I'm stuck somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for this one. I did enjoy it, and on balance am glad I read the series, but at times the writing quality was not of the standard found in the previous two books. For example the word "arms" was used 4 times in 3 consecutive sentences, whilst repetition as a literary device can be used to emphasise a point, this just felt like sloppy writing or poor editing.
Shadowlands Sector, Three is the final instalment of a trilogy, and can not be read stand alone. It's a fusion of omegaverse and shifter, with the shifter aspects being dominant. The focus in this book was much more on the plot, with lots of intrigue, battles and underhand deeds. I loved the storyline and how the plot evolved, though it did drag and seem to repeata lot at times.
We still get to spend some intimate moments with Meira, Dulsan, Lucian and Bardhyl, though I would have really liked a scene with them all towards the end, just to bring that element of romance back into the story. And sadly for me, the scenes with the Savage Sector characters just felt shoe-horned in for the sole purpose of hooking the reader into a spin off series. They weren't really an organic part of this story, just a convenient plot device and it took away from the power of this quartet's story.
I would still recommend the series, but I'm now not 100% sure if I'll read the next one.

This story should have been told in one book. Each instalment is just dropped off where ever. None of the instalments in this series can be considered to be full books. And, no, its not cliffhangers, they all all bits and pieces of the story that are left in the middle of whatever problems the MC are dealing with at the time. Its really annoying and I believe if I had to buy this books I would be demanding my money back.
The story in its entirety could be a 4 star so if you are getting the books from KU or the library, get the full set, it won't be a too frustrating reading experience.

Meira isn't going to run anymore. Her world is nothing without her three gorgeous alphas. Yet they have been captured, and the only choice might be to let her inner monster out. Though in doing so, she may save her mates, but she could lose herself in the process.
What an incredible ending to the series! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Meira seemed in an impossible position, but I love the twists and turns this story took us on. As if an immensely cruel wolf wasn't horrible enough to deal with, there is the whole problem with the undead. And Meira's strange connection to them. I loved the mystery surrounding it and how it all came together. So well done.

This book is totally amazing!!! This trilogy has had me hooked since book one so I was more then ready to start reading this finale. We catch back up with Meira after she shifted for the first time. Her wolf is totally awesome I must say. Not enough to completely save the day though as Mad captures her men after his takeover making it necessary for her to rescue them. Things are never that easy though so a few surprises are along the way that leads to mind blowing ending that makes you happy for them all. A total must read if you like shifters, zombies, or reverse harem. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, and it sucks that it has ended.
There was so much more action in this, which was great. However, I feel there were some things that could have been touched upon more.
The guys in this are fantastic, and that has been consistent throughout the series, so that is always a plus.

This one was disappointing. Elementary writing with main characters just constantly reacting to what is happening to them. I don’t buy the most badass alpha in the sector has zero allies in his own pack and makes such terrible plans. It ended fine, but the series started much stronger than it ended.

Such a great conclusion to this unique and addictive series. Meira and her alphas get their HEA and it is a satisfying ending overall. This author has a true gift to create such a unique world with a spin on shifters and zombies and fated mates.

I can’t believe I’ve binge listened to the whole series in two days. These books are so addictive it’s crazy. With a really good strong storyline it has been written very well. And with a fantastic performance from Krys , it is the cherry on the top.

I was so excited to get a chance for an ARC copy of this book after reading the first two in the series. Even with trying to start this on a Holiday weekend between daily life and work it took me longer than expected to read this one though.
Unfortunately the finale of this trilogy didn’t wow me the way books 1 & 2 did. I’m not sure if it was the dialog between the characters that threw me or the advancement of the plot but it was more of an “ok” read than an awesome read for me. I’m still happy I read the series and would be willing to check out the spinoff Savage Sector series.
Readers should be aware this is not a standalone book and should be read in the order of the trilogy. It’s also a RH/MMMF shifter/omegaverse style romance so if that’s not your thing you’ve been warned.

