Greenstone Security #5

Resonance of Stars

Rate this book
I was a movie star.
I'd let the world convince me I was nothing more than that.
Until him...

Duke is employed to protect me. To make me disappear before I testify. Nothing more.

There aren't many places in the world that someone like me can disappear to. Not when billions of people know my name. I'd worked hard to make it that way. To hide underneath layers of fame, beauty and wealth.

A ranch in Montana offers escape. Safety. But those Montana skies don't let me hide. Not from myself.

Not from the truth.

I'm no longer a movie star.
I'm a witness. I'm a job. I'm a woman slowly falling in love with a man that despises me.

He's tasked to protect my life, instead he ruins my soul.

I finished this one in the early hours of the morning and then woke up thinking about the characters.

This is Anne at her best. I couldn’t stop reading. Sleep was irrelevant. It gave me the very best combination of her gritty & emotional storytelling coupled with her witty, slightly sarcastic vibe.

I adored the heroine and all her prickly packaging that hides unlimited kindness. And as for the hero, well he’s going on my arm with my other book husbands.

I bawled. More than once. I laughed so hard I snorted. And the ending gave me the giddy heart eyes that great romance books make me feel.

It’s the kind of story that makes you wish these people were real so you could share a long lazy dinner party under the Montana stars.

Ok.. definitely not a doormat and not a shy little nun, the woman had sexual experience but of course same old, same old with how many didn’t pleasured her well enough like the hero could or by her own hands or BOB but I still didn’t like her attitude towards other people. She acted superior, better than anyone. Talked about OW’s looks when she was fake asf. She had blow job lips (hero’s words, not mine. He literally said that about her lips.) fake breasts and fake tan and I’m assuming she had her lips done since she changed her image for the movies. Lady you really have no room to talk about someone’s looks especially when you called yourself fake and looked fake. Not that I’m shaming anyone if they had some work done on themselves, you do you but please don’t put someone down because of their looks. she was a bitch and she owned it.

I loved Harriet (his grandma) she was funny. Loved his parents I kept thinking if he was adopted because his dad and mom were nothing like him. I also liked his brother. I did not like his wife, she left him and kept her pregnancy hidden from him and he just accepted her back like nothing had happened. I get they had their problems in their marriage but I were a man I would’ve been pissed if my wife doesn’t tell me that she’s pregnant with my baby and comes back hours from giving birth and there’s no consequences like he accepted her back without getting mad.

Hero didn’t like the heroine since they first met but that still stop him from lusting after her and fucking OW.. good thing she wasn’t celibate while she was also lusting after him.

One thing I’ll say this author loves her designer labels and money. In every book I’ve read of hers she likes to list them at every chance she gets this gets really old real fast. 🙄

Safety: both not celibate after their meeting. She had a lover (who gave great head, again her words-not mine 🤣) that was murdered, it was the reason hero took the job on protecting her. he was an asshole until he takes her to hide in his parents ranch and she became the good, nice girl that she was hiding in. 🙄 Hero was the typical alpha-hole in books, the one that gives orders and his words needs to be follow. The no strings attached arrangement kind a guy who liked to fuck women that are good in bed and know the score. (my kind of guy.. 😑) btw there’s no detail sex scenes with anyone but themselves.

Edited: she also made porn movies before making it. This did not bother the hero since she needed money to support herself.

Anyway clicking 3 stars because she wasn’t a doormat and because I loved his grandma. But it’s more 2.5 stars.

Even though I haven't read the first 4 books in the series, I didn't have a hard time getting through the book.

This was a very emotional book of our heroine finding her true self and finally opening up about her past and who she really is. Duke was the perfect alpha hero to guide her through this journey.

Awesome secondary characters of Harriet stealing the show!

I used to love this author but have found her recent work a bit wash, rinse, repeat as all her Heroes have a dark past that makes them too dark etc etc
This book was a bit different.
The heroine is famous and is dislikeable.
It's a front she puts on to protect herself.
The Hero and heroine are a bit enemies to lovers story.
Bit slow burn.
It's well written.
Sparked my interest at times.
Bit OTT Alpha behaviour, with conversation that noone understands.
It's okay.
Scenes with the author's MC series.
HEA.
Epilogue.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Both have a history of hookups with no feelings.
At the start to the story the heroine witnesses a murder of her latest hookup, she has just arrived as the murder takes place.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I had the honour of reading an ARC of this beauty. I had no idea what it was about besides who the hero was, because it when it comes to Anne Malcom’s books, I’ve learnt that going in blind enhances the reading the experience. I had the utmost faith in her writing and knew without a doubt that she wouldn’t disappoint. I have been heavily invested in these Greenstone Security men right from the very beginning and I couldn’t wait to see how Duke’s story would pan out.

