I’ve always been the type of man to believe a man must honor thy mother and thy father. When my father passed away, I felt it was my job to lead my family with the love and devotion he had, so I honored my sister and my mother. When my sister was kicked out of the house by my mom for disrespecting our values I swore I’d honor my mother and no one would make me hurt her the way my father and sister did when they left, and I’ve held strong onto those words. Until the embodiment of Sin walked in my life… or should I say slid down the pole into my view. All it took was one look from her and my world was corrupted. She was sinful from her big pretty lips covered in lip gloss to her body that moved in a way that fed the fire blazing in my body by just looking. SCANDALOUS! SINFUL! DANGEROUS! BLACK! She was all the things I was told to stay away from by my mother, but with just the sway of her hips I was hypnotized, and all those promises I had made to my mother flew out the window. She had me defying my mother whom I swore to never hurt and questioning the woman I’d thought I loved. She corrupted me and I welcomed it, wanted it, craved it. She is sin. She is Sinful. She is will be MINE!
Sin and Sterling are E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!!!!! Ms. Rose continues to make me root for these jealous, possessive psycho men in her stories...I'm starting to think something's wrong with me 🤣🤣🤣. Anywho, I am thoroughly impressed with the slight differences from the original version. Now before you read this one, you need to understand that THIS IS A FICTIONAL STORY and there's some stuff in here that might be offensive to some...so read at your own risk. There's some grammatical errors, extra words or possibly a missing word but in my opinion, this is an STILL an amazing story and worth every penny
This book presents an intriguing premise: a billionaire grappling with familial expectations, societal prejudices, and unexpected love. The story follows a young man, whose racist mother is pushing him towards an impending marriage with a white woman. In a twist of fate, he finds himself at a strip club during his bachelor party, where he meets a captivating black stripper. Their chemistry is palpable, leading to a heated encounter that sets the stage for a whirlwind romance However, the execution of this narrative leaves much to be desired. The pacing is alarmingly fast, often skipping over crucial character development and setting descriptions. Readers are left without a clear sense of place or the physicality of the characters, which makes it challenging to engage with the story. The lack of detail can be frustrating, as one struggles to visualize the scenes unfolding on the page As a continuation of a previous work, the backstory adds some complexity: the protagonist's sister, ostracized for becoming pregnant at a young age, has taken a path to stripping that no one in the family is aware of until this bachelor party. This twist could have been a rich vein for exploration, but instead, it feels underdeveloped and rushed The relationships in the book, particularly between the protagonist and the stripper, are fraught with unrealistic possessiveness and poorly executed romantic encounters. The intimate scenes lack coherence, often jumping from one position to another without clear transitions—leaving readers more confused than captivated. Ultimately, while the story has potential, it feels like it could benefit from a more seasoned editor's touch to refine the narrative flow and deepen character exploration. I give this book 2 stars, as I genuinely wish it could have been better. With more attention to detail and pacing, this tale of love amidst societal challenges could have truly resonated.
I’ll start off by saying I wasn’t going to participate in @nal after you called me a whore with your entire chest. On no planet was that happening, smfh. This book gives “still trying to find my voice”. Didn’t care for him (momma’s boy to a bigot, for one reason) and she was a shell of a character. Loved other books by author but this was a Big MEH. I won’t get into the common issues with some books because they didn’t distract overly much but I didn’t believe the instance chemistry or this falling in love. Glad I read other stuff of hers first. She’s gotten infinitely better at establishing chemistry at onset, depth of characters, interesting and twisty plots, etc.
This book is attention-grabbing from the get-go. I love the main characters Sin and Sterling. They both have their flaws which makes the story relatable especially the racist issues dealt with. Sin is strong, and sassy, speaks her mind, and a black stripper. Sterling, is white and grew up in a household where he was forbidden from having black friends or god forbid marrying one. I love seeing Sterling make a 180 about being with a black woman. This was intense due to the racial subjects being dealt with. Omg, it's spicy as hell!!
I’m sorry but this was terrible. I wasted my time and that is to bad. First of al the spelling mistakes and words that where missing I just I tried to ignore it but it was just to much. Then the story line it just didn’t make any sense and the characters where suddenly different than they were in the beginning. English is not my first language so I don’t even mind if there are some mistakes but this was even to much for me to ignore….
Spelling mistakes.. grammatical errors.. I mean maybeeeeeee just maybe i could’ve looked past all that (lol) if the plot was good but..😭 I have a lot of questions man, like firstly.. why? Secondly.. WHY?! 😭 tbh I knew i’d be annoyed reading this considering the type of book it is theme wise buttttt man, I shoulda left it on the (virtual) shelf. 😂 I wanted to DNF it but I was curious at how much more I could ‘lol’😂 the 1 star is just because i had to rate it something 🙃
There are some strong racial slurs and racist language. If things of this nature bother you, I will suggest reading a different book by this author.
