Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

The Hero:Andrei - a bear shifter and head of the Medvedev bear slueth in Russia. He was asked by the aunts from When a Liger Mates to help solve a mystery. He arrives at Hollie’s home in the US to do that. He is there to restore the honor of his sleuth with the pride after his sister
The heroine:Hollie - a lion shifter and part of the pride. She used to be one of the best hunters in the pride, but she got tired of all the drama that came with the job. She wanted a job that had regular hours where she wouldn’t be on call at all hours so she became a plumber.
The Story: A key was found in Russia in When a Liger Mates and the aunts ended up with the key. They want Hollie to track down what the key is for since so many people were willing to go to great lengths to get it. So Hollie and Andrei were supposed to work together on the mystery.
The book was told in dual points of view via solo narration and narrated by Troy Duran. Troy does a terrific job and has a very deep and sexy voice which matches the bear shifter perfectly. The story was interesting and like the other 3 books in this series I have read so far, there are some very funny scenes, and I just love the men in this series, they are all funny, arrogant and charming. Troy Duran does the voices and attitudes so well and was great with Andrei’s Russian accent.
Andrei was a kooky, funny guy. He is a mama’s boy that is afraid of his mother, he flies in the cargo section of a plane so he can avoid paying, despite the fact that he is rich, and he is so confident that he goes after whatever he wants no matter the obstacles. Hollie was also a very likable character.
I loved this fun, and funny, romp. LOL'd a few times. Enemies to lovers and opposites attract tropes... Andrei (MMC) is a bear shifter and Hollie (FMC) a lioness shifter who have a fun adventure and fall in love along the way. There was no way Hollie could resist that adorable chaos bear!
This is my first Eve Langlais and I can't wait to check more. She's created some great banter and an easy to enjoy story. Read out of order and it was fine.
🎧Audiobook Narrator: Troy Duran ❤️🔥🌶️ I found this book because of Troy Duran (this man's voice).
This book was crazy crazy crazy born like holy cow was I bored. Like just skip it it’s not even fun it’s this weird buddy cop/shifter romance but they don’t get along and they like each other but don’t like each other it was just really bad
This was another of Eve Langlais's fabulous and entertaining books. Hollie is a lion shifter and Andrei is a bear shifter. When Hollie's aunt's ask Andrei to help Hollie solve a mystery, Hollie is not very happy, but on the other hand Andrei is thrilled. He knows Hollie is his mate. Their adventure is exciting and fun.
Fun story, I absolutely love Andrei and Hollie. Their relationship is really cute, and I loved following them along as they fell in love. The adventure is great, with lots of running around and different settings. The aunts, hilarious, as well as the two mothers! Can't wait to find out more about the mysterious key in the next book!
Loved this! Another brilliant entry into this series. It was funny, sweet, hot, full of adventure, and with a sprinkle of mystery! Perfect book if you need an escape from RL and highly recommended! Can't wait for the next one!
* I recommend reading the previous two books minimal, as they set up the story for this book.
After his stupid, spoiled sister made his family to shame, picking a fight with the Lions and endangering a human, Andrei will stop at nothing to assist the Lions in their quest to find answers about the key in their possession. He might be a bear and working with lions isn't easy, but lioness Hollie ticks all his boxes and she might even be his mate. Together they will go on their hunt for information, but danger lurks around every corner.
This was a fun book, nothing went too deep again, but the story was full of action scenes and the characters fit together really well. There were fun moments and I like how we have a type of overarching story for the last couple of books, it makes you have something to look forward to. Still wondering why i'm bothering with this author, as I clearly grew past it, but with one more book in the omnibus to go I am commited to seeing it through.
Save your time and money. I own digital versions most of the books by this author and in the past she's been an automatic pre-order but I'm not sure I'm even going to read any more by her. I've always considered her stuff 'cotton candy fic' --light, fun, fluffy reads and perfect to listen to while I'm walking or working out on the elliptical. I don't know if she's running out of interesting characters or ideas, but this is the second book from this series to have unlikeable main characters. Honestly, if you like her lionesses--tough, fun, slightly psychotic women then don't bother with this book. She took a lioness and wrote a pathetic, whiny, weak damsel in distress.
