Analogies, Energies and Celestial Bodies aims to bridge the gap between the physical and the nonphysical realms of our world, because everything is energy. Through digestible analogies, we seek to convey that the expanse of the cosmos is playing out within each of us. By sharing key ingredients in the recipe of creation and creativity, we allow individuals to understand themselves and current events in a more holistic way. From this place, we are led to show up better in the world, but the road we walk towards this understanding can take many shapes and forms. The Western World likes to define itself using specific categories, but fitting into a pre-existing societal mold is not always the road to happiness. Sometimes, we need to make up our own minds about who we are; and Analogies, Energies and Celestial Bodies becomes a tool to support us along that journey. In the process of nurturing an intuitive understanding of the world above us, we become artists of ourselves—we learn to make masterpieces of who we are and then dedicate our energy to the collective.Shannon Hugman works full time as a “cosmic meteorologist.” Her podcast, What the Heck is Energetic Astrology has a 5-star rating on iTunes. Readers’ Comments “A well-written look at astrological energy. The author seems to understand that not everybody is an expert and works hard to make her writing accessible; she succeeds most of the time. Although I felt the cover lacked the ‘POW!’ factor, I think many people interested in astrology, even as a hobby, will find this a gripping read.” Male reader, age 52 “This book on astrology and the energy all around us is a very interesting read, even for a beginner like me. I did have to reread the odd page to keep up with the author, but I felt she worked really hard to explain the subject.” Female reader, aged 42 “I enjoyed the ‘My Story’ part of the book very much. It sort of put me as at ease as a reader I thought it was very interesting how the author suggests by understanding the universe and how it works, we can better understand who we are.” Male reader, age 69 “Whether you think astrology is nonsense or not, there is still much to enjoy in this work. There's a chatty feel to the writing, and the author seems to understand her readership and what they want to know. A lively sort of book; the sort of book you can discuss at length with a pal. It was interesting how she could guess the star sign of everybody when she was a kid. I thought that was pretty cool.” Female reader, age 62
To Sum It Up: ‘A fascinating look at astrology and the energy surrounding us, written in an accessible and interesting way.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
This was a fantastic book - like a dictionary for astrology! I will never need another astrology book again - this is full of information presented in easy to understand analogies
Utilizing her trademark analogy-style Astrology, Hugman's book is chock full of info for anyone looking to get a more in-depth look at the energies surrounding us on a daily basis. While some sections occasionally felt a little heavy on the "analogy" part, it was easy to tell that the reason for it was to ensure that the work is accessible to anyone, whether new to the stars or someone who has long studied them.