For me, it was a very entertaining book. As crazy as this story is, it is relatable because life is not cookie cutter. It can be very messy especially for the wealthy and elite. When you bring IR into the wealthy and elite, it can be quite demoralizing. I'm glad for Sinthia and Sterling's happy ending. It goes to show that no matter your background or upbringing that you can choose to do better or change the tide and also bless others along the way.
The moral of this story could be “ always know who you’re dealing with at all times” . By not knowing could have cost Sterling’s mother her life. Because Emily wasn’t who she claimed to be. Then Emily not knowing the far reaches of exactly who Sterling’s friends were costed not only her life , but someone she held dear. I kept comparing this book to “ The Don’s Black Beauty “. They are both fast moving, several moving pieces at once, and I highly enjoyed them both!
I enjoy the story line but there was a lot of editing issues. At 1st it was not a big deal but as the story progress the typos got worst. Also, I felt the ending was rushed and little bit confusing. Or could had been to editing issues because I had to skip ahead to avoid being frustrated with the grammar errors. The story line had a promises but unfortunately the editing issues took away from the story.
This one was humorous! The antics this group can have!!! I will say that Sterling wasn’t someone I could get down with though. The shadiness knew no bounds. Sometimes it made me happy when bad things happened to him and Sin because I felt like they deserved it. Karma and all that. They were an interesting duo. Eventually they found themselves on the right path. I will say that it made me salivate for Adam’s story.
This story had a lot and I mean alot of drama in it . I couldn't put it down until I finished. Now I am curious about Adam and this 'Conner' that was mentioned during Sin's kidnapping. I assume I will have to read the mafia books by Ms Marie .
I liked how she ties everyone together. The only thing I didn't like about this story is the cover . It's c Could have been better .
This book is absolutely amazing! The way the story unfolds is just like a movie. I can visualize the characters and understand how they feel in the moments the authors presents them in. The author subtly lets on that there are other books to continue the storyline.
Sin and Sterling went through a lot before they were able to be together. I'm glad he was able to see pass and grow from the he was raised. I was so, so happy when Emily and her boyfriend Paul were introduce to the O'Shea brothers. If it wasn't for Sin, Emily would have killed Sterling's mom and nobody would have known who done it.
Girl when I read your books I just can’t put them down!! I enjoyed the whole journey of Sin and Sterling. I like that you added in some real life situations with dealing with crooked officers of the law. I can’t wait for the next book I know it’s going to be amazing 💯💯🥰
Rose just keeps getting better and better, but these sex scenes got me blushing O.D. 😳 I loved everything about this story, except the fact that it wasn’t longer. I wish all her books were longer. On that note, I’m gonna re-read His Obsession for the millionth time.
I am not a fan of romances, but HONEEEEYYY CHHIILLLEEE, this was an excellent, fun read! I found myself laughing, smiling, rolling my eyes, and zooming through the pages to see how Sin was driving Sterling crazy! Love, lust, and a bunch of craziness are in this book. It's a must-read!
Good read 📚 story line was good. Emily crazy self I just can't. But Sterling should have never and I mean never married her to begin with. She just did to much he should have backed out. Sinthia like Widow are good women and got good men ever through Sterling just needed a push. Both books are good but they had a lot of spelling errors.
I was skittish reading this book because I’m not into the whole poll dancing woman but once I read it I couldn’t get enough of it. Rose always do her thang in her books and this one is amazing good. Their was some errors but I use my notes to fix them lol but over all this book was divine. Can’t wait for more of her books.
Another great one by Rose Marie!!! Didn’t have any expectations for this book but I can tell you I’m very impressed. She was able to build a plot and capture all aspects in such a short book. You really learn a bit about everyone like Ben and Adam whilst not revealing too much. I’m yet to be disappointed!
I must say I did not like Ben in this book at all. I mean some people can change and the hero was really trying to make everything right. Even if he was selfish but hell she agreed to it.
I absolutely love this author. I was ecstatic to see she posted a new book, and it didn't disappoint. I loved Sin and Sterling's story. The whole group of friends are an entertaining and enjoyable bunch. I'm anxiously waiting book three
Rose Marie you have done it again. I love Sterling and Sin story I never thought Sterling would change his way of thinking but all her needed was a taste of some good chocolate. I can’t wait to see them in your other books.
I swear I've been waiting for Sin and Sterling's story ever since Wattpad. The limo scene is classic. I love that Rose Marie gets to put out her stories for everyone to enjoy. Can't wait for the next one!
Omg. Such a great read. What can I say but where is the next one. Rose Marie didn’t disappoint. Waited months for this book and took me 2 hours to finish it. Couldn’t put it down.
Sterling and Sin was a great read!! Their journey had ups and downs , but through all they came through for each other an d I loggerheads Adam!! I can't wait for his story, great job :)
Wonderfully entertaining!! Sin turned Sterling out!! Lol I also loved the minor intro of Connor and the guys! I'm happy Sterling and Ben are friends again! Oops! Spoiler! 🤣🤣🤣
I loved the story line! It was a great read once again! Yes it did need editing but understood it all! Love how the stories are all connected! Keep writing. Who is next? Want to hear about Liam next!
