It's nice to get back to the gang. I have missed the characters and I fell back in love within a matter of pages. I love how Lee and her wife are playing a bigger part in the story as they are so funny. I like that Trin will take over from Ainsley but I'm not ready to see the end of Ainsley yet. We have this guy trying to prove that the dragons are all bad and Rudolph has gone missing. There is quite a lot going on in this one and it seems like it may be too much for Sophia.
I was half way through the series, when I realised that I hadn't bought the rest of it but, luckily, I'd somehow managed to buy the newer version of the series: The Exceptional Sophia Beaufont - all 24 books of it!
This means that I had to swap over for this story but, despite each book being half the length of the previous Exceptional S Beaufont series (the new series divided each of the 12 books in half, hence 24 books), I had just as much enjoyment from this!
I'm going to have to say it: Lunis is definitely the Punniest of Punsters! Lol
It almost makes me breathless, the way in which Sophia deals with problems. But the way that she copes, with the love and care that she and Lunis have for each other, makes me totally envious that I don't have a dragon of my own!
With the way luck runs with me, my only companion is a curmudgeon of a Cat, who looks on me solely as her slave - no change there, then! Lol
Anyhoo, getting back to Sophia, despite her suffering one problem after another, without cease, Sophia just keeps on going, determined to do her duty towards the people living on planet Earth and, whether they are Magicians, Magical beings/animals, or Humans, she is determined to do Mother Earth proud, in making sure that everyone has a chance at life.
But, with every single one of her plates spinning, can she get the cure of a new disease striking Magicians and Elves?
And, despite his driving her crazy, will she be able to find, and rescue, King Randolf of the Fae?
I don't know the answer to those questions, yet, but I'm hoping to find them in the next book of the series, book sixteen: Rule of Righteousness!
Once I've finished this, I'll see you on the flip side, and let you know!
Loved this thrilling story! King Rudolph has gone missing, a distortion disease is infecting wizards, the dragons are feared by everyone, cures need to be found, deadly challenges faced, and there’s a giant spider to contend with! I loved the humour, wisdom, adventure and action in this story, as well as seeing a character from one of the authors other series make an unexpected appearance. Sophia continues to grow, she is a strong, intelligent warrior with a kind, gentle soul and a wisdom beyond her years. You can’t help but become more attached to her with each book you read. The relationships and repartee she has with Wilder, Lunis and Liv is both heartwarming and funny. These authors never disappoint, and each new book keeps you just as thoroughly entertained as the last.
The demon dragonets are now invisible, but still need to be found and the cure for Ansley is almost ready. But King Rudolph has been kidnapped by Congressman Neven Gusman to get information about getting rid of the Dragon Riders and gain more power over humans. Now the Beaufort sisters are on the trail.
Footnote: 1) The voices the narrator uses make them always sound angry and gritting their teeth. Takes away from the impact when the character is really supposed to be angry. Only ones sounding right is Sophia, Mama Jamba and Rudolph.
Fave scenes: the Sherwood Forest people chase, soccer moms, Rudolph & Liv’s clock conversation and visiting Ricky Bobby.
Sophia is a study in contrasts: a young woman with inherent wisdom, a warrior with compassion, and a gentle soul with iron resolve. Sarah brings out so many nuances in her characters, showing us the ever-changing sides of humanity.
We are taken on an amazing journey of discovery with contemporary issues referenced obliquely, nuggets of wisdom sprinkled liberally, fun Easter eggs for those who know to look, and hilarious conversations with crazy characters we love.
Another absorbing read, and I can’t wait to see more.
This series is full of quotes that define humanity, relationships and life. And puns, lots of bad puns. And dad jokes spoken by a dragon and a like minded wizard who has inserted herself firmly into her sister, the dragonrider’s tale. It doesn’t feel like I’m at least 16 books into this world, but that’s the lure of a good storyteller. You have no idea how much time you’ve spent reading but you feel like you’ve made some good friends. The author should be proud that she has birthed a world with worthwhile characters. Thank you.
