm going to buy this lady's whole catalog, that is how much I loved it! Cannot wait to get my hands on more Nichole Rose!

You Sold Me With The Cover!

I'll admit to buying this book because my cover girl model crush was gracing the cover. No shame in my game lol

But luckily for me Nichole did the cover proud and wrote a fantastic older man/younger woman, curvy girl romance to go along with it!

I loved Killian's gruff military man exterior and that totally soft, fell hard and fast for his woman interior. He was my ideal H material.

Liberty was also equally amazing she is brilliant (hello working with computer code!), had some definite sass and spark to her, and was a gorgeous curvy girl who had a hard life full of losses that just needed to find her home...and she did with Killian.

Loved their fast paced insta-love connection, it was a great story!

A Great Read!!!

I enjoyed reading Possessing Liberty: A Older Man, You her BBW Romance(Claimed Book 1)!!! All about Liberty Connor she is twenty-two a software programmer & Killian is in his late thirties a decorated Marine and a billionaire. He hires Liberty to work on an app to make sure Vet’s can reacclimatize into society. He’s running a program for special forces from all branches of the service, to help get them off the field recuperate them then line them up with services to get them back into the real world! Read about Liberty & Killian to see if together they can pull off this Insanely brilliant idea!!! This is a page turner that will keep you on your toes, making you laugh, smile, moan & breathing very heavy!!!! Hope you enjoy reading it,as much as I did!!!

Really sweet

Some of these insta-love stories are good but a little too OTT for my tastes. They read more like insta-lust vs love. Doesn’t stop me from reading them, but I don’t review because, it’s not that they are bad, they’re just not my favorites and it’s not fair to ding an author because of my personal preferences. Now stupid plots or grammar/spelling mistakes - watch out!

This one, however, was just right. Insta-love where the couple actually spent time together and you could feel the chemistry as a result. They were both damaged and fit together perfectly. Really well done.

I have been meaning to read this book for what feels like a long time. I sometimes feel Nichole Rose's books are on the chill side, but this was more than a small story.

It's the book of Killian and Liberty, who have a connection from the moment they meet. After that things develop pretty quick, a bit rushed with the love declaration but so nicely written overall.

Both characters are pretty balanced in their traits, and while they both have hard pasts the book doesn't delve more than necessary into them. Just the right amount to give the story real substance and all the good feelings. Loved the last paragraphs, such a beautiful way to end the book's theme.

So meaningful.

While this is another 🔥 story by Nichole Rose, it is so much more. Not only does it touch on the loneliness and neglect many foster care kids go through it also focuses a light on so many veterans that come home and feel forgotten and alone. So thank you Nichole Rose for giving us a steamy, sexy love story, as well as a reminder that we should always remember our veterans and the price they and their families pay for our freedom.

A story that would make you tear up in a good way.

A great story about an OTT hero Killian who knows what he wants and go for it. The heroine, Liberty, did not have an easy childhood and she built a wall around her heart to protect it. She needed Killian to break down those wall so she would learn to accept love from him and her friends. They are so perfect for each other and it’s great to see the hero works hard to show the heroine how much he loves her.

It’s the baby girl for me

After recently seeing clips of the new Netflix movie 365 days or whatever. As soon as baby girl starting popping up I literally laughed out loud. I’m sorry but Maximo or whoever completely ruined the term (and not in a good way). Unfortunately I couldn’t get through the rest of the book because he wouldn’t stop calling her baby girl and I couldn’t stop cringing. Sorrryyy it’s the baby girl for me.

HEA For Liberty

This book was short and sweet. It was very well written and had great dialog between Killian and Liberty. Most of these books are typical and boring. Although Killian was an over the top Alpha Male, fierce, and protective, he treated Liberty like a queen. Liberty was a BBW who grew up in the Foster Care system. She had a hard time believing Killian's love. I love that the BBW got the "hot" guy (TDH, tats, rich). Loved the epilogue.

I love this author and this book is wonderful. It has everything I look for in my reads. It’s well written, has engaging characters and an actually storyline while still being hot AF. Low angst but not so low that there’s nothing beyond the love story. I adored and connected with the veteran and foster care aspects of the storyline and while I smiled through a good portion of the book I also shed a few tears over the emotional aspects of the story. It was a total winner for me.

Normally I hate the insta love books but they way this is written you can actually envision the reality in it. I will say there are a few things Killian says where I was like ooooo come on and Liberty was wordless aside from saying “Killian!” But that is my only negative. I like the quick read the little tiny bit of drama. The way Killian cares so deeply for Liberty as soon as he sees her he’s a done deal. Great Read!

Loved it

This book touched really close to home for me. My husband, the love of my life, is a veteran. He has seen so many of his fellow vets fall through the deep dark hole instead of having the help available when they need it. I'm glad this book talked about the need for more services besides the VA. The book was sweet, dark and sexy too!

I'm a sucker for the military.

I so adored this book. I love stories about veterans and some of the struggles they have. I also love Insta love stories so this was a two for one. I did make me cry though and if I'm crying I know it will get to some other people but there was a happily ever after so its all good. Thank you for sharing your world with me❤
