An unexpected partnership leads two wolves to reconsider everything they know...
Alpha werewolf Harley Grant isn't exactly comfortable with her inner wolf. Even though she's on a STAT Team where she can use her abilities because her teammates know about her, she refuses to do so, putting herself and sometimes them at risk.
Alpha werewolf Sawyer Bishop would give anything for his M16 Team to know about his inner wolf, but his teammates are mistrustful of anyone or anything with inhuman abilities. When he meets Harley on an overlapping case and realizes she's a fellow wolf, he's more than a little intrigued.
Now that STAT and MI6 have to team up to stop a crew of supernatural bad guys intent on causing a nuclear meltdown, Harley can no longer deny her wolf and Sawyer can no longer hide his. As they grow closer to resolving the case and grow closer to each other, they discover things aren't what they seem and revenge could cost them their lives.
Paige Tyler is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of sexy, romantic suspense and paranormal romance. She and her very own military hero (also known as her husband) live on the beautiful Florida coast with their adorable fur baby (also known as their dog). Paige graduated with a degree in education, but decided to pursue her passion and write books about hunky alpha males and the kick-butt heroines who fall in love with them.
Undercover Wolf by Paige Tyler is riveting, suspenseful, and heart-pounding. It combines supernatural suspense, paranormal romance, and action-adventure in a thrilling novel that is the second book in the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team series. It also takes the reader on an international journey from France to Morocco to Greece and back to France. The reader is immediately plunged into the action and drawn into the story line.
In this story, supernatural beings are known to a few, but not all humans. As with humans, some supernatural beings are criminals and the United States has put together a team of supernatural beings and humans to deal with these criminals domestically as well as internationally. Harley Grant is an alpha werewolf and a member of STAT. Her team is looking for clues to lead them to kidnappers or their captives. They’ve received intelligence that there is a human trafficking ring operating in Paris.
Meanwhile alpha werewolf Sawyer Bishop works for MI6. His team doesn’t know that he is a supernatural and they don’t trust those that are. When a MI6 case overlaps that of STAT, Harley and Sawyer end up having to work together.
Both main characters have their flaws that made them seem more real. Whether it is loneliness, afraid of not being accepted by others, or not accepting themselves for what they are, there is an undercurrent of self-growth amidst the action, suspense, and slowly developing romance. The author does a great job of world-building. I was able to easily visualize the settings, especially Paris. There are several twists to the story and it deals with important themes of prejudices, human trafficking, murder, revenge, terrorism, trust, and much more. Since there are several recurring characters in the book, it helps to read the series in order. That way, a reader is not learning all of the secondary characters at once, but gradually over time. This story was so full of action and excitement that it kept me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. I was kept fully invested in the mission becoming a success. My one quibble is that the ending was wrapped up a little too quickly.
Overall, this book was fast-paced, action-oriented, and entertaining. If you enjoy action thrillers with some romance that have both strong male and female characters set in a world where supernatural beings exist, then this may be the series for you. I can’t wait to find out what is next, whether it is another series or this one.

Undercover Wolf by Paige Tyler Book 2 of the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team. A spin-off of the SWAT series. Paranormal werewolf shifter romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but characters from the first book are part of the team in this book. Hailey Grant is a member of the special team sent to France to investigate a series of kidnappings of supernaturals. Hailey is surprised to meet another werewolf on the MI6 team but they work well together when the threat turns to gunfire.
Large cast of characters from the STAT and MI6 teams and extra support. I had trouble keeping up with them all at times. Hailey switched from could shift, to couldn’t, to could in her memories so many times I was confused. It took me half the book to be clear about her issues.
Fast based action with romance on the run. Sawyer, the hero, was steady and the strong silent type. The secondary characters were intriguing with amusing traits. I’m guessing we will see more of them in this expanding supernatural world and I’m looking forward to getting their stories. Especially Caleb. A romping rollercoaster ride.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I’ve also purchased a copy to share.
I love all of Paige Tyler's werewolf books because they are so much more than a typical paranormal. The creative way she describes each characters' origin story and how they stumble upon their, "One," keeps me coming back for more. Harley and Sawyer have tons of chemistry and of course they are brave enough to save the world. Another winner from Tyler.
Was I hooked by that book? Yes. As usual, the action and chemistry between the characters drew me in.
This is book two of the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team Series.
Harley has been a wolf for a while now and she enjoys her job as part of the STAT team. But she has never fully engaged her wolf abilities. She can't shift and her senses don't work as well as her teammates'. Her wolf is brought to the forefront more and more as she has to work closely together with a team from MI6, with werewolf Sawyer in the lead. Sawyer loves being a werewolf, but he has been hiding this from his team. Working with another wolf team makes it increasingly harder for him to keep his wolf-half hidden.