Another great addition to the series. I love hos Sophia is developing as a Dragon Rider and taking on more responsibility. So many adventures for Sophia and her gang. I love how they all mix in together and I love all the interactions between the characters - Sophia and Wilder, Liv, Lunis, Hiker, Mother Nature and Father Time. In this one King Rudolph is abducted and Nevin Gooseman is on a mission to bring down the Dragon Elite! Sophia is having none of that! Engaging read.
This series is one of the best out. I enjoyed Soph on her many adventures. Always there to do what is right for the good of all. This one is my favorite (except I keep saying that...) so much adventure and danger. Makes you hold you breath until the battle is over. Each time Soph was in danger this is what I would catch my self doing! There is adventure and a trip to May Lings. Surprises and maybe some heartache. Sacrifice in a big way from someone we love and hold dear.
This is a spin off series from the "Unstoppable LIV Beaufont"..which is a great series. The story is about Sophia Beaufont (LIV's little sis) and about her being the 1st dragon rider in 100 years and 1st female rider EvER & all of her and her dragons challenges and adventures and love..ect. I love the characters and personalities in this series and its funny. I also really enjoy how author pulls in characters from Sister LiV story. Mrs.C 💋
I am so in love with this series. Each book gets better and better and this world is given even more depth as the series progresses. It has been so fun to see how Sophia is developing in her role as a dragon rider and taking on more responsibility as a leader. I love that we also get to see more interactions with her, Liv and Clark.
When Prince Rudy gets abducted, no one notices for a few days. The Dragon Elite are under attack by Nevin Goose man, a wizard and congressman. He is trying to destroy them as he feels Wizards should rule the world. Sophia always has several things going on at once because she can't say no to anyone. She must solve each case while still trying to save the Prince and the world. As usual Ms. Noffke has written a nonstop adventure with a hint of amusement added.
Love this series, S Beaufont is really busy trying to save the world, traveling to the future to get technology to save the dragon riders from the bad guys. Picking us a custom made dress made by a really big spider, finding a cure for Ansley. Busy, busy, busy ! Happy reading!
Well there is a few surprises in this one as you would expect and some interesting creatures and nods to others but it's nice to see some character development from sometimes unusual sources. Still great writing and reading however so thats great ,and i don't know how much angst and trepidation we can stand in close calls.
Sarah and Michael do it again. Their characters tug on your heartstrings or give you murderous thoughts. That takes talent I can't even imagine. The life threatening missions are heroes go through are well told and there are fun nods to other series. I won't spoil the surprise. A book and series well worth your time. Enjoy!
I'm listening to these while I'm at work, and I don't think I get as much enjoyment out of them as I would if I were reading them. It's a whole different experience.
The adventures are fun, and Sophia always saves the day, but I would like to see a little more character growth from all of the cast.
Great book, loved this story. It’s a great addition to the series, I look forward to reading the next one. As always it was a fantastic, action packed book that leaves the reader wanting more.
I really, really like Sophie and Lyn and all that they do. This story is no exception. But king Rolf is the surprise one in this story, it must be read to be believed. I loved the surprising adventure that Sophie goes on, that came out of left field. Great story.
As I read each book, I feel a part of it is me. I feel the wind in my face while on back of the dragon and I love it. I am a part of the story. Thank you for letting us in.
Rules of Justice is a fun book in this dragon rider series. The story works best for those who have read the other books in the series, though you could probably enjoy it independently. Some of the quirky humor is truly laugh out loud funny.
S. Beaufont is working to keep the Demon Dragons safe and also to help Ains. The Dragon Elite have an enemy that will stop at nothing to end them. Read to see what happens!
Lots of tongue in cheek humor and a fast pace make this lots of fun to read. Sophia and Links have a mountain of tasks but I'm the end have it all well in hand.
So full of quirky characters this book will have you laughing out loud from start to finish. Such a great world built into this fast paced adventure full of heart!
Wow, there is always so much happening in This series. Sarah Noffke and Michael Andele are excellent authors. Please don't ever stop being us fantastic stiries.
Though things worked out the way they did for Ainsley we can only hope that happiness will be hers one day. Love these characters and their adventures!!