I picked it up this morning and I didn’t leave my bed until there were no more pages to be read. I was properly overwhelmed by this book. By the emotions I had absolutely no business feeling, by the testosterone that seemed to ooze out of this books pages, by the amount of alpha hot-holes we see in the span of this book. I was overwhelmed by the array of fierce and sassy women, the friendship, the girl power, the support and seeing Queens supporting Queens! I was doubly overwhelmed by seeing all of our favourite characters back together in one book again. From the Sons of Templar hotheads, to Killian from the Unquiet Mind series and of course, the rest of the Greenstone Security hotties. I felt like I was going to explode with serotonin! My heart fluttered relentlessly, my soul feeling lighter than it’s ever been in a while, this book was a beautiful testament to this author’s knack for words and her talent for making readers fall in love every single time.

Resonance of Stars was definitely a feel good love story that absolutely tore me apart. It has a small town/ranch family aspect to it and it made the feelings that much stronger. Also, Anne Malcom let us relive all our best cowboy/ranch hand fantasies and I cannot thank her enough for it. Watching the complete transformation that overcame Anastasia when she got to the ranch was moving. All her walls just crumbled and it was like watching a butterfly coming out of her cocoon, watching her come to life was the best thing. The peace that resonated within her, I had tears in my eyes. Watching her struggle internally over who she was as a person and fighting her attraction for Duke, my heart cried for her. Duke is in every way a ‘macho-man’, the best kind of alpha, and the possessive affection he showed made my spine tingle and made my heart flutter. The thing I love about this author’s books is that when she’s giving us these alpha hot-holes, the way she writes the words automatically has me picturing myself as the heroine, picturing Duke saying everything to me and I just about had a heart attack right then and there.

I am absolutely obsessed with this book, this author, this series and every single character in between. It was so bittersweet when I finished because I missed them almost immediately and I had this strong urge to go back and read every single book all over again. We’ve gotten bad ass bikers, sexy rockstars, dangerous security guys and now we’ve got ourselves some cowboys! Thank you, Anne for giving us Duke’s story and giving us another badass heroine we never knew we needed.

This book is one of my TOP FAV surprises of 2020! I went in blind and hung on for the ride with a sassy heroine and broody-as-hell alpha hero. This book takes you from the glitz of LA/Hollywood to a charming Montana family ranch and back. There is non-stop action, suspense, banter, unique secondary characters and many cameos from prior books in this series and the Sons of Templar MC series!!! And the chemistry between the hero and heroine is OFF THE CHARTS!!! I loved every second of it.

The dynamic between Duke, the broody alpha security bodyguard, and Anastasia, the sassy Hollywood A-lister, is fun, flirty, feisty and passionate. I laughed and cried with these two. Their banter is as good as it gets, and when they both let their vulnerabilities show, the passion between them will leave you sighing and swooning. Duke is ALL MAN and I fell hard for this cowboy!!!

This book ties in enemies-to-lovers, along with some suspense and MC romance that will leave you addicted to the pages. I did NOT want this story to end and can't wait for more from these characters. Well done once again A Malcom!!!

The Greenstone Security series happens to be my favorite series by this author, two of the books are actually in my top 3. And once again in Resonance of Stars, it is another winner. The heroine, Anastasia Edwards, has risen from poverty and heartbreak and has become one of the top well known actresses of their time. But it has come with a price, she has learned to protect herself by keeping people at a distance. She purposely portrays herself as a diva and difficult to work with. Even though this is not the way she wants to be seen, this was the way she had survived. One of the casualties of her b*tchiness persona is the Greenstone Security team. They were once hired by Anastasia and she gave them the full blown treatment. So when she is once again in need of their assistance, tensions are already high. But this time, Anastasia will need to be protected at all costs. She finds herself in a situation where she will need to be completely taken out of the Hollywood spotlight. The man who is tasked to protect her is none other than Duke Hammond, the one man she could not forget and the one that displayed his disdain for her the most.

