(1) I like how the Tech Support Coure's students created 'Fan Robots' who were modeled after our MC: Izuku Midoriya so the UA students can learn the proper way to deal with passionate/crazy fans! LOL LOL LOL
(2) Best Jeanist is the hidden gem in the series!!!
(3) All Might's teaching skills!!! LOL
(4) I like how Deku's fanboy-ness is addressed in the story, alongside Katsuki's asshole-ish behaviors. LOL
(5) The League of Villains have hiking and summer trip!!!!!!
(6) I really LOVE there are 'fanboy robots' Deku's outlook!
(7) Shigaraki being a man-child when he is forced to hike and do any physical labor! LOL
(8) But I don't like the only trans-woman character is being described as someone who would hit on guys when the guys clearly show no interest in her. *upsetting*
(9) It's also addressed that Deku is fanboying over all of the Pro Heroes. LOL

I’m kinda gonna miss this series. It was nice getting some slice of life moments and cute little side quests for the kiddos!

Alas so ends a curious and amusing series. I truly lived for the unhinged panels scattered throughout, some of which I was absolutely shocked to see published. 😳🫣 😏

(This review is for the entire Smash!! series)
Wow. This is so silly and dumb sometimes, but it's also one of its greatest assets!!! I absolutely love Neda's comedy and to be honest, it baffles me how little popular this is and how many low ratings it got. REALLY????? THIS IS COMEDY GOLD RIGHT HERE!!!
*a-hem* of course, to like and even want to read this spin-off, you have to first be acquainted with the characters of bnha. But even so, I think the comedy is funny enough even to the more "casual" fans.
All of the characters' personalities are slightly exaggerated (for comedic purposes), but even so, they're all very much "them". I didn't feel like any of them were ooc (even though they were written by somebody else) and the moments that they were "off" were explained by some villain's quirk making them change.
Not to mention: this has fan-service for everyone!! especially ship-wise. Neda was very generous in this aspect (whether he did it consciously or not), so every ship (popular, rare or in-between) had at least one moment.
Now, it is true that his art style is... kind of... amateur-ish. Sorry, Neda. But still, I couldn't care less about it, because all of the rest is top-notch quality.
If you like bnha and are able to get yourself a copy of smash!!, please do so. You won't regret it!

Vol #5 is a 3.5*, but rounded up because why not?
Anyway, wanna do a quick overview of the series for funsies, and so I'll say this.
A. I think, overall, the further this series progressed the better it got? I think, partially, this is likely due to the author figuring out how they wanted to characterize everyone, as well as changing the direction from being fairly faithful to the original to instead acting as a slice of life separate from it. This allowed for Smash!! to kind of give itself its own life, and that likely strengthened it to a point where I would chuckle with the comedy and tonal changes rather than mildly cringing from it.
B. I think this actually made me enjoy the league a bit more, though I do wish Twice had some appearances; I think he would've fit well with the cast; it made them seem more like a "found family", and honestly I normally enjoyed their panels the most. Makes me almost wish for just a villain (that took way too long to spell, oof!) spinoff of either the original series or this one, though perhaps I could eventually say that about the light novels once I get to reading them.
C. Mineta. He's kind of a mixed bag here? If you dislike him, as many (including myself) do, then just know that he gets more punishment, but also more screen time. Kinda depends on your preference.
D. Overall, I'm glad we got to see a bit more of the friendships made between the 1-A cast here, making them seem a bit more cohesive; though sometimes their interactions definitely seemed out of character, certain groups (such as the "bakusquad", "dekusquad" and the girls of 1-A) had interactions that I felt connected them to a point where I could almost see what the fandom is talking about. Definitely read for that, if you enjoy those relationships.
E. If you're a Midoriya fan, I don't really know what to tell you? If you want to see more poking fun of his and Bakugou's relationship, definitely read. If you want to see him be a hero fanboy in a hero school, definitely read. But, if you want to perhaps see his general kindness or self-sacrificing nature alongside or alone? Perhaps skip, though there are 2-3 chapters where it does still show. It's definitely not a bad portrayal of him by any means, but the angle the author went sometimes felt unaligned with how he acts in the manga, more so than for other characters. (Especially with Endeavor, though I think Endeavor fans will enjoy!)
F. Bakugou and Uraraka fans definitely were served here! It gives Uraraka a lot of space to shine and show a bit more of her fiery and strong-willed personality, and overall Bakugou is just great here.
Basically, I think this is a fun read for individuals who already enjoy the original series, but at the same time the comedy is definitely taste specific, and takes some time to develop. Don't go in with super high hopes, especially for the first 2 volumes, but at the same time there are definitely some gems of chapters, either in comedy, or simply how characters of all different roles are seen and written.

