A collection of concept art and preliminary sketches for the first volume of Blacksad, Somewhere Between the Shadows. Includes an interview with the writer and illustrator. Very nice book for those interested in how comics are made. Especially liked the cinematic influences that were explained by Canales. Fans will definitely appreciate this book, although I wouldn't recommend it for those who haven't read volume one yet (due to spoilers).

When I requested this from our library I thought I was getting the story. This book is fascinating on the making of a comic/graphic novel. Canales & Guarnido are obviously quite talented and now I REALLY want to read the story.