Duke Hammond has dealt with more difficult people in his jobs, but something about Anastasia rubbed him the wrong way. He felt too much with her around, the effect she had over him irritated him and caused him to hate her all the more. But he had a job to do and he was not going to let the ice queen deter him from his job. And do to it right, the only place he knew he could protect her was his family ranch in Montana.

Right from the first glance of Duke’s family home, Anastasia’s armor started to crack. Then with the power of a loving family and the serenity of the Montana landscape, Anastasia’s true self slowly emerges and Duke finally sees the person behind the mask.

Duke and Anastasia’s story was so beautifully written, once Duke saw the true Ana he was quick to claim her as his. Steam level was not as high as her other books and more of a slow burn, but it did not matter, the connection and extreme chemistry between these two were felt.

The nail biting suspense and drama was equally intense, especially when a call out to a particular character is made. All of the secondary characters were fantastic, I especially loved Grandma Harriet, I want to be just like her.

I absolutely loved everything about this book and I highly recommend it. This was another 5 star read.

***5 Stars***

This baby pushed all of my book loving buttons! The feels were real, the smexy was hot and the characters were all kinds of fun to hang out with and had me pouting just a tinsy bit when there were no more words to read.

Duke. As much as I loved and adored the man, and I did because he is, at his very core a good man, I also wanted to Gibbs smack him because the man knows how to hold a grudge...but then again the object of his desire didn’t make it easy for him in any way. She absolutely fascinated me. I won’t say that I immediately fell in love with her, but I definitely wanted to see inside her head and get to know who she really was and when those sky high, kevlar covered walls started to crumble...well, she was kind of everything.

So to say that their journey to their HEA was all kinds of push/pull angsty goodness, is an understatement, and they both gave as good as they got. I can’t say that I totally favored one over the other, because things...but I loved how they finally got to the point where they finally saw who the other was and found that they kinda sorta really liked what they saw.

This was a fun read. It had the feels and the angst and those moments that make your gut clench, but it was fun. Duke and his lady kept me on my toes, but I gotta admit that the secondary characters ~ some who are quite beloved already, and some new ones who I have a total crush on ~ kicked my enjoyment of this book up a notch in all kinds of ways.

As for if this is a stand-alone? I’ll be honest and admit that I am still making my way through both the Sons of Templar series as well as Greenstone (I know, I know) so I can say that you can dive in here BUT it will be a lot more fun if you dive into at least a couple of the books in either series before doing it.

This book surprised me in the very best way.
Don't get me wrong I LOVE every book that I read by this author but the heroine irked me a lot until she dropped her facade and allowed her true self to shine like the stars of the Montana skies.

So although I struggled to connect with her until about 4o%, every aspect of this book was critical to the growth of her and boy did I love her after that. Duke was his usual self, and was nice to see more of him as now he's definitely unforgettable.

Some much loved characters from previous books make their presence known throughout, one in particular is her usual take no prisoners self.

Like all her books this author sends you spiraling on a rollercoaster of emotions, so hold on tightly to your margarita as this (as usual) is one journey of self discovery you won't forget.

This was my first Anne Malcom book. I plan on trying some more of her books. I like her writing. The story was a bit predictable but I liked the relationship between the two main characters. I loved how this book was compared to Rip and Beth's relationship on Yellowstone. The ranch setting was amazing. It felt like you were there!

I really liked the plot and the chemistry between the FMC and the MMC up until they first slept together. After that I almost DNF'd the book. First of all, all the spice was fade to black. Second, I read the book without reading the prior Greenstone Security books (mainly because I do not love interconnected series when it comes to romance books), so the characters introduced at the end were too much. After the couple slept together, the book fell flat for me, especially at the end where the other Greenstone Security women were introduced after the FMC fled to California. The end felt very #GirlBoss and I hated it. It was like the author was trying to push back on women relying on men in romance books, but instead of writing her characters to depict this, there was a lot of inner dialogue about being a feminist (which everyone in the book claimed to be several times, but it felt like when people are like "I'm a (insert any pro-equality term)" but then don't act in accordance with what they claim they are). It was very cringey and felt forced. I gave the book two stars because the tension in the beginning and the MMC's Grandma.

2,5*

LIKED:
- Heroine is a bitch. It is a ''mask'' she puts, so she could protect herself, but still she can be coldhearted bitch. She is also quite rude. I liked that, it was interesting to read about heroine that is not always nice and kind, who is good to everyone and is a doormat.
- Hero's family- I loved how they accepted the heroine right away, and how they loved the hero

DISLIKED:
- how many times the fraze ''macho- man'' was used. I get it, the hero is a macho man, but I didn't need to be reminded so many times.
- Grandma- for some reason she was annoying to me, don't know why, but I just didn't like her.
- Heroine in the last third of the book- She acted stupid.
- Hero- Not really a fan of him at all, again, I don't know why, just didn't like him.

