Are you someone who bought an air fryer to cook healthier fried meals, and then relegated it to just french fries (that’s so not me—I use it for tater tots)? Or did you get one as a gift and not know what to do with it? I know that it can do more than make chicken tenders and potato products, but I’m missing the path that gets me from where I am to where I want to be. But I’m thinking that Linda Larsen might be able to help me.

Larsen, a recipe developer with over 40 cookbooks to her name, has written a new cookbook about how to get there, to get to the point where you are making a Classic Roast Chicken, Shrimp Risotto, or Steak Fajitas in the air fryer you got just to make better chicken tenders.

The Everyday Favorites Air Fryer Cookbook has everything you need to get started with your air fryer, from a listing of equipment you’ll need and things to stock in your pantry and fridge to information on different oils you can use to the seven secrets of perfect frying. And then there are over 100 recipes for any meal you’re craving.

Are you looking for breakfast? Try the Coffeecake Muffins, Raspberry-Stuffed French Toast, Crunchy Nut Granola, or Veggie Frittata. Looking for a snack? You can make Brie and Bacon Mini Tartlets, Curly Fries, Mini Blooming Onions, Shrimp Cashew Egg Rolls, or Individual Spinach Dip Bread Bowls. Need a side for dinner? Consider the Twice-Baked Potatoes, Roasted Garlic Brussels Sprouts, Asparagus in Puff Pastry, Mexican Sweet Corn, or Honey-Roasted Acorn Squash.

Thinking of something fishy? Try the California Fish Tacos, Salmon en Papillote, Classic Fish ‘n’ Chips, Shrimp Scampi, or Lemony Sea Scallops. Craving something fowl? Go for the Sesame Chicken, Classic Fried Chicken, Turkey Breast with Berry Glaze, or Parmesan Chicken Tenders. Or for more meat, make the Swedish Meatballs, Pork Medallions in Mustard Sauce, Bagel Pizzas, Savory Baby Back Ribs, or Salisbury Steak Burgers.

And let’s talk desserts. There are recipes for Molten Chocolate Cakes, Fried Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Cheesecake Cups, Chocolate Chip Pie, Lemon Bars, Carrot Cake, or a Roasted Pear Tart.

The recipes are have lots of information, from prep time and cooking time to ideas on adding more flavor to nutritional information per serving. Many of the recipes are Family Favorites, or 30-Minute, or Gluten-Free. And there are even “cheat sheet” charts of frying times for many of the most popular fresh and frozen ingredients, along with suggestions about how to get even better flavor from them.

Using an air fryer offers ease and convenience and delicious foods that are healthier than traditional frying. But only if you use it. And if you need ideas and inspiration to get you from point A to point B, then grab a copy of the Everyday Favorites Air Fryer Cookbook and learn how to make the most of the French fry machine that takes up space on your counter.