I liked Sawyer, right from the start. He knows who he is, and he is completely in sync with his werewolf, he's just scared to share it with the rest of his team.
The connection between Harley and Sawyer is clear straight away. And it only grew as they continued to work together. The two of them just felt so natural together and they fit together well as a couple.
There is the usual nail-biting action and great chemistry that I have come to expect from this series. I can highly recommend this series and the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series that is related to it. I think it's best to read them in order, but not strictly necessary.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is an excellent book. I fell into it and the world went away. The diverse teams bring something different to the story. Having a bad guy intent on revenge isn't new. The revenge he choose to go for is. Great world building and Caleb is really a hoot. I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley and freely leave this honest review.
‘Undercover Wolf’ starts off with a bang and takes off from the start, plunging you straight into the action as multiple agencies and their people start crossing wires over the bad guys. There’s the race to uncover more before the insidious roots lead to a point of no return, a race from exotic locale to another exotic locale to counter human/supernatural trafficking—all the typical ingredients of a suspense movie pumped full with characters whose abilities go beyond the normal moving around within covert circles doing covert things.
As a follow-up from her SWAT series, Paige Tyler’s STAT series is a bit more amped up…and a lot more reckless fun.
Within this larger framework, there’s the pairing of Harley Grant and Sawyer Bishop, 2 alphas who are immediately drawn to each other (thanks to Tyler’s theory of a werewolf finding his/her fabled soulmate) even though both of them suppress part of their true selves in various ways for varying reasons.
Sawyer exemplifies the werewolf who has yet to come out of the closet and it’s a dynamic that is definitely new, as the fear of judgement, or introducing a supernatural element to an established circle of colleagues or friends is certainly a daunting one. Paige Tyler goes down this route just a little, but it’s thankfully more than just the teenage spiel of ‘finding yourself and your identity’, but rather, a gentle, brief look as well as the notions of monstrosity and acceptance.
Non-stop action however, laterally drives the plot and keeps the pages turning rather than the lows and highs of character-introspection, so the one-true-pairing of Harley and Sawyer comes together without much of a hitch or angst. This, at its most basic, is this series’s defining trademark, and one that can get a little fatigued after finding its nth iteration in this story, as easy to read as it might be.
Tyler’s ever-expanding werewolf universe now includes a host of other creatures of supernatural abilities and I’m quite chuffed about reading about this widening and intriguing network of to-quite human beings (vampires are the stinky, dead-eyed ones here, nothing like the seductive bleached-whiteness and ethereal beauty found in the Twilight series).
It’s messy, bewildering at times and a little too convoluted too, but coming out of it, I guess what I’m really hoping to see going forward from here is for Tyler to move past the pairings of werewolf with human/another werewolf and to bend the more established lines she’d been going at for a while.
Undercover Wolf is the second book in Paige Tyler’s new supernatural series called STAT. This series is a spin-off from Paige’s other supernatural series about a werewolf SWAT Team. I have read all of the books in SWAT as well as both STAT books. Paige continues to deliver on everything that makes the supernatural intriguing. There’s plenty of action, mystery, suspense, and romance.
Undercover Wolf focuses on STAT agent Harley Grant and MI6 agent Sawyer Bishop. They are both werewolves who cross paths while their respective teams are investigating a human trafficking ring. These criminals and their victims are not all normal. There are vampires, shape-shifters, a mermaid, and plenty of other supernatural creatures that will definitely catch you by surprise. Technically, this book could be read as a stand-alone but you will get a more comprehensive experience if you at least read the first STAT book, Wolf Under Fire. Sawyer and Harley hit it off immediately and their attraction builds throughout the entire book. Paige does a great job of weaving in a lot of life lessons about family and forgiveness in all of her books and this one is no different. On top of that, just like any good novel about law enforcement, there is plenty of fighting, shooting, and more fighting except these creatures don’t go down easily.
I love how Paige continues to reinvent the supernatural that we all grew up with. She makes you really examine your understanding of the myths about werewolves, vampires, and the like. It makes it very difficult to even come close to knowing what will happen next which really adds to the mystery. Each book is always better than the last and I have yet to be disappointed.
**Received a copy of the book from the publisher and voluntarily reviewed it.**
My favorite series of Paige's is her SWAT series, which I think is fantastic. The STAT spin-off series is ramping up to be just as great. It incorporates all the elements I love in the SWAT series and adds world travel. YAY! Undercover Wolf is the second book in the series and kinda picks up a bit after the first book. I really enjoy the interaction with the secondary characters, it makes the narrative "pop".