Resonance of Stars by Anne Malcom, is Book Five in the GreenStone Security Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although I do recommend if you haven’t yet ventured into this series then you start from the beginning.

With any Anne Malcom book that I go into, I always go in blind as I know that she is going to deliver an epic story that will be a page turner, and unpredictable.

With saying that, this book was beyond anything I could have expected. I was shocked with how much this book had grasped me by the emotional heartstrings and pulled me along the ride. Let me tell you, you will be taken on a ride, one you won’t expect and one you will enjoy immensely.

I loved being back in this world, especially with this being Duke Book. From the moment I met him in the previous books, I was completely captivated by him and wanted to know more. As this is his book, I loved watching his story unfold and we got that chance to find out everything there is about him that we didn’t already know before.

This book is everything! It has your light, fun, grit, and everything else wired in to fill the cracks. It was hands down a masterpiece of epic proportions. Although I will say that there was one thing I loved the most in this book and it was the small town/family vibe that was happening. It just fit and connected everything into one. It made an already perfect book into something spectacular.

I’ve said it and I will say it again and again. This book is just hands down epic, this has to be one of your best greenstone books in my eyes, there’s just something about this book that shines a little bit more then the other books.

I just love how this book isn’t focusing on necessary drama besides what’s going in these two characters life’s separately and together. One thing I love about Anne, is that she mentions real life issues, situations and feelings that occur in both women’s and males every day life.

Lots of people will have a love hate relationship with this heroine as she can come across as a right on BITCH. But just know when you get to know her, all is not what it seems. The whole bitch facade is her coping mechanism, a barrier that takes over her whole body to block any hurt, pain that may come back at her as she has had enough of it to last her a life time.

This book was about allowing yourself to be free and own who you are, don’t hide yourself away, let yourself be there in the moment. Eat what you want, laugh when you want, talk when you want, fall in love with who you want. It all came down to a journey of self discovery that you couldn’t help but want to watch happen.

Duke and Anastasia are a legit match made in heaven. The sexual tension and their chemistry could be cut with a knife with how much it is oozing in the room. Every time they were in the room together, I couldn’t help but have a smile on my face as I would watch their interactions. They simply have become one of my favourites couples.

It wouldn’t be a greenstone book without seeing the Sons of Templar and the Unquiet Minds gang, joining forces. It was amazing to catch up with them and see what shenanigans they get up to, makes you want to go and re read their books again.

Thank you Anne for giving us Duke Story, it’s one I would read over and over again. Definitely go and check out this book.

I’m FEELING the Resonance of those Stars🤩

Wow, the ending to this book has left me with literal goosebumps all over😱 Duke and Annastacia’s story will wow you, will give you all the feels and will certainly have you clamouring for more❣️Anne spins a story that is one for the ages and will resonate with you for ages😁

A movie star witnesses a murder and is put under the protection of Greenstone Security expert Duke. He takes her to the last place she ever expects and slowly knocks down each and every wall of resistance she’s built😍 I’m not sure if this is the last book in the series, I certainly hope not.....but if it is I’m hoping for a second gen😜

I received an advanced copy and I voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

4,5/5 Stars ! One of Anne’s lighter books, I really liked the setting and the plot and the dynamics between the two of them. I also liked the feminist POVs of violence and female strengths that were pushed by Anastasia and Rosie. The ending felt a bit rushed though and Duke lost a little bit of his character over the course of the book as his over-protectiveness became his only trait later on, even though he had a lot of depth in the beginning.

Not even a horrible, two day long headache had stopped me absolutely devouring this book. The gorgeous cover sucked me in and then Anastasia and Duke's story wouldn't let me go until I was done. It's one of those books that you finish and immediately wish you hadn't read just so you could start all over again. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

I was excited to read this and I really enjoyed it for the first half. Unfortunately, after the 50% mark I felt it missing the mark for me completely.

I loved the main character Anastasia. She was a badass, cold hearted woman that did what she had to do to get on top even if it meant becoming a bitch to the world. I also loved that under the facade, she genuinely did care and love and feel!

