A BRIDGE TO MOUNT DROLYM

Rate this book
TRUE LOVE IS DRAWN TO THE DARKEST OF HEARTS. One woman will risk everything for a chance at a love that seems too desperate to be real. Aleris is broken. A crippling secret blights her life in the mystical lands of Drolym; she alone knows she has murdered her own child. From her prison of regret and shame, she plunges headlong into a journey of risk, romance, and restoration to marry a king. The catch is, no one has ever seen his face or even heard the voice of this immortal ruler. Aleris must cross the Bridge to Drolym, or she will never know true love and acceptance.

All of humanity has the innate need to experience authentic love and acceptance—to know that no heart is too dark for deep love. A Bridge to Mount Drolym is a beautiful story of a desperate love that plunges into the depths of the reader’s heart, challenging their idea of what genuine desire looks like in action.

A Bridge to Mount Drolym, written by Matthew Shutte, is first-rate allegorical fiction. Once I saw the connection to God's pursuit of His beloved children, I couldn't put the book down. The author brings to his readers the message of God's mercy and grace to the undeserving. I enjoyed this thought-provoking book and look forward to reading more from this author. I was given a complimentary copy of the book through a contest and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

Unique, Symbolic Story

This is a story of redemption. A young woman holds a secret. She deserves death, and holds bitterness in her heart. However, she is forever changed when she hears the voice of her King, and experiences His mercy and love. This story reflects Christ's pursuit of His church, and how we can be purified through Christ's sacrifice.

I really appreciated the creativity of this story. It really hit home God's relentless pursuit of us, the way He lavishes His blessings upon us, and the anticipation we should have for his return.

The idea of the Living Gifts was one of my favorite things.

For me, this was not a quick page-turner, but a read experienced in small portions, to better wrap my head around the symbolism. Congratulations to the author on what I think is his first published book.

The book quickly draws the reader into a remarkable world. Through compelling and unique metaphor it describes the almost unimaginable depth of love and sacrifice of Dercassi Drolym. I found the book thought provoking and comforting as it presented these age old beliefs in a wonderful new light.
