If you are like most people, family is one of the greatest joys in your life, but it also presents some of the greatest challenges you’ve ever faced. Thankfully, God's Word provides practical and penetrating answers to how we can faithfully meet the challenges of family life. In this volume, Dr. Paul Shirley provides a practical description of the Christian home based on Ephesians 5:22-6:4. Covering key principles for marriage and parenting in one volume, this is a resource for the life of the family.

4.5/5. This book manages to be both theologically rich and surprisingly concise and readable at the same time. This is what will make it so useful for future referencing - it’s easy to pick it up and be quickly and helpfully reminded of truth.
Super convicting! It’s a high standard the Christian home is called to. It can only be strived for and met by the grace and help of God! The book definitely gives me a lot to examine in myself, repent of, and work through. Great book for all believers!
This book is a simple, straightforward, yet profound exposition of those passages in the Bible pertaining most specifically to the family. Shirley unashamedly describes the God-ordained roles of husband, wife, parent, and child... all of which have been rejected by a rebellious world. He challenges us to consider whether our day-to-day lives reflect our submission to God's Word. This was a great book that I certainly recommend!
A short, biblical, accessible and practical treatise on how to honor and obey God in your family’s home life. Not full of innovative techniques and hacks to improve your family life. Full of signposts pointing you back to scripture. That’s refreshing in a noisy culture full of lies and confusion about what men, women, and the family really are. Would recommended.
Excellent, a quick read but it’s better to take your time. Better yet, read it with your spouse. I wish my husband and I had read it at the beginning of our marriage. A great foundation for Christian family life.