I loved reading about her mask slipping as she spent more time on the farm; however, I felt that her shield basically completely disappeared. There were mentions but it’s like this other half albeit fake side of her was gone. And it feels like there could’ve been SO MUCH more to talk about revolving why her mask disappeared more deeply than like Harriet giving her a margarita you know?

This was my first Anne Malcolm book but I feel confident enough that I could describe the plot of every other books she’s written because of how she’s written the couple here and mentioned all the other couples from her other series.

Going on from that, what really ultimately made me dislike the book overall is it’s take on feminism. It felt so surface-level. I understand that not every take on feminism has to be incredibly nuanced with every single woman’s perspective but this take felt so male-centric if that makes sense.

There were so many mentions of these women from previous books but it’s like all of their happy endings were of them becoming wives to alpha men and mothers to 2.5 children and living in a two story house. I would’ve liked to see more diversity in happily ever after’s because not every couple will be “finished off” with children.

Leading from that, the relationship of Maggie and Tanner left a sour taste on my tongue. She leaves him afters he’s distanced himself from her due to infertility problems but suddenly she’s back 9 months pregnant asking if “he’ll be mad at her?” WHAT?!?! That’s so bizarre to me!! And I’m not dissing on Maggie because I support her (decision up until she comes back) but I know damn well Tanner (no matter how bad he feels) doesn’t deserve that YET. I needed to see him grovel at her feet.

Going back to feminism, so many if not all of these women mention feminism like multiple times yet their lives aren’t really complete until the label of wife and mother are upon them. It’s so apparent in Anastasia like she was miserable as a star but then she finds this man who conveniently gives her a loving family and ultimately is a gateway to her meeting her only friends ever (the feminist squad…) it just feels peculiar to me.

Taking a break from all that, one other critique I had was that the author would start chapters by speaking about the present event happening but then would go on a tangent about everything that happened leading up to that moment and it was so drawn out that I felt that the author lost the point of the chapter with ultimately made me feel lost until the present would whip back out and I’d have to quickly reassemble the timeline in my head. That’s lowkey just a critique on my part and wasn’t really the cause of my 3 stars.

I feel like I’m so critical on the feminism aspect of the story but I feel it’s important because any discussion of topics such as this can easily sway readers opinions on how they feel and act and I don’t think this necessarily portrayed feminism negatively but it certainly doesn’t feel good because as I said before it felt so one-way feminism. Like there was a specific formula to being a feminist; woman is in a traumatic situation, she’s saved by the alpha! Man!, he probably gets pissed of at her and she feels it’s her fault, they get married and she’s pregnant! And it’s not like that!!! Not for everyone and not always!

Now, I really did like the concept and I loved the beginning and I ADORED Harriet and Anastasia’s characters but it fell short for me unfortunately.

I don’t ever want to diss authors though because to write for readers and give them stories to read is amazing and commendable and so brave but it’s important that when books do mention these serious topics such as feminism that they are done as best as they can be. And this wasn’t bad in the slightest but it wasn’t the best and that’s basically why it fell short for me :(

If there was a special award for writing the swooniest alpha hero in romance, Anne Malcom would win it every single time. Along with her perfectly imperfect heroines.Resonance of Stars was a masterpiece made of all the angsty emotions, sizzling chemistry and jaw dropping storyline. And the sharp, poetic and heartaching writing of Anne Malcom that never ever fails to own my heart and soul.

Duke Hammonds has seen a lot in life. During war. During his time at Greenstone Security. He thought he can judge people. And he considered Hollywood heart throb Anastasia Edwards to be a total bitch. An ice queen. So he wasn't exactly thrilled to be given the task of keeping her alive after she becomes the key witness in a high profile murder case. But she isn't exactly what she shows. And she wants to show Duke exactly what kind of woman she is. Against her life long ways of pushing people away.

Anne Malcom has some serious voodoo going on in Resonance of Stars. Because Duke Hammonds is my ultimate alpha hero unicorn. Hard, ragged, edgy, dangerous and lethal when it comes to protecting his woman and doing his job. And that unmistakable softness takes over him everytime he shows affection. That is so beautifully contrasting and Anne Malcom brought it alive so that I could feel it right inside my heart. He is controlling, dominating, infuriating and just so deliciously alpha. And to match him, we have this sweet and fierce heroine. Anastasia has struggled hard, played by the dirty rules and pushed the limits everyday to become this superstar. She has left behind early life of poverty and trauma. It has made her strong and brought her enemies. So with all her money and fame, she is trapped in this lonely existence. And the time with Duke's affectionate and accepting family, even under false pretences, under the starry sky of Montana, forced her to discard her armour and bring the real Ana out. She has forgotten to trust and to be loved unconditionally. But Duke and his family soothed her jagged edges and brought out this happier and more wholesome version of Anastasia. And that transformation was tragically brilliant.