The build-up of the story (the first half of the book) was fine. Decent plot to bring the H and h together and giving them a mystery adventure to go on. And the beginning of the adventure was good, their banter was fine and I was even okay with her being a mild-mannered lioness who preferred being a plumber. I just kept waiting to see her old security skills coming out and they never materialized. Think Donkey Kong, except she's Pauline with Andre (more donkey than Mario) rescuing her. She's undoubtedly the most disappointing lioness of the pride and I really didn't like Melly from When a Lioness Hunts, but at least she had character and was a kick-a$$ lioness regardless of her questionable morality. Hollie is just a peripheral character without any personality other than whining.
Without spoiling the ending--everything went downhill from the half-way point, culminating in an ending that was so utterly anticlimactic (not sure if there's a word stronger than that, but that's an understatement), that I was actually annoyed about the time I wasted on the book, never mind the money I spent on it.
Anyone who wants a book with laughter, action, a plot (did I mention laughter), with their paranormal romance will thoroughly enjoy this book. Okay, this series. I've already pre-order the next book😉
So happy author made her a happy female plumber. As well as her teddy bear a supplier of fresh food, produce. Did read thia out of order, but dis not make a difference
A Russian Bear who loves adventures meets a Lion who prefers to be a homebody who follows her own untraditional path. Loved the story and can’t wait to read more.
AUDIBLE Listened to in the audible box set Vol 3. I think you need to have read the previous books in this series to understand. I really enjoyed Andrei and Hollie’s story. The story of the key and book was entertaining and played out well. I found the ending with Peter very interesting. But Andrei being a Mumma’s boy, so funny. Loved that Hollie could stand her ground against both mothers. I wonder if Lada will return to continue her annoyance. BOOK REVIEW Just so entertaining and I loved Hollie and Andrei as a couple. The whole plot was great fun.
Because of a bad thing his sister, Lada, does to the Lion Pride, bear shifter agrees to help solve a mystery for them. He is teamed with lion shifter, Hollie, who is reluctant to get involved and especially reluctant to work with a bear. Their search leads them to South America and danger. Their was a lot of humor mixed with violence and sex. Humor was good; plot was very weak, like a segment of a larger work where various characters step in to move the story along.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. I loved the characters and storyline so much. Hollie and Andrei made me laugh. She was so against having anything to do with him and fell in love instead. Their adventures were cute. Lada his sister got her comeuppance which was nice. Mama bear was fierce but in the end was close to Hollie. On to Peter’s and Nora’s story. 😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰
3.75 stars A fun read, with more story time than the last few in the series. It was great, I felt like I actually got to know the characters interactions more, and didn't feel quite as short story in this one.
Thoroughly enjoyed Hollie & Andrei's story very much. I love reading a happy ever after story it makes me feel better after a hard day. Thank you for writing this story,
I love this series i liked this book inth8nk most if the wait what happened is mybee I missed a book but the book was good a nice easy read and pretty good sexy times I think the confusion is operator error
WOW a cliff hanger really. Okay sometimes you just need a mindless read after coming off a pretty intense read. Silly book, funny which includes a Mama's bear and lionesses. What I wasn't expecting was a darn cliff hanger. I guess onto Lion's Quest to see how it plays out.
This is a really cute shifter story with humor. I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narrator and his version of the Russian accent for Andrei the bear who is helping Hollie’s lion pride solve a problem. The romance is cute and has a number of tropes but I found it entertaining.
Eve hit this one out of the ballpark. I couldn't stop laughing. Best one in the series in my opinion. Will be hard to top but look forward to Peter's story.
Cute couple loved the mothers. Wish there was more of the couple then sex ... maybe in later books in this series. Can't wait for the book, with hopefully, Nora and Peter
