Songs Become Pictures The lyrics of BTS songs come to life with illustrations that will touch hearts and let imaginations soar When listening to music, we find healing or new understanding of life not only from the melodies but sometimes from the lyrics. Some lyrics even on their own pulse with special power. We are happy to present to you the GRAPHIC LYRICS Series as a new means of storytelling with lyrics and illustrations ―a new way to move the hearts of people with the songs and their lyrics.
As the first installment, five illustration books with the lyrics of BTS songs are now available. “A Supplementary Story : You Never Walk Alone” from the album YOU NEVER WALK ALONE ; “Save ME” and “House Of Cards” from the special album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever ; and “RUN” and “Butterfly” released in the mini album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt.2 have been reborn as illustration books under the same titles.
“We Can Laugh When We’re Together” The story of seven boys and their special connections of encouragement and hope Vol. 4 RUN is about two boys and their dreams and struggles. Published in extended horizontal format, the right-hand pages fold out to endlessly extend the two boys’ footsteps visually, the pictures expressing their determination to make their dream come true as well as their unwavering friendship. Like a repeat sign in a music score, some emotions have a way of surging back to you in retrospect. The GRAPHIC LYRICS Series will knock on the hearts of readers with the lyrics from the five songs, five different illustrations, and five printing formats as well as the joy of reading which only paper books can offer. The series will be the very first of its kind as well as a brand-new way of appreciating music.
Namjoon and that train container haunt my dreams, I swear to you. This is the Graphic Lyric book that I really recommend watching the music video with, because no other BTS MV gives you as much Bangtan University storyline as Run. And the art in this book just adds to everything and makes the story play before you like the visual masterpiece that it is.
But we get to see Joon working impossibly long hours, while trying to take care of his family and still find happiness while achieving dreams for himself. And we also get to see Taehyung and how his father is an alcoholic who is being violent towards him and his family. Both of these young men are just looking for safety and solace, and they are willing to do anything to achieve it, but in the meantime they can find a little bit of both of those things with each other.
This time we are presented with the story of Taehyung and Namjoon, two friends bound by their wishes and dreams that are shattered, which although they know are impossible, the two do not stop thinking about them. Again, two characters whose story I know quite well from notes, I can't necessarily say that it is something new. A book with a physical composition again, unique like the previous one, only this time it is horizontal, presenting the dreams of the two and their attempt to run away towards their fulfillment. The color combinations that represent each character were amazing! Just all these anthologies and this whole universe created by BTS still gives me goosebumps. WoW! Seriously, I'm not kidding when I say that I've encountered something like this before! I'm so glad I got to read these!! And discover this whole universe!! One more anthology and I'm done.
