She seemed young, came across as nervous, flaky and lacking in focus. He was even less sure of her suitability as he sat opposite her imagining what she looked like naked.
By the end of the interview he had decided he would thank her for her time, cover her expenses and put as much distance between them as possible. That had been the plan, right up until the point where he introduced her to his mother as Charlotte's nanny. Maybe it would be okay. Or maybe it wouldn't, judging by the crackle in the air between them and the burn he felt when he touched her.

Away from writing I work in the public education system and am a wife and mother of two. We share our home in the UK with a very spoilt and pampered cat and dog who truly rule the roost.
I have a passion for romance, reading and writing it. The stories I write ooze chemistry, sensuality, love and sex. However, they do not shy away from uncomfortable subject matter such as death, violence, unhappy marriages and abusive relationships making them suitable for an adult audience.
It is my hope to portray relatable characters who are three dimensional with redeeming qualities, flaws and room for growth that readers learn to love as the story develops.
Disaster-in-Waiting is my first self-published book that has evolved from dozens of previously written stories, many unfinished and the thousands of books I have read. I am incredibly proud of the story it tells and honestly believe I have written a story I would want to read.

I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did! Enjoyed both FMC & MMC. There were a few unexpected details that really made the plot more well rounded. Overall, a really fun read!

This is the first book by Elle that I have read. Her characters are well developed and the world they live in is so well described - I felt I was right there. I enjoyed the humor, friends, banter and relationships with Charlotte, Seb, Gabe's parents and Granny. I was sad at time and furious and scared. There is drama, fear, new friends, like to lust to love. Lots of steam and a HEA. A very good book and I look forward to reading the next one.

All the feels
Oh man! This book had me hooked from the first page!
Gabe and Carrie just had an instant fire! I love all the characters and their relationships of love, friends and family!
There are moments that make you laugh, moments that make you cry and moments that make you gasp for breath!
Such a great read and now I really need book 2 to hurry up and get released!!

' For the book boyfriends and those of us that love '
I was gifted this lovely book, when I saw ' Single Dad ' I knew I had to read this ASAP.
Gabe and Carrie's relationship is a tough one, nothing ever seems to be straightforward and life constantly seems to be throwing them off course.
LOVED, that is was written in British English! The slang made me feel like books are no longer just a fantasy but can become a reality. I am so used to reading books based in the US so this was so refreshing as a British reader!
I was heartbroken once Gabe told Carrie about his past. Two souls with troubled past's coming together.
I would have loved for it to be a slightly bit longer, and have Charlotte more involved as although she was. The Nanny side just wasn't as noticed, it was definitely more focused on the couple as whole. I would have also loved to see more into the future of the family. That being said, a really nice read. ( I definitely have a soft spot for Uncle Seb... so will probably read Pinky Promise.)

I wanted to read this book for so long before I bought it last year at a book signing then it's sat on my shelves until last week. The wait was worth while tho I wasn't disappointed at all. Gabe is so sweet he falls hard and fast for the young nanny but vows to stay away from her and send her packing but then offers her the job much to his mother and his own surprise. Carrie is just the most loveliest of people. She knows what she want and she wants her boss. They both have baggage that they use as a shield to ward off the opposite sex. But nothing can stop the force of each other . Just when you think that's it's HEA done, your wrong. This story isn't without drama and tension and Trouble with a capital T.

As a nanny myself I’m always intrigued by stories involving nannies. This one is a familiar premise, but told in a great way. It has a lot packed into its pages.
We have the ‘will they, won’t they?’ part, but the author also adds in secrets from the past for both of the main characters. Add into the mix unwanted attention from someone else and the story becomes so much more than I first thought. A great read and I immediately bought the next book in the series which features characters we meet in this book.

This was a 3.5 star read for me. I didn't care for the writing style at first and it took me a while to get into, but it got better as it went on. Though I didn't love the whole Toby storyline.
I enjoyed the interactions between Gabe and his daughter and Carrie and his daughter. And I couldn't help but laugh at Gabe's grandma and everything that was said when she thought he was her husband.

