Sci-fi isn't typically my first choice to go to for reading but when I read the blurb I knew that I had to read this book. This book sucks you in on an amazing journey between two people who by aren't supposed to be together.

Jovianus has obligations to his people and Simone is technically an enemy to his kind. How do you stay away from the one person who gives you feelings of contentment and other feelings you've never truly felt?

This book had great world-building and character-building. The author's ability to build a world so intricate and compelling is a gift. The author set the level high for sci-fi reads. I can't wait for the next book!

My Tia Linda gave me this book when it was released and I can’t believe I waited this long to read it! I absolutely enjoyed it!! I saw that book number 2 was set to release in 2024. I plan on donating my book to a local reading group to garner more readers 😊. I have hope that the second one is still in the works!!!

A very intriguing tale with strong undertones.
I enjoy profound world-building, and this one captured my interest. The world and lore of the celestial beings kept me going, with some elements actually being thought-provoking, while the protagonists had me quite involved in their arc. Even though I'm not generally keen on the romantic elements in speculative fiction, I did rather enjoy the bond between Simone and Jovianus.
As a matter of fact, I'm now interested in what the next book brings. A definitely entertaining read.

This book provided a suspenseful plot with an unexpected twist that had me flipping pages with eagerness. The author’s ability to draw the reader in with the descriptive narrative is remarkable. I can’t wait for book two and whatever else this author has in store for this series.

"How is it possible that this undeniable connection that we share not only brings us together but somehow manages to pull us apart?" Simone knows this shouldn't feel so right. But doesn't come easy either.
Jovianus shares Simone's world, each one thinking the other's "race" is the elite one. A great story for what is going on in today's world. We are all here together, not one color, creed, or race is better than the other. All science fiction has a decorum of truth, and the first novel in the Celestial Trilogy is no different.
Whether you focus on the fantasy and created world or on the characters at the romantic center, you will not be disappointed. Easy to love as a teen or adult.

A Review by Miriam Calderon. 1/28/2022
This book, “Pneuma,” by Author Eli Liszt, I felt was a real magical experience. From the first pages you are quickly invited into the realm of the Celestial Beings’ world and there is great details conveying these Celestial Beings attitudes and viewpoints. This in turn leads to the book being, “very magical.” I had never read a book quite like this. I think it is very well written in that everything ties into place and also has a very neat and orderly storyline that grabs your attention from the start. What I liked most about this book was the details of the differences between the Celestial Beings and the humans. My favorite part was one where I actually felt I understood the view point of Jovianus, the leader of the Celestial Beings, and how he considers humans to be, “miserable mortals.” I really liked this viewpoint of Jovianus, it gave me more insight into their inner superiority and made me understand why a Celestial Beings would think that way. Really exciting ending, I can’t wait till the second book in this Celestial Beings Trilogy launches!!! I highly recommend this book for every type of reader, as it is a great engaging read!!!
My rating is with no doubt A FIVE STAR RATING!!!!!! Love this book!!!! And I must Thank the author of “Pneuma,” Mrs. Eli List for the Magical time I experienced while reading her book!

First book in a science fiction series. Two beings, Jovianus and Simone. Destined to be lovers but adversities keep them apart. A nice fast read. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and am waiting impatiently for the next segment.
