The lyrics of BTS songs come to life with illustrations that will touch hearts and let imaginations soar When listening to music, we find healing or new understanding of life not only from the melodies but sometimes from the lyrics. Some lyrics even on their own pulse with special power. We are happy to present to you the GRAPHIC LYRICS Series as a new means of storytelling with lyrics and illustrations ― a new way to move the hearts of people with the songs and their lyrics.
As the first installment, five illustration books with the lyrics of BTS songs are now available. “A Supplementary Story : You Never Walk Alone” from the album YOU NEVER WALK ALONE(2017); “Save ME” and “House Of Cards” from the special album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever(2015) and “RUN” and “Butterfly” released in the mini album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt.2(2015) have been reborn as illustration books under the same titles.
“We Can Laugh When We’re Together” The story of seven boys and their special connections of encouragement and hope Vol. 5 Butterfly is about a boy who sees all of his friends somewhere between dream and reality, and past and future. Finally, the boy starts to walk in one direction, as if he has made up his mind, signaling an end which is also a new beginning. Like a repeat sign in a music score, some emotions have a way of surging back to you in retrospect. The GRAPHIC LYRICS Series will knock on the hearts of readers with the lyrics from the five songs, five different illustrations, and five printing formats as well as the joy of reading which only paper books can offer. The series will be the very first of its kind as well as a brand-new way of appreciating music.
This last (as of now) Graphic Lyric book is a beautiful glimpse into the boys being together, being safe, and being carefree enjoying time together while Jin views it all. Yet, how the pages are also able to be turned, we can see Jin struggling with waking up and having to start all over again while Jungkook and Yoongi, Jimin and Hobi, and Tae and Namjoon are in their other alternate realities where they are struggling together.
Truly this whole story is so wild, so beautiful, and so heart-wrenching. Not only is Butterfly one of my favorite BTS songs, it just so beautifully encapsulates change, and opportunity, and how things can always get better, even if we are forced to endure not so great situations a little while longer.
I truly do not know where this story is going to end, but BTS (in this alternative reality and in our own) are soulmates and I hope they all get the happy endings that they deserve.
This is without a doubt my favorite anthology of all! Reading it I realized how well this whole story was built! It left me speechless again!!!
Here is the story of Jin, who tries to save his friends from the horrible present they are facing, so that they can all meet again at the beach, this being Jin's greatest wish. Starting with the webtoon save me and ending with this anthology, it only makes me think about how well I was introduced to this whole fictional story that while reading this final piece of creation, I realize that in fact this whole story is A MASTERPIECE. I can't imagine how these guys managed to create something so amazing! This anthology was built exactly like the notes, because it simply plays with your mind and makes you even more confused than you already were! But I liked it the most out of all 5 anthologies.
It's simply something new, from Jin's perspective that made me find out all this attempt of his to save his friends and bring them all back to the beach. I already knew from the notes that this would happen, but the end of this anthology ends exactly with this which made me happy, taking this as an ending that I was waiting for, ending my adventure through this whole story. But I know, that the action in the notes is far from ending like this. But I feel, that this was the right ending for the 5 anthologies.
Also, the appearance of Kafka on the shore by Murakami?? Not to mention that the notes also included Demian by Hesse, which I already got, and also, Emily Dickinson?? These guys really have good taste in reading, let alone their songs and the composition of a wonderful story and masterpiece!!!!
Seriously, that I need at least a week to be able to understand everything that happened in this whole story. The notes will remain, of course, my favorites, but reading and discovering the anthologies I can say that it helped me discover new things, but I also can't deny that they made me even more confused, especially this one:)) Everything is wonderful! Hands down for these guys!!!😍😭
Because there are no quotes here, I'll leave a few aspects that helped me understand the context:
‘A brief introduction: On June 12, 19, all 7 go to the beach together on a sunny day. The day begins the beginning of the bond between Jungkook and Yoongi and it is a memorable and precious day for all of them. After Jin leaves for LA to pursue higher education, he returns in April 2022 to find all his friends scattered and in horrible conditions - eventually Namjoon ends up in prison, Taehyung kills his father, Yoongi and Jungkook die by suicide, and Hoseok and Jimin end up in a mental hospital. Seokjin drives to the beach again and wonders if he can save everyone.’
Again, in this context, the lyrics talk about Jin's time travel. The butterfly effect is:
"The butterfly effect is the idea that small things can have a non-linear impact on a complex system. The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings and causing a typhoon." (Source) It's the idea that the smallest of changes creates an entirely new alternate reality. As Jin travels through time, more often than not, the smallest of his decisions completely alters the timeline.’
‘Among these lines, "My Kafka on the shore, does not go to the woods there" are particularly significant. Kafka on the Shore is a novel by Haruki Murakami that also intersects between past and present, dream and reality. The plot of the novel is too complex to describe here, but I will talk a little about the forests. In the novel, Kafka is warned not to get lost in the forest - he goes there to go into the past, to meet the love of his life. However, people who go into the forest often lose their way and never come out. In other words, it's a metaphor for people who get lost in their past and never face reality. These lines are juxtaposed with a simple forest scene and an empty bed, suggesting that perhaps, like Kafka, Jin chose to visit the forest.’
‘Jin catches the butterfly in his hands - and because I'm a hopeful person, I interpret this as Jin finally fulfilling his dream - the butterfly in his hands is a symbol of the fact that he has some control over how the timeline unfolds. After all, visiting the beach was his dream and it comes true in this book.’

Es de los libros más bonitos (fisicamente) que tengo, me encantó que hubiera páginas cortadas porque siento que complementan perfecto al texto. 10 de 10.