This book had a slow start for me but once I got into it, my mind was blown on how breath takingly powerful this love story ended up being.
A lot of pain, fears and plenty of steam to keep you on your toes. Charming sweet moments, to give you the lovey dovey family vibes. What a journey we get taken on and I was routing for their happily ever after all the way through.
Amazing story telling by one talented author. I highly recommend this book!

Really good loved it
This book was so funny at times what with Gabes daughter Charlotte and his grandmother. The story kept me very Interested from start to finish.
Loved the chemistry between Gabe and Carrie and the background stories with both of them was extremely sad. New author to me and looking forward to the next book.

This was a good book. I do think that the beginning scene felt very abrupt. I think a little more to lead to that scene would have been better and made me feel less like I had missed a chapter or two. Other than that, this was a cute story that ended up having deep emotions. The chemistry was there and I loved the interactions with Charlotte.

Fantastic book
Not only is there 🥵🥵🥵 scenes 😜😜, but the things that an old lady comes out with and the delightful little 3 year old Charlotte will have you in stitches 🤣

I downloaded it when it was free a while back. Enjoyed reading this story. The MCs had amazing chemistry and little Charlotte is adorable! Seb had me intrigued, so I will surely be checking out his story in the future :)
Gabriel's backstory also broke my heart, but so did Carrie's. So happy they found each other :)

Elle M Thomas is a new to me author but after reading and devouring this book i just know it wont be my last read by her.
I was pretty much hooked within reading the first few pages.
Gabriel and Carrie meet at an interview for a nanny position for Gabriels daughter Charlotte.. but that's not the only position he wants her as 😉
The instant connection and chemistry between the characters on fire!
This story has it all.. deep emotions in their back stories, so much love, lots of fun/ banter and laughter especially with Charlotte and dear old Granny and alot of steaminess throughout too.
Loved the friendship between Gabriel and Seb too!
Definitely a feel good swoonworthy read!
Onto Sebs book next!

holy man this was a big nope. wasn’t very long so i finished it. but man too many different tropes, both sides lying and then it being resolved all in back to back chapters. the i had a bad childhood my mom was a drug addict and sex worker but then i went into foster care and got adopted by good parents but they died not long after. like just one big dramatic thing after another. and the i met this other nanny one time while we were jay the same place with the kids we nanny but now we are best friends. like ok.

September 10, 2020[did not finish] read 2 chapters and lost interest. the start-off wasn't very good, it was a very random scene of "interviewing nanny" scene. probably to match the plot i suppose, but i wasn't intrigued because it felt sudden. also, the characters keep talking and answering themselves, a little annoying.

Absolutely brilliant
Loved this story. Enjoyed finding another British author. This book was hot as hell but also funny as hell. I loved grandma and seb, thought they brought much needed light entertainment while the leading pair sizzled off the page.

Elle M Thomas is a new author to me, who I can’t wait to meet in March, so I thought I would start with the Nanny Chronicles, taking a step away from my dark romance.
As I started this book I felt something was not right the relationship and sexual chemistry between the two main characters Carrie and Gabriel was very fast in developing. It didn’t hold it much hope, felt disappointed and did consider not finishing the book.
I am so glad to kept reading this got sooo much better, the story line thickened and became more apparent. I felt the development of Gabriel’s character was really good, for a single dad to let his walls down and be open to possibilities would do him and his daughter good.
Charlotte is Gabriel’s daughter from his failed marriage. It is over halfway before you find out the story there and it is heartbreaking, but does explains why Gabriel is the way he is. This is a typical 3 yr old with lots of questions, and her inquisitive mind is so funny.
I laughed out loud at parts, “(Do you remember Paris in ‘78”)😂😂and had to read the end chapters twice as the first time I cried I couldn’t make out the words.
Now I am really looking forward to reading about Carries best friend Bea with Gabriel’s best friend Seb.