(I received an arc copy of this manga in exchange for an honest review)
I'm a fan of the main series, and anime, but I have to admit I'm quite behind and haven't read the previous volumes of Smash!!, but I am involved in the online fandom enough to have seen quite a lot of previous chapters online and in fan theories.
I really enjoyed the villain chapters because I'm a big villain fan, but it's not often we actually get to see them having fun. It was cool to see the class 1-A kids having lessons and training that we don't really see in the main series that's actually quite important to become a great hero.
It was nice to read the same characters but in funny situations with less stress and real-world consequences of being heroes/villains. I especially enjoyed the League of Villains bonding chapters because we don't see that in the main series since it's focused on the hero class, but it adds a little more to the relationships between them.
I found it interesting to see what the characters would be like in another dimension, and it was funny too. A nice little side story to the main series, even if it's not technically canon, it still had some 'character development'.
I like how the author, Hirofumi Neda included a little story about himself in the back, explaining that he injured his hand and why the quality of some volumes is a little different. It is sad to hear that it won't be continued, but it might come back for an anniversary thing so that could be good.
I will definitely have to check out the first four manga volumes of Smash!! now, and since I don't know anyone in person who reads manga, i would recommend to all fans of the main series, especially the anime fans who enjoy the fun, goofy episodes where nothing plot-heavy really happens.

Smash as an overall series was pretty great honestly. A lot of crude humor, but the way Neda recreated the characters and gave them specific personalities that carried on through the five books was rather entertaining. It was funny to see Midoriya as the obsessive fanboy, or Ochako as the hillbilly poor student. Neda did a great thing by highlighting each characters already funny personality and making them 10x bigger. There were plenty of moments where I physically laughed out loud by how stupid the jokes were, and that’s telling something for a 4 panel manga.
This last book wasn’t as funny or entertaining as the previous four. The Isekai special was kinda random and didn’t really feel like “smash” but still enjoyable. I liked seeing more of the LOV in this book. The LOV really grew on me. And it’s just fun seeing shigaraki in a funny light. Stain was a winner in this book as well.
Overall just a nice series. And I’m sad this series is over.

It's a really stupid but funny 4-panel gags involving My Hero Academia.
Again, some of the jokes are hit-and-miss. So if you start reading it and get a little turned off, try to power through it. There's probably a joke for you.
Included in this volume:
Villain orientation. Addictive smartphone games. Internships. School festivals. Villain team building. Shiketsu High! All the summer!!! Interview with a villain. THE SECRET BOSS IS FOUND! And, of course, hero training.
Overall, this series is fairly average, as per usual for a gag manga. Since humor is unique to everyone, some jokes will make you laugh and others will make you question humanity. I give this series a solid 3/5.

I liked it less than the previous few, but there were some funny bits. I liked pretty boy Bakugou and the part with the time guy.

I'm just sad that this is the final book. These were so silly and charming. I'm going to miss the nonsense. Especially Endeavor.

What a Way to End a Successful, Comedic, Spin-off Magna:
The fifth and final volume of the comedic spinoff of the most successful Superhero Anime franchise ends with a very high note, with a couple of unique characters that could tied the other previous four volumes together. I highly recommend this book and the series altogether.
