Rule #1: Do not sleep with your best friend Rule #2: If you sleep with your best friend, sneak out like a thief in the night and hop a plane to another continent to avoid embarrassment Rule #3: Once safely on another continent, do not answer your phone, text messages, or email. In fact, you should burn them all Rule #4: Pretend that night and your entire friendship never existed and start a whole new life Rule #5: Do not, under any circumstances, return to the scene of the crime…
I have kept these five simple, totally reasonable rules for the last six months, focusing all my energy on my new job at Vector Racing. A full Atlantic Ocean away from Hunter Holland and my great big terrible mistake. I would rather end our friendship than face being friend-zoned by the handsome shortstop with magical hands that gave me a night I’ll never forget. (Seriously, I didn’t know that could be so good… *shivers*) But now I’m in very real danger of breaking Rule #5. My boss is dragging me back across the ocean for a meeting with the Mantas where I’ll be forced to hide in the shadows and creep around every corner just in case Hunter isn’t with the team in Seattle. Which of course he will be. Why wouldn’t he?

No one knows Tilley Villanueva better than I do. Which is why I’m not mad she ghosted me after the best night of my life. I know she’s freaking out and probably has a whole set of rules she created to help deal. She’s cute like that. That’s why I made my own set of rules. The only way to fight fire is with fire. One of these days I’m going to get Tilley alone again, and when I do, all bets are off.
*Naked is a crossover novella containing characters and places from The Storm Inside and Wild Pitch series. You do not have to read these series to enjoy Naked!
Alexis Anne writes page-turning romances that will leave you breathless and wanting for another happily ever after. Her new book KING OF WANDS is available now!
Fast. Volatile. Gorgeous. Those are the words they used to describe Kingston Reynolds on the first day of my internship. Well, it wasn’t so much of a description as it was a warning. Do not fraternize with the drivers if you want to keep your job.
“My very first Alexis Anne book and now I'm wondering what I've been waiting for. It was a real page turner!! Gripping, edgy and very exciting.” --Tish Cocktails and Fairytales
I'd give this book 2.5 stars. I liked that Tilley isn't your typical female lead. It almost seemed like she has a form of Asperger. The book was told from both Hunter's and Tilley's pov. However, I'm disappointed in the ending. I would have liked to see how the long distance relationship would have worked with both careers. Plus, the book just seemed to end. The book had good potential.
Fun, but a little too heavy on the smut, light on the actual relationship. The beauty of the best friend story is the friendship it starts with, isn't it? I'd like to have actually seen that rather than fast-forwarded through it.
She is smart woman in a mans sport, but still not sure about how to deal with him
Naked is the fifth book in The Callaway Chronicles series. The book description said it had characters from both The Storm Inside series and the Wild Pitch series so I was not sure if I would be able to understand everything in this story, as I have not read either of those series. But as I have read all of The Callaway Chronicles series I decided to pick this one up and take a chance. This novella is a quirky and funny story about best friends Tilly and Hunter. She is a genius who works for Vector Racing and he is a shortstop for the Mantas. They have both crushed on each other for years and one drunken night end up in bed together for a life altering and very satisfying experience. But she runs with the excuse that she is leaving the country with the racing team. But she is really fleeing her feelings for Hunter and her fear of rejection. However, Hunter is not about to have that for the long term. So when Tilly comes back to the US Hunter is on the hunt for her and once he has her in his sights he is going to show her exactly how he feels. Let's just say that the first time together may have been life altering but when they are both sober it is going to be earth shaking for them both. I really enjoyed this book in the series. It is fast-paced, fun, intriguing and very entertaining. I loved Tilly's character as she is a woman working in a mans sport...auto racing. As a woman that likes to work on cars I could relate. I also loved Hunter as he knew he needed to give Tilly some time alone to be in her head about them after their first night together. But he also knows that he is not going to let her get away from him now that they have crossed that line.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Tilly, a numbers genius who works for Vector Racing, she is the classic egghead who loves sports and statistics. Hunter is a shortstop for the Mantas and together these friends have everything you would want in a best friend. Except, they both really secretly wanted the other, but were afraid of rejection (Classic right?). After Tillys job forced her to leave the country she decided after a night of heavy drinking to toss caution to the wind and have an incredible, mind altering one night stand with Hunter, and then sneaks out before dawn and leaves Hunter alone in bed. Hunter, who knows his best friend is just skittish and probably feels ashamed decides he isn't done with his little hellcat and when he hears she is back in the US (But he is in Seattle and she is in Tampa). He takes off the first flight he can get and hunts her down! What happens next? He convinces her to stay with him until she has to fly back, and then proceeds to show her exactly how he feels, I found this second chance love story to be tender at times and holy hot smoking panties the next page. Can a nerd and a sports star have a HEA? Yes... Yes they can and what an amazing ride. I loved watching timid Tilly meeting the wives and GF of other ball players and finding out that they aren't the empty headed model types she was told were the type of women ball players were attracted to, instead they. were women just like her, with jobs and amazing personalities, oh and very dirty minds!

