Rate this book
Hase-san tells Aki he loves her, so she does her best to lock away her feelings for Hongyo and throw away the key. There's just one problem -- Hase-san won't sleep with her. And if that wasn't strange enough, there are rumors going around that he took a coworker home for a one-night stand. Aki doesn't know what to think, but she knows a bath is just the thing she needs to clear her head. But it's not until she shuts the bathroom door behind her that she realizes the bath is occupied... by Hongyo! And in a mad dash to open the door, she's broken the lock!

10 volumes in and I’m still reading this. However embarrassing that is, it does leave an impression. The premise is so bizarre that you keep reading. Then after a number of volumes you feel invested, regardless of how well you are liking it. I feel a little like when I kept watching ER or Grey’s Anatomy because of the time I’d already put into it not because of what I get out of it currently. The book is very light, easy, and quick to read. I sometimes feel anxious looking at these manga series 30+ volumes in. I don’t think I’ll last through that many but for now, I’ll keep going and read the next one when it’s released.

2020 Read #519

FINALLY our heroine gives the love interests a piece of her mind! She was decisive in showing a backbone to them both. And, you know, the news of a TV adaptation really works for this manga because the character drama really might lend itself well to a show. I don’t know how much longer the manga can draw out the angst, though, so I’m hoping this series will wrap up within 2-3 more volumes. If not, well, I guess I’m in for the long haul at 10 volumes in so far.

I’ll admit, I skipped vol 8 & 9 because they were not free like 1-7 from kindle unlimited. I like the series but not enough to really spend the money, plus reading the summaries it didn’t sound like the plot moved foreword too much. At the beginning of this volume it’s easy to tell what I missed within the first chapter. This volume had a lot of character development for one of the characters that was sorely lacking some, so glad I picked it back up here. Looking foreword to the last 2 volumes.