Harley and Sawyer meet up on a stake-out, and end up rescuing each other. They are from 2 different law enforcement groups and must learn to work together. They travel the world to break up an international kidnapping ring. Of course, along the way they fall in love.
Great characterizations and a kick-ass plot make a fast paced interesting story, that takes you on a wild ride. Hopefully in the next book we can meet up with some more of the different paranormals.
Received as an ARC from Netgalley and SourceBooks. Thank you.
The second STAT book has the team going to their very limits to save countries and themselves. The paranormal world has gotten past scary to terrifying. The STAT team works along with MI6 to stop a grade A psychopath and his crazed minions from his twisted deeds. Woven into this story is the heated sexual attraction between Harley and Sawyer and their individual lives. The banter between them and the group adds depth and laugh out loud moments.
Undercover Wolf is a fast paced procedural that takes us all over the world in search of human/supernaturals trafficking. This story delves into the nature of family and acceptance. Sawyer and Harley couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I loved this installment. Even though this is part of a series each book can be read and enjoyed standalone.
Hidden. So many of us keep parts of ourselves hidden. Alpha Harley Grant doesn't let her inner wolf out, believing its not possible, She is still a valued and trusty member of STAT and when they are overseas, finding themselves working with MI6 she is drawn to Sawyer. Sawyer who keeps his werewolf status hidden from his teammates. Book 2 in the STAT series can be read as a stand alone but I think one would appreciate all the new nasty paranormals if book 1 is read first. Paige Tyler opens a whole new realm of paranormals that are really out there, the possibilities of where we are headed are astronomical. This book has action, suspense and romance, intrigue, and paranormals that can do wonderous things, but also evil. There is treachery and the knowledge one will do almost anything to protect family. I am enthralled with this new expanded paranormal world Paige has taken us too, It is mind boggling! Thank you for the arc Sourcebooks Casablanca, Paige Tyler and NetGalley, I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.
If James Bond was a Werewolf and if James Bond and he fell in love with a equally kick up and taking names female James Bond Werewolf. Undercover wolf is a fast pace adrenalin pumping, alpha male romance. It has everything evil laree, evil henchmen that never seem to die, sexy scenes and happy ending. If readers enjoy supernatural romance, sexy scenes, beautiful, tall people with guns and bombs? Undercover Wolf is you dream comes true.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Paige Tyler Undercover Wolf.
Two people on the same team could cost other people their lives if they don't open up to others and themselves what they really are. A storm is brewing and they all, human and not have to come together and trust each other to beat the enemy. I just reviewed Undercover Wolf by Paige Tyler. #NetGalley
How do you coordinate 2 teams, STAT with MI6, when MI6 doesn't know of the existence of supernatural beings? Uneasily, that's how. Someone is kidnapping supernaturals off the streets and selling them at auction. STAT needs the help of an MI6 team who's dealt with some of those involved, but unfortunately sees supers as monsters. They don't realize the leader of their team Sawyer Bishop is a werewolf. He turned 8 years ago saving his team in a FUBAR situation that should have killed him. While recovering on his own he gained control of his new strengths and kept them hidden from his team.
Harley Grant is the Alpha of her team but because of her past, has suppressed her werewolf. She went full wolf once with her family and they disowned her not understanding who and what she was. When she meets Sawyer she recognizes his wolf but her whole team quickly realizes Sawyer's team doesn't know he is one. As they try to work together to locate the kidnapping ring it's an uneasy association. Harley and Sawyer quickly realized they are drawn to each other but neither realize the other is The One. Teammate Caleb finally spells it out for them and he's usually the clueless one being an Omega werewolf.
I loved watching this story unfold. We dig for a while trying to find clues seeing the team getting ambushed over and over by the bad guys. We discover there's a leak somewhere in the system. The teams learn to work with each other. Truths come out causing soul searching within, making individuals have to decide where their trust and loyalties lie. Eventually a past evil returns and must be dealt with. Along the way Harley and Sawyer unite with explosive chemistry. This is a fun adventure.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Harley is a member of STAT and been a werewolf for eight years. She’s not close to her wolf and while the team she’s on are supernatural, Harley’s won’t come out. The team is in Paris looking for a human trafficking ring when they run into another team there. Sawyer is with MI6 and his fellow team members don’t know he’s a werewolf. So the two teams join up to take down the trafficking ring. With Harley and Sawyer being thrown together and trying to ignore the heat between them. Harley finds out that Sawyer could be The One, but they have to wait until after the mission to really sit down and talk. Can they stop a madman intent on destroying them and hundreds of thousands of people?