Making compromises allowed their love to flourish in difficult circumstances! by sewsummore
Hunter and Tilley had been friends before they were lovers. They spent a lot of time together, never letting the other know that they felt more than friendship for each other. Then on their last night together fueled by alcohol and unsatisfied libido, they made love, and then she left him with a word. It was six months of missing him, but it was six months of Hunter trying to call her with no response. When they finally meet again, their true feelings are revealed, and despite their work commitments, they spend as much time together as they can and make it work. This story was one that I enjoyed reading because the characters were people to whom I could relate. Opening their hearts to each other was the first step. Working together and making compromises allowed their love to flourish in difficult circumstances. They recognized each other's dreams and never let them be taken for granted, knowing there would come a time in the future when they could be together always. Prove their love by a + b 4.5 I liked this story mostly because of the character of Tilley. She's a genius of numbers, statistics, and when a relationship does arise she overanalyzes it and finds herself confronted with her more animal than intellectual part. Her in-depth analyzes are a complex experience for her, while her partner, on the contrary, knows very well what he wants: her. The story is very well written and very hot, even torrid. Tilley, after a first relationship with his best friend Hunter, (a baseball player) ran away to work in Europe. But they find themselves again in the United States, and while Tilley thought she could avoid him, Hunter understood that he was in the friend zone, and he intends to change her mind by putting her face to face with herself and her contradictions. I am so in love with Tilly and Hunter! This is the 5th book in the Tease series and I love how the characters from other books in the series intertwine within the following stories. I love how the characters from prior books keep being revisited so its not just over after you've invested yourself in their stories. Tilly and Hunter have been best friends for the last two years, both harboring big feelings for each other but afraid to cross the friend zone and ruin everything. When Tilly finally lets her analytical brain let go and give them an honest shot, it is absolutely beautiful and the steamy scenes are freaking hot! I highly recommend this whole series but also recommend reading them in order. You won't regret immersing yourself in this world!

I felt no connection to the characters nor between them. We don't know the history of the characters, just that they are friends and had sex once. I prefer when a book is more about showing rather than telling. Just saying that they are best friends who had sex and she panicked and flew did nothing for me. It would be better witnessing the friendship and understanding the characters to actually feel something between them. They get together in the beginning of the book and the rest is just sex... With very clinical talk. The female character had a way of speaking that made me think she was from the Spectrum, but the book said nothing about it so she was just weird/quirky and the way she talked about everything, even sex, just made me cringe. It was like she was giving a medical presentation in front of 1000 people and had to use very proper language, but actually she was just talking with her partner during sex/ about sex. The character didn't seem real or genuine.
This is a second chance romance. The story is about Tilly and Hunter. Tillie is a numbers genius who works for Vector Racing, and Hunter is a shortstop for the Mantas. Secretly, they both want the other. They had a one nighter, Tillie sneaks out before dawn and leaves Hunter alone in bed. Hunter, who knows his best friend is just skittish and probably feels ashamed that they spent the night. Tillie left for her job and when she does return he is in Seattle and she is in Tampa. Not allowing distance between them Hunter books a flight. He is able to convince her to stay with him until she has to fly back, and then proceeds to show her exactly how he feels,

Hunter patiently waited for Tilley after she ghosted him for six months. I loved the way he knew and understood her enough to give her some space after they crossed the best friends line by having a passionate night together. Once he knew she was back , she was his number one priority. Tilley’s sweet and nerdy personality was the cutest thing ever as she tried to live her life using mathematics as the basis of understanding. Many many many hot scenes ensued as Hunter convincingly persuades Tilley to give him a chance. A sweet and satisfying HFN as this storyline continues.

Steamy Romance 5 stars - Unlike “Crave”, the prior book in the series, “Naked” does not much have details on racing (Tilley) or baseball (Hunter). What it does have are lots of scenes that will make your Kindle sizzles. Hunter and Tilley have been best friends for 2 years. On the night before Tilley’s flight to take a job with Vector Racing, Tilley decided to sleep with Hunter. Then on the morning after, no note, no nothing, Tilley left and ghosted Hunter. The book is the story of what happened after six months. You have to read it! At times funny and heartwarming but most of all, hard to put down. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
Naked has Hunter who has loved Tilley for years. Their chemistry is so hot and steamy, but you can feel that it is more than just the sex. I love how Hunter really understands Tilley and work in a way to see things from her point of view and helps to adapt so that she will understand from his perspective. Their relationship is so awesome that it makes the reader happy as well. I love how these series of books from Alexis Anne since they all interconnect somehow and get glimpses into Isa and King from King, Adam and Elizabeth from Crave and June and Roman from Summer Heat!

