WWJD?
This story is about Andi. She’s recently-divorced from Preston, and is a single parent to teenage Lily. The new relationship she has with her ex-husband is pretty much the same since the separation and divorce, which is amicable and tolerable at best. But he invites her to their planned cabin getaway anyway, which she says no to. Her best friend Juliana (Jules) plans a girls’ weekend trip for the two of them to Nashville instead.
Upon returning from her fun weekend away, Andi contemplates a stay in Italy. And after much debate, six weeks later, she’s leaving for an art exchange program based in Florence for a semester. Her Professor Niccolo Lombardi looked like a GQ cover model, so studying was sure to be a treat. And on an evening out with Niccolo, she met Giovanni, who worked as a bartender at the restaurant they went to. She’d never seen such an attractive man in person before. They were both captivated by each other, so things were definitely looking up for Andi.
Two hot Italian men interested in her… Whilst it felt wrong to be involved with her professor, she was quite open to the idea of exploring Giovanni. So she did. He was full of compliments and sweet passion. They spent more nights together until her last night there. On their last evening together, Gio took her to his grandmother’s home for a true Italian home-cooked meal. Whilst she was happy to be going home, she was also sad to be leaving Italy, not knowing if she’d ever be back. Giovanni told her that ‘Italy is part of who you are now and we always come back to who we are’.
Once Andi got home, she could admit she’d missed her ex-husband too. Her and Preston’s almost-reunion was going so well until she decided to be too up-front and honest with him. And he stupidly accused her of becoming some midlife crisis-having whore! She was sobbing after she threw him out of her house, and called Jules to talk about her evening with him. They both agreed that Pres was ‘guilty of high douchebaggery’ (SO gonna use that phrase!).
After some ups and downs as they try to reconnect, though not really knowing what they want, or how to get there without compromising their relationship. But with a little help from Lily and Jules, they get there. The proposal scene was sweet and funny, with his cute attempt at speaking Italian to/for her.
And that epilogue… SWOON! Florence is literally where I am supposed to be right now, so I LOVED reading about it, and desperately wishing I was really there! I did think that the story ended a bit too abruptly, and wasn’t ready to farewell these very likeable characters! I might be a bit cheeky but I actually thought that Giovanni might make a cameo appearance in the epilogue, just to add a bit of surprise ;) I give this book four and a half Tuscan stars!
And, I have to say, that 2.30am lake surprise was just so sweet and lovely and romantic. The moonlit tryst was so romantic and hot! And, I love that Andi pulled out the latest Erika Phillips novel – nice touch ;)

Absolutely loved this book.
Enjoyable read about Andi was who divorced from her husband Preston after twenty years of marriage. She wanted to do her long life dream and that was to go to Italy and study art so found herself Googling “art history graduate programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.Then six weeks later Andi was leaving for an art exchange Master’s Program. She would be spending one semester in Florence.
While there Andi studied and enjoyed herself and but all she could think about was her ex husband and what she had before they divorced she also met a charming bartender who she had a short entangled with but all she could think about was her ex.

I loved this book because is was based on her life and her family her daughter Lily and what she wanted to do with her life.I also liked her best friend Juliana who was always there to listen and support her at anytime day or night.
The other thing that was enjoyable about this book was Sprocket the dog who made you laugh with his antics and I loved how the author also included her self in the book which put a smile on my face.

The book was well written the characters were great and there were some steamy scenes in the book and I would REALLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK and I can’t wait to read more books from this author.

I received and reviewed this arc book and I leave my honest view and opinion.

A very relatable second chance read...
This sometimes touched a bit too close to home but I could so identify, not that I'm divorced... yet! A year after their divorce the couple have similar regrets & thoughts but will they be able to articulate their feelings in a first step to get back what they've lost? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Take Two is a quick read about one woman's journey of self discovery. I found Andi's story very true to life. Her and her ex-husband had real life issues, that dishwasher argument? RELATABLE!! While this is a second chance romance it leans more towards second chance at life. What do I mean by that? Well, Andi works very hard to re-evaluate where she is in her life. Her grand plans for her personal life got swept away by family obligations and time. I appreciated that she took that time to find out what she was missing in her marriage, and in herself. We could all use a little bit of that!

I was totally engrossed in this second chance story about a previously married couple. The story brought out so many emotions from me at different times. There was sadness, excitement, and happiness all mixed together. I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning of the book. It was steamy at parts and had a wonderful ending that left me happy. I received an ARC copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

A quick must read

Take two is a beautiful story of taking a second chance. After her divorce Andi tries to enjoy the things she didnt do because of getting married young. But sometimes those little things you argued about don't compare to all the things you love about a person!
A 5 star fast paces romance!

Single mom Andi is lucky, she has a fairly good relationship with her ex-husband Preston. She also has a strong support system in her best friend and confidante Juliana. Her dream has always been to go to Italy to study art, a dream she put on stop when she got married. I enjoyed this book very much. Erika Phillips does an excellent job with her characters and places.

I received this book as an advance review copy in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion.