Unfortunately I found it boring and it was pretty short, it reminded me of book 1, which I didn't much care for. I liked book 2 more, I still don't care for Lucien or Bardhyl and only wanted her with Dusan. I am looking forward to the Savage Sector series that comes next though. Hoping I connect with it more.

In the first book, Dušan explains that he and Mad have the same father, but different mothers. Now, in this book, suddenly it’s his step father not his actual father. It doesn’t make sense.
The constant repeat of past information from the first two books is completely unnecessary. I don’t know if the author thought that perhaps we forgot and needed a reminder or what, but I’ve almost stopped reading about ten times because I’m not interested in reading a bunch of information that I’ve already read.
Once again, a lot of this book www unnecessary filler and the final battle was so anticlimactic. I expected so much more with Mad, his followers, the pack, the zombies, and we didn’t get any real closure at all. It just rushed.

The series started off well. I began to get tired of the plot (and the amount of time they spent roaming around the forest) toward the end of the second book and into the third book.

Shadowlands Sector Three is by far the best book in the entire series as everything comes to a head and we wait to see if the author is going to rip out our hearts or give us the happily ever after we crave! Out of all of them it is definitely the most action-packed, as one thing after another gets thrown at you constantly leaving you gasping for breath. You almost feel as if you are in a fight for the survival of your heart! I am definitely going to have to up my review to 4.5 stars for this one!
This incredible author has used off her many skills to bring us the most adrenaline-spiking conclusion to Meira's story. Throughout my reading, my heart was consistently in my throat as I could do nothing more than wait to see what the outcome was. The feelings this book spurred inside me at times were similar to how i imagine Meira feels when she is fighting her wolf for control. I was constantly battling my inner need to know that these characters who had wormed inside my heart survived trying not to skip ahead and spoil it. I am thankful to say I won this battle ... just!
Unfortunately, as the book starts it's clear that the author is not about to give Meira an easy ride. Her wolf is finally out and she feels such completeness like she never has her entire life but it comes with a dark twist. Meira must fight against her wolf to prevent it from taking control and losing herself and turning savage on everyone including her mates. Although, if Mad wanders along her path whilst she's like this are any of us really going to mind?

This quote called warmed my heart at the emotion behind them and there were many scenes with Meira hearing the most heartfelt deep words that turn you insides into goo.
This was an incredible read and a fantastic way to end Meira's story and I am very intrigued about the new group of Alpha's we get a brief introduction too. I am going to need more of them about them in future books. But does Meira and her alpha's get their happy ending or do they all get turned into the undead? If you need to know the answer read this book now!

I am reviewing the whole of the Shadowlands Sector series as a whole as I basically read all of them at once.
Omegaverse is kind of a comfort subgenre I go to read when I feel like I need something soft to mentally calm down and I actually really loved this series. It had exactly what I needed and I think that the three books were paced out well and ended in the right places.
Meira was a great main character, it was great to see her develop throughout the series but still remain as fiercely dependent as she was at the beginning of the first book. In Omegaverse especially, the fmc can often lose the essence of who she is after meeting her love interest(s), but it definitely wasn’t the case with this series.
It was really interesting to read Omegaverse and zombies placed together. I haven’t really seen that being done before (it probably has, and I just haven’t heard of it) but nevertheless, it was cool to see how Mila did it! I personally am not usually a fan of zombie apocalypse books, but I was able to still look past that and really enjoy Mila’s story.
All of Meira’s boys are easy to fall in love with — I certainly adored all of them, although I’m not going to share the names of them or how many as this review is being posted on all three of the books, but they were great! I would say at some points they probably appeared a little weaker than they should have, especially at some points towards the end of the trilogy? But other than that, they all had different things to love about them and it was great.
I would definitely recommend giving this series a read if you’re into Omegaverse! Although there were a few typos throughout the trilogy, it was well written and one I think anyone who is a fan of spicy reverse harem would enjoy.