You can expect some truly badass twists and turns in this story. The thriller part was equally well executed with help of a star studded casting of secondary characters from her previous books. This story is all about slow burn. You can expect to die from the sexual and emotional tension between Dean and Anastasia! And it's not even about sex. It's about the hearts opening, breaking and healing. Both of them have demons and scars. So they share this intimate and electrifying connection. That just gave me goosebumps and shivers. I felt like a pervert in some scenes because Anne Malcom dragged me right middle of those charged moments. Ethereal, heartbreaking and inspiring moments.

Anne Malcom always brings an exciting and epic mix of sexy, suspenseful and all kinds feels in her stories. Resonance of Stars was no exception. Alpha hero with a golden heart. Strong heroines. And their unforgettable and sensational journey to happily ever after. Resonance of Stars is your next unputdownable read!

Wow! I needed to sit back for a bit before writing my review, as I often do with this author’s marvellous books. This is not just a story being told, it is a deep heartfelt tale that explores many issues including the hard emotional ones. In saying that, it also balances things with some great light moments including some tongue in cheek, throw-away thoughts. Special mention must go to Harriet, Duke’s grandmother. She is one cool, fun and astute character, and like Anastasia, I want to be her when I grow up, too

Anastasia Edwards is one super movie star diva with a tongue like a viper when needed, she put B in the the b word for sure but then again that’s just one side. We all do things to survive and honestly I can’t say this was a great way but I can say I totally understand it. My heart went out to Anastasia quite early in the book actually and she didn’t disappoint me along the way.

Duke is the man! I thought about leaving it at that because it certainly sums him up 😆 but yeah, no! He has so much going for him, yet as we’ve seen in the past, he isn’t exactly your warm fuzzy teddy bear either. I like how he sees people quite quickly, the real them, seeing through the facades they build up. Getting to know him with his family is even hotter too! 🔥

Together, whether intimate or not, these two lead characters have a deep connection and show each other the care they offer, as well as respect. With their pasts haunting them it’s not necessarily a smooth road, but then again, anything worthwhile you need to work hard to get, right?

There is plenty of drama with some exciting action thrown in to entertain and boy does this book do that! I love how we get to meet up with so many past characters too. Once again this author has proven how brilliant she is at creating the perfect story.

I'm in complete awe of this story! Anne Malcom blends the classic way she wrote during the beginning of her career with this raw, intensity of her current skills. No matter the prowess she uses, her writing is always magical. Yet somehow, Resonance of Stars is more. Malcom always (and I mean, ALWAYS) delivers on heat and fun, attitude and explosive chemistry. Anne pumped in nearly all my favorite elements of romance... enemies-to-lovers, covered in suspense, sprinkled with a MC (SWOON), and seasoned with Greenstone Security. I mean, how can you get any better than that?!?

Ohhhh... how about we bring the famous Hollywood actress to small town Montana!! Yes, please! Anastasia removes all the glitz and glamor of being a movie star to hide out for a while. It's so fun to see this city girl go country. Duke and Anastasia break down all those walls and are left with a real, vulnerable Anastasia. Duke wants nothing more than to protect her, to keep her safe... ok, there might be something he wants just as much. He wants her. Lord, did I love them together. The battle of their strength. The way the fought and eventually worked together to be stronger. I love the way the women rise the other women up. It warms my heart to see women strengthening other women.

Anne Malcom brings it all in Resonance of Stars. Another hit from the Queen!!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

This was my first time reading something from this author but it won't be the last for sure 👀

After binging "Yellowstone" I've been in a mood for some cowboys books BUT with a female character kind of like Beth (my queen) so when I found out about this book I was so excited to read it. And omfg what a crazy ride this was!

