Michaela is an investigative reporter assigned to a case of a killer. With The Trophy Hunter forced to abandon his home and keepsakes, the police seem to be on his trail, but he has a connection to a mysterious person. When all paths converge, it takes everyone to the one place where it all began.

"My pieces I am constructing, my art, is so I will never a have to be alone again.”

Upon selecting this book to read, I was looking for a gruesome thriller, and considering its length, the tone and plot did satisfy. Getting the Trophy Hunter’s POV provided for insight into his lonely and depraved mind. Also, the pace picked up as multiple characters had their own POV. Of course, I wonder who a certain powerful figure may be. Lastly, there was a plot element that definitely added to the shock value.

The Trophy Hunter is an eerie and atmospheric crime investigative with some twists that will keep you on our toes.

Emery Leeann is an amazing author.
PLEASE read trigger warnings for any of their books though. Seriously. These aren't lightheaded wholesome reads. But if you're into dark stuff, pick this up.. and all their other books, aha

This book is short, but packs a punch. I wasn't able to find book 1 in this series, but it sounds like it wasn't necessary to read book one to follow this one. I read it with no issue.

Check this one out, seriously.

Well now

Is this truly the end of VooDoo Lily series i certainly hope not. I feel there's a certain someone who deserves some revenge. And a sure as heck wouldn't mind reading about it.

Well worth the wait

I love these Voodoo Lily books. The author has created an evolving ecosystem of sexy horror around the titular BDSM club, through this series and her motorcycle club series.

I'm really pleased at how well this story reads. It's full of great characterization and a deftly handled romance in the wake of an awfully effective serial killer.

The ending was shocking, to say the least and will have ramifications to her other series! Can't wait for more!

Death and destruction

While not as bloody or as gorry as some of Emerys other books it's still totally creepy and full of death..
You never quite know what sort of death one of Emerys victims will suffer and The trophy Hunter was no different. The little book cross overs were a happy little surprise too.