Well folks, we're finally at the end. To say I read this quickly would be an understand - I read all three books in the span of two days. To be transparent, I usually take a day or two to finish these types of books in general so not too much faster, but faster none the less.
Do I regret reading them? Absolutely not. Would I recommend them? Maybe, depends on the reader. Did they give everything they promised? Sort of.
Spoilers ahead so proceed with caution (or if you need spoilers to soothe your anxiety, read away):
My main thought about this final installment is that it had the makings to be really juicy, and it does deliver in a lot of ways. My suspicion is that Mila may have rushed through writing this, and that would explain the ways it fell short. But, let's start with the positives:
Thinking back to how Miera started I can honestly say that she went through a great transformation, which was both gradual and believable. Somewhere between her running to keep her alphas safe to finding them again, she somehow falls head over heels for them and that leap wasn't really built up well and I bumped up against that a lot - especially because she constantly tells us just how much they mean to her. Which I understand as this is a romance but it gets a bit repetitive.
The love story is pretty much the group trying to save and get back to one another. They pretty much hit obstacle after obstacle, one too many if I'm being honest. I don't think the actual problem was that there were too many obstacles, but rather it was a problem with pacing. Each obstacle is treated with the same urgency so they all blend into one level of suspense throughout, which you eventually get used to and it gets to the point where the urgency is basically gone. Its a bit disappointing because by the time you get to the final showdown with Mac, you're just reading to finish it and it doesn't feel like "oh my gosh everything has built up to this", or like you're biting your nails to see what happens. I can't tell if that's because the plot was planned out and there was a rush to kind of spit it out on the page, or somewhere in the editing stage all the ups and downs were just smoothed out to one level, but it does take away from the experience.
But, Meira overall is a strong character who takes up space and is in no way a damsel in distress. Her big bad this book was conquering her fears, and that story is done pretty well. Its finale comes with her relationship with her wolf which was also a bit of a letdown. She changes less than five times in the totality of the book, and her and her wolf never really get on the same page, even after she surrenders. I wish we were able to see the first time she actually lets the reigns go and then her wolf doesn't give the reigns back. That would have been a really interesting character moment and it would have added significance and depth to the moment where she does finally give her wolf full reign to take down Mac. I would have either liked to see that happen sooner, or had a section in the epilogue about it. I also don't love epilogues that are so soon after the ending because what did we really get out of that epilogue? Or at least give us two so we can see how they end up.
Dusan and Bardhyl were good, and it was great to see Dusan's devotion to Meira. For Bardhyl I wish we could have actually gotten his backstory, like Meira hearing it from him and that experience. I felt like a loose thread, even with the moment with the Northern wolves. Actually now that I think about it - that could have been a cool epilogue. Also, it would have been nice to Dusan's ending to have been more impactful as opposed to him pretty much passing out. He wasn't very impactful this book. But both of those pale in comparison to Lucien, who seemed to have two personalities this book. There's these moments where he's commenting on Bardhyl's package, and there were just lines that seemed out of character for the Lucien I spent two books reading. It took me out of the experience a bit.
So overall I'd say the ending was fine in that on a plot point and character development perspective they did everything they were supposed to do. But somehow it didn't feel fulfilling because it just felt like a rushed work (made worse by the build up of the prior two books). Either this could have really an editor, or it could have used an editor that specializes in reverse harem/shifter stories. Everything from the bigger moments I listed above to smaller details like you shouldn't put an exclamation mark at the end of a character's sentence if you describe it as being mumbled. Or say that a character is "literally" shifting. Yes, that's how movement works but it's not a great use of the word "literally".
I'm glad I read it, probably won't read it again, and it gave about 75% of what I was hoping for. But, its a decent reverse harem that has a strong female protagonist, strong but gentle alphas, and decent smut (best of which actually happens in book two). Plus there was good relationship building which isn't always guaranteed with this genre. All that said - three stars.