Anastasia was exactly the kind of female character that I wanted to read about: strong and fierce, such a bad ass with a (hidden) golden heart. And I simple loved how human she was because that made really easy to connect with her.
And there's Duke. . . omfg he was THE man! Duke was everything that I love in a male character: hot, alpha and so freaking sweet.
These two together were a freaking roller coaster of emotions and I enjoyed every moment. The way they tried to hate each other and ignore their feelings got me so hot and bothered 😏 and their cute scenes made me giggling like a crazy person. And don't get me started on how hot they were together 🥵🥵

And if the main characters were good then the secondary characters were also amazing. Grandma Harriet was a freaking queen and she was so funny 😂, Tanner and Maggie were perfect 🥲 and don't get me started on Rosie and her all damn biker family 🥹

This book was really a great surprise with amazing characters and a good plot that made me entertained and so curious to read more and more.

I really enjoyed Anne's writing and I'll for sure be reading more of her books soon!

5 WICKED COOL ⭐'s!!

Resonance of Stars is one of my favourite books for 2020! Not as dark as the last few books in the Greenstone Security series, while maintaining the beauty and depth Anne Malcom is known for, this book sucked me in and captured my soul within minutes.

Duke and Anastasia together are powerful, even their arguments are sexy, and reading as they tried to push each other over the edge, time and again, made me HOT!!

Anastasia is the perfect heroine I love to hate, until you see that she is always playing the best character she's ever created -- herself! Once she found herself at home where no one expected the Diva, that character fell away and in its place was a young woman even Anastasia didn't know quite how to deal with.

Duke is at his grouchy, growly best in this book! Super alpha swooniness as a member of Greenstone's security team, Duke's hotness is ratcheted up about 5 notches when we learn he's also a cowboy! He is bound and determined to spend the next 3 months ignoring Anastasia, and all the feelings she is dredging up, but lord the woman keeps throwing sexiness in his face and he can't ignore that forever.

I adored the snippets we got of SoT, and Unquiet Minds members, and Rosie was invariably a rollercoaster ride of both fun and fear. Don't let this review fool you, there's enough action to keep your heart racing, and turning the pages as fast as you can to make sure you're not missing a single thing!

5 WICKED COOL stars for this gorgeous book that outshines the beauty of the Montana skies.

“And, baby, even Wire, who I consider to be one of the greatest hackers of our generation, couldn’t find the extent of your ability, all of your depths, everything I’m learning.” He moved some hair from my face. “It’s like you have no bottom,” he murmured. “You’re never ending. You’re everlasting.”

Anastasia is the perfect chameleon. She completely has everyone fooled. Even herself. That quote from Duke could not be more accurate and gut wrenching. Ugh that man is amazing!

The mess that Anastasia has landed herself in couldn’t be worse. Her manager did the right thing by taking her to Greenstone Security for help. If they depended on the cops for protection she would have been dead in less than 24 hours.

Duke had no idea the layers that would be revealed once he got her home to his family ranch where he would be protecting her. Each layer I loved but also broke my heart more and more for her. It’s so sad to see that as see for more successful the more insecure and unsafe she felt.

But the light to all this was Duke’s grandma! Can she be my best friend! I love how we got bits and pieces of Anne in her character with mention of La Mer too!

We can’t have a bad guy take down without Rosie either. Where would the fun be without that? Lol!

I love Anne’s incorporation of some of our favorite characters from Greenstone Security and Sons of Templar. The mess of these characters are always fun to watch her bring together.

Duke and Anastasia’s romance is a beautiful story. Plus watching Duke fall is the best of all!

Resonance of Stars is Book 5 in the Greenstone Security Series. although this book can be read as a stand-alone I would 100% recommend you read this series.. I mean why not...? This entire series is amazing!!

Duke and Anastasia’s story was absolutely phenomenal .. They both are so complex and the chemistry is off the charts.

Anastasia is everything you would expect a movie star to be. She is beautiful, amazing at what she does, funny, and a down right bitch..(or she can be when she needs to be of course).. basically everything you’d expect her to be. Only she’s not really like that at all. Her life is now in danger after witnessing something horrific.. She needs to be perfect at what she does now in order to keep herself safe.. from the evil looking for her and the one trying to protect her..

Duke is grouchy, grumpy, protective, extremely alpha... and downright swoon worthy.. Duke is a member of Greenstone's security team and he is been sent to protect Anastasia till the threat has been taken care of.. Even if it take 3 month under the beautiful Montana Sky's with a woman that infuriates you..

Both teetering on the edge.. fighting not to fall.. but sometime falling is the best part..

Anne’s writing is off the charts phenomenal and I love that she pulls you into her stories.. you feel like you become a part of the story she is telling. Thank you for the amazing story and allowing me the opportunity to read this masterpiece!!