So very good. Non stop action. Werewolves and other supernatural characters. Evil men. And characters I fell in love with.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
Fans of the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team will want to pick up this new series from Ms. Tyler. STAT which stands for Special Threat Assessment Team appears to be in the same world, a different type of covert team. This is book two and I want to now go back and pick up the first book. Whilst there is a bit of romance in this story and a good amount of sexy scenes, the story is really more suspense which I enjoyed.

This is book 2 of a fun and exciting paranormal romantic suspense series!
Harley Grant is a werewolf, but she's not really in touch with her wild side, after a traumatic experience caused her to suppress her wolf. She's an agent on the STAT team, and she's still getting used to all the team dynamics, especially when her wolf senses are dulled most of the time. There are 2 other werewolves on the team, and she envies the ease they have with their wolves. They're on a mission in France, when she catches the scent of another wolf and it's the best thing she's ever smelled, attached to the most beautiful man she's ever seen. Lucky for her, he's a good guy too!
Sawyer Bishop is an MI6 agent. He's also a werewolf, though no one on his team knows that, and he'd like to keep it that way. But, on a mission in France, he runs into Harley, and he's hooked. He's thrilled when the bosses say that his MI6 team will be working with STAT on the case, but he's worried that he won't be able to hide his wolf any more when they're hunting other supernatural creatures. Will his team accept him and his wolf, or will they turn their backs on him?
Sawyer and Harley had an instant connection, in a way they had never felt connected to another person before. It was hard for them to get time together to figure stuff out, with everything that was going on with the investigation, but they were constantly drawn to each other and stole time where they could. I loved the ways they both fully embraced the draw they felt, and wanted to explore it together.
I enjoyed getting to see the other STAT team members again here, and I'm excited for Caleb's story next! They really are a family/pack, and I love how they all care for each other. There was a bit of a different dynamic within the MI6 team. Sawyer had good reason to think that his team couldn't handle his truth, and watching them deal with everything was an interesting contrast.
The suspense plot here kept me guessing about what would happen next, and the bad guys were REALLY BAD, which was great. It got a bit bananas at some points, but that just made it more fun. Since our good guys are supernatural, they can take a lot of hits and keep on pushing, so it was always exciting. The werewolf mythology in this series is unique, and I loved learning more about it in this story.
I adored both Sawyer and Harley as characters, and I'm excited to peek in on them through the rest of the series! They really made sense as a couple, and watching accept their feelings, and figure out their stuff like grownups was so great. I'm looking forward to book 3!

Undercover Wolf by Paige Tyler is the 2nd book in her STAT (Special Threat Assessment Team) series. The STAT series is sort of a spin off from Tyler’s SWAT series. The STAT team is assigned unsolvable cases, which will include supernatural creatures.
Undercover Wolf starts with a bang, as the STAT team is in a Paris nightclub investigating a trafficking ring, when they are surprised that another group, M16 is also on this same mission. We meet Harley, a member of STAT, who is a werewolf, as is some of other members of their team; she ends up helping Sawyer, one of the M16 leaders, who is also a werewolf. Both teams will agree to work together to stop the ring, made up of supernatural criminals. The STAT members notice that Sawyer is a werewolf, but the M16 team has no idea, and Sawyer is determined to keep it quiet, since he is not sure how his team would react.
Once the teams work together to investigate the ring, it becomes obvious that there is more to the trafficking ring and the kidnappings of supernatural beings. When some of their teammates on other assignments are murdered, it becomes apparent that someone in the past is out for revenge, and using supernatural people to kill, causing chaos and destruction. Sawyer recognizes the leader as someone they thought was dead, but now the enemy has become ultra-powerful, and increasing difficult to stop.
What follows is an action packed, non-stop, exciting thriller that held me on the edge of my seat throughout, unable to put the book down. There were so many dire situations that had the team in danger, with their lives hanging by a thread. Both Harley and Sawyer had issues with their family not knowing or accepting what they were. Harley never used her ability to bring out her wolf; will she finally use it to save Sawyer? I loved that over a short period of time, Harley and Sawyer began to have strong feelings and the chemistry between them sizzled; soon they will realize that maybe their relationship is the ‘One’, destined to each other (a werewolf legend). They were so great together, and also a great couple. I also thought the STAT team members were awesome; Caleb, Jake, Jen, Misty, Forest.