This is a second chance love story and a very beautiful one at that. This is Hunter and Tilley's story. They have been friends for a very long time, both have crushed on each other without the other one realizing. One night was all it took, oh plus alcohol! Then Tilley bolts and ghosts Hunter, that won't help her because guess what! Hunter is patiently waiting in the wings for her to come back. You see, when you know the other half of your soul, you know exactly and that is to be patient. When he gets to see her again after 6 months of waiting. All bets are off. Will they get their HEA?

This was a really good book, but it was too short/rushed. I would have loved to have seen the buildup of Hunter and Tilley's feelings for each other, when they were still just best friends. For that reason, I would give it 4.5 stars, instead of 5.
Besides that, I really liked it, and I loved the author's writing style. I would recommend it, as long as you don't mind quick reads, and feeling like everything's kind of rushed.

Naked by Alexis Anne. This story features Hunter and Tilley and I thought it was great! I enjoyed them as best friends, and I LOVE them as a couple. Storyline flows at a nice pace and I thought it was an easy read. I especially liked the banter between the two and the fact that Hunter was not easily dissuaded from his pursuit, he was willing and patient to wait it out. Fast paced story filled with drama, personal conflicts, charming characters, sweet outcomes, and dual POV. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Naked is the story of Tilley Villanueva, who works for Vector Racing, and Hunter Holland, a shortstop for the Mantas team and her best friend who she fled from after a one night stand together. When Tilley has to return six months later for her job, Hunter is determined to persuade her to give them a chance as a couple. This compulsive read has humor, great characters, a heartfelt storyline, and a wonderful romance.

I love this story! It was engaging and beautiful. I'm happy I decide to get this book because it was more romance than about the sport. Tilley is avoiding her best friend. She is intelligent, sweet, and pretty. Hunter is the best friend Tilley avoiding. He is sweet, sexy, and smart. I love how patient he is with Tilley. Go on their journey to finally figure out their feelings. This is my first time reading from Alexis and she did an excellent job on this story! Good work Alexis Anne!
I like friends to lovers because the characters have a connection established. The book jumps right in and doesn't waste time on what happened before she ran because you can get that information as the story moves. Major points on that because I hate flashbacks to the past. There was a lot of bedroom time and that dropped a star because you missed the development of the friends to more stage. That is my only issue with the book. I think it could have been excellent with that little development aspect.
This book was hilariously short and to the point. They're in love and they are going to fuck and make it work. It just ends before anything gets complicated and I kinda loved that.
The author wrote in a way that made it feel like all the other couples mentioned have their own books. While that's normal in romance novels, it was weird in this one because of how short it was, and this is the first one in the series. But DO they have their own books? Says something though that meeting them a little in this one did nothing to make me want to reach those other couples's stories.
Wowsers. She is a sweet innocent statistician who is all brains and no feelings. They are really good friends, but they had sex once and pretty much fried her brain. She could not figure out how to be both friends and lovers. This is a sex education in stories. Over 60% of the contents is descriptions of having sex. A good portion of the rest is people talking about having sex. Within the sex descriptions, he teaches her how to be both friends and lovers. The writing style is excellent … very conversational. Just a small amount of content and a whole lot of sex descriptions.
This is the first book in the Callaway Chronicles series. Naked is also a take-off from The Storm Inside and the Wild Pitch series. It didn’t pan out as I hoped it would. It was fun and it was easy to connect with Hunter and Tilley. For some reason, the author felt that to show how close and unique of a relationship Hunter and Tilley had it required a lot of sex. The story was overshadowed by them jumping one another on every other page. That was tiring and tedious. I skimmed through most of it because it became a bit ridiculous. If you can do that the story is pretty good.
This is the story of Tilly and Hunter. These best friends have secretly wanted more but were afraid to cross that line until they did one night. Then Tilly left the country for her job the next morning. Hunter understood her and waited until she returned to show her exactly what he felt for her. I enjoyed this entertaining, spicy, fun romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really liked Tilley and Hunter and their story was so sweet, But I have to be honest that I found this book long, I don’t know why because as I said I loved them and their story But it just felt like it dragged a bit, but I am looking forward to catch ups in the following books, and really looking forward to reading Need, King and Isla have been my favourite’s so far 😁

I've read a lot of books written by Alexia Anne; she has done a great job at writing another good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