Dusan and Bardhyl were good, and it was great to see Dusan's devotion to Meira. For Bardhyl I wish we could have actually gotten his backstory, like Meira hearing it from him and that experience. I felt like a loose thread, even with the moment with the Northern wolves. Actually now that I think about it - that could have been a cool epilogue. Also, it would have been nice to Dusan's ending to have been more impactful as opposed to him pretty much passing out. He wasn't very impactful this book. But both of those pale in comparison to Lucien, who seemed to have two personalities this book. There's these moments where he's commenting on Bardhyl's package, and there were just lines that seemed out of character for the Lucien I spent two books reading. It took me out of the experience a bit.
So overall I'd say the ending was fine in that on a plot point and character development perspective they did everything they were supposed to do. But somehow it didn't feel fulfilling because it just felt like a rushed work (made worse by the build up of the prior two books). Either this could have really an editor, or it could have used an editor that specializes in reverse harem/shifter stories. Everything from the bigger moments I listed above to smaller details like you shouldn't put an exclamation mark at the end of a character's sentence if you describe it as being mumbled. Or say that a character is "literally" shifting. Yes, that's how movement works but it's not a great use of the word "literally".
I'm glad I read it, probably won't read it again, and it gave about 75% of what I was hoping for. But, its a decent reverse harem that has a strong female protagonist, strong but gentle alphas, and decent smut (best of which actually happens in book two). Plus there was good relationship building which isn't always guaranteed with this genre. All that said - three stars.

The end
Last book in this series but there is another thats linked to this with the huge white wolves that helped and find out where jae went the leading lady is her sister it's another RH.
I'm not a fan of RH started book one of the sector series by mistake (as there is no warning plus only one guy with her on front cover of other series) I am a romantic I like the one and only, plus I find the storyline to be to much about sex (or rutting even more romantic a ) that is the case with all RH.that aside I like her style of writing and twists and mystery I have read The other series so six books later I have been in her make believe world (Read back to back) it was interesting not original but not common (I read allot) I loved the fight the good fight theme the other series is still running waiting on book 4 so hopefully she will turn up there, this does end on a HEA.But zombies and bad alphas are still at large.So in truth it was about in house really and claiming there mate.

I had to finish all three books because I'm not a quitter but....
First off, these are not three separate books, no where do you find a cliffhangers. They literally are the end of a chapter then a different book. It's almost the author was like, "ok I'm done writing for today let's publish this" These three books are one book that was broken up into pieces and parts.
There are also so many weird things in the book. Like Jae, her sisters and the Denmark Alphas. Why were they needed here. They didn't add anything to the book.
I also read Ander Cain and Kat's story before this one and they have a more normal Alpha/Omega relationship even with the reverse harem aspect of the books. She doesn't go into heat/ estrous, no significant slick, standing heat, no submission that you normally see in omegaverse. It's almost like the author thought "hey I wanna write a reverse harem with shifters..."
I do not recommend these three books. I do on the other hand recommend Ander Cain and Kat's story.

Didnt need to be 3 books! I did enjoy the story and it kept me entertained enough. Some parts of the book were not very well written and rushed , and in places we could have done with more detail and probably another couple of hundred pages. And once I needed to re read a chapter because I was missing an entire day (it just wasn't there). However I needed an easy read that wasn't too heavy and the series was a good palette cleanser. Multiple fated mates, a most of the time damaged strong special FMC , multiple ### scenes (not that steamy IMO though), zombies , wolves, will kill to protect her.
Will I read other books from this author? Yes, Probably lost wolf.
Was it life changing or throw the book because I'm that emotionally distraught it ended ? No.
Will I re read ? No
Will I buy a paperback for the trophy self ? No
But it helped with the emotional slump between books when I can't face my TBR pile.

