The long-awaited, exciting fifth volume in the epic Exile series. Queen Rhiannon of New Fairy goes to help an old enemy, the witch who cursed her to nakedness. She ends up in a parallel universe helping a future Marine, the biological daughter of her wife, Heather. They fight to save both universes. As the two women guardedly work together, their stories intertwine, and Rhiannon’s friends wonder if the queen is still herself or a doppelgänger. Things rapidly escalate as a rogue leader uses the secret name of God to change reality to his liking. Action-packed, deeply embedded with levels, compared to Game of Thrones by one reviewer, this is well worth the wait for fans of Rhiannon the Nude.
Enjoyable but extremely confusing and a tad erratic. And vice versa twisted. And verse visa inside out. And backwards forwards. I really hope the next Rhiannon tale -- if there is one (and one seems very likely) --- is a lot sensically easier to follow. "Exile" could/should have been three books not one. Or versa vice. Pixie Page agrees.