Not my usual book in the terms of the dystopian brutal world, but RH is my thing so gave it a go. So GLAD I did, really intense situation with a MFC who is a ghost for a lot of her life and has to navigate so many new situations that cause anxiety ad fear but she grows each and every chapter.
In this third book the four of them are regrouped together for most of it and attempting to not only survive but retake the Ash Wolves tribe. It is tense, with steamy scenes that break up the terror and action. Not sure if it is a HEA, or a HFN... as they seem to come through it all, yet the danger of the Northern wolves is still present even at the end.
The names of the guys are similar - so if you listen on Audible as I did - it's tricky at some parts to ascertain who is who. However, they do not all just instantly fall for her and it takes some time to see the truth before they are consistently tested and challenged throughout the series.

Excellent conclusion to the Shadowlands Sector trilogy; I was totally entertained. Meira and her hotty Alphas were absolutely amazing; I really enjoyed the dynamics of their relationship. The connection between them is strong, and the chemistry is off-the-charts. When her mates' lives are threatened, Meira is faced with a choice that would save their lives, but the price might be too high. The story was definitely enjoyable, steamy, suspenseful, and exciting with unexpected twists and turns; I was engrossed the entire time. The ending was great and gratifying.
Excellent narration by Krys Janae; she portrayed the characters' personalities, emotions, and connections very nicely. She breathed life into Young's words and made the story more enjoyable. Overall the third book was so worth the listen, one I'm recommending.

It did get better..ish.
This book took me longer than I would have liked to finish and I almost did not finish at 78% but figured I would push myself to finish.
The build up to the initial part was okay. The chemistry seemed to be better between all 4 characters in this one, maybe because they were all together through most of it.
I did like the POV from all 4 characters throughout, that was a plus.
I was hoping Meira would grow on me more and while she did she still got under my skin and I think this is why I just could not get into this series. I'm not one for the whiny, woe is me FMC in books. She almost redeemed herself towards the end but that died quickly.
Overall this series while short and even though I didn't like the FMC it was okay. Storyline was good and the overall feel was okay.
The presence of Jae and the wolfs with her have me questioning if I want to jump into another shifter series...

We have a Winner🏅
The conclusion to the Shadowlands Sector is here and it’s a winner😍 I don’t want to spoil it for anyone by saying too much but I can readily attest to feeling a rainbow of emotions in this one, from sweet romance to frustration, to fury, to laughing at times (in humorous moments) because these characters are just so amazing and Mila really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat😜
This book also introduces a new sector to us and I can’t wait to learn more about them❣️I received an advanced copy and I voluntarily leave my honest review - and if you haven’t already started this series I would highly recommend as nothing is as it seems and everything is about to explode on more than one level❤️

Book 3 and final book in the series.
We pick right up where book 2 ended. Everything has gone to crap. The three Alphas are out and Meira has just been forced into her 1st change and has to face off against Mad and his men. This is not a story where you get to ride off into the sunset. Only the brave who act in the face of fear will have a chance at coming out with a happy ending. Nothing had come easy to Meira or her men in the first two stories, so why change now?
I loved the feelings that come out in this story. My heart was almost ripped out at one point. The ending was earned and so worth it.
We get a great into to the huge alphas of the north - savage sector. Can't wait to see their story. I hope we get to see Meira and her Alphas again.

Last book of this series, and it starts after the cliffhanger. Finally, Meira has her first change into her wolf. But, of course, it doesn't go smooth at all.

A great end to this trilogy!
All of these books were pretty short and quick to read. Books 1 and 2 end on cliffhangers but it’s a finished trilogy all on KU!
I was really excited to get to book 3 after that last cliffhanger and luckily it picked up right where it left off.
I was ready for the final battle to happen with Mad - he was really starting to piss me off and I wanted him gone! And the other storyline with Meira being immune to the zombies, you get answers there as well.
If you like alpha male shifters, RH romance, and stories of finding yourself, you’ll like this trilogy! Add in a splash of zombies, and this story has originality and I enjoyed every moment. Thanks Mila!