Undercover Wolf was an exciting, action packed non-stop adventure from start to finish, with great secondary characters, and a great couple. The villains were evil, violent and fully dangerous, with amazing supernatural abilities that were difficult for the team to fight against. So many times, I held my breath to see who would survive. Once again Paige Tyler gives us another fantastic story, which I cannot wait to see what she has in store of us next. I wholly suggest you read this series.
This was my first book from Paige Tyler, but it definitely won't be my last!
I enjoyed Sawyer and Harley's story. Both werewolves with intelligence/special ops backgrounds, and neither is completely comfortable with who they are--him because his teammates don't know about his other identity (they don't even know they exist, in fact), and her because she has repressed hers and hasn't shifted since her family kicked her out for her "otherness" eight years ago.
There is a bit of instant attraction here--explained in part by Harley's teammate Caleb's "The One" theory (AKA fated mates trope) and the I love yous come a bit fast, though their paranormal status and the stress of the suspense portion of the book make it feel fairly believable. Speaking of the suspense, I found it well done, with an appropriate bad bad guy and some henchmen with rather interesting paranormal abilities. Dare I hope that one former henchperson return for Caleb's book? ;)
Overall, I really enjoyed my first venture into Ms Tyler's supernatural world. Undercover Wolf is the second book in her STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team series, but you don't have to have read book one to enjoy this one. Prior knowledge of the world that the author has created here, though, might be helpful (I assume it's similar to if not the same as her other paranormal series?) because she definitely has a slightly different take on supernaturals than I was used to, and the overall "rules" of her universe aren't really laid out until you're pretty far into the book. It didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story, but it did have me a bit confused for a while.
Book 1 (Wolf Under Fire) is on my TBR; my goal is to get to it before the next one comes out!
Rating: 4 stars / A-
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Harley's US STAT team was working with MI6 for the first time. The Brits weren't excited about working with the US team but to find they had to work with a team of "monsters" werewolves--too much. A major bad guy was dealing with supernaturals and planning a nuclear disaster.
Sawyer had kept his secret of being a werewolf from his Team. Now that the others were revealed and the MI6 group had shown their feelings he was glad he had kept quiet and wondered if he could keep it that way. His attraction to Harley made it even more difficult.
The mission was dangerous. Would their growing feelings for each get in the way?
An exciting read with amazing characters, secrets revealed, loyalty tested, lots of action, steam, some comic relief-- A story you won't forget or want to end.
After Wolf Under Fire, I promised I would try the next part of the STAT series, before giving up on this series. And I'm glad I did! As I mentioned, in the STAT series (compared to the SWAT-series), the focus is less on hunky werewolves and more on other supernatural beings. Fortunately Undercover Wolf has enough werewolf funkiness and less darkness than Wolf Under Fire. Jake's team from the previous part is thrown together with the MI6 team (yep secret service, with British dialogue, whoohoo!). When Sawyer's werewolf gene was activated during a mission gone wrong four years ago, he decided not to tell his MI-6 team he became a werewolf out of fear of being rejected. And when he sees his team mates reactions when they are forced to work together with the STAT-team, he is glad that he hasn't come clean. Hayley may be a werewolf, but her instincts are severely lacking. As much as her love life. So, she is very surprised when she and Sawyer hit it off instantly. Together with their teams, they try to find out what the bad guys are after. Which is a bit tricky, when their mission is compromised. Since the STAT-team and the MI-6 team already had some trust issues. Now everybody becomes a suspect. So, in all, a very good read. Full of suspense, twists and turns and a lot of fun. Caleb, the omega, who might be a bit unstable, is an absolute hoot. I'm rooting for him in the next part of this series. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
This one is better than the previous opus in the STAT series. The story is about friendship as much as about love or suspense, and it was interesting seeing how the hero's partners deal with him being a werewolf. The plot was intriguing, as once again we see more and more different supernatural beings. I can't wait to read more about some of them.
Alpha werewolf Harley Grant never uses her wolfy gifts, so they are not as strong as they could be. She works with an organization that knows what she is, and with others like her. When a trafficking ring they are working to stop is found in Paris they find they're not the only ones chasing them.
Sawyer Bishop has hidden his Alpha werewolf abilities from the team he works with. When they find themselves on the same mission as the American team, it becomes harder to hide what he is.
This is an action packed paranormal romance that hardly gives you time to draw breath. The missions they will face cost many lives but not as many as they will save. One team learns there is much more in their world than they ever knew. How they handle that knowlage is the key to success or failure.
Undercover Wolf is book 2 in the STAT: Special Threat Assessment Team by Paige Tyler. The story centres around Alpha werewolf Harley Grant and Alpha werewolf Sawyer Bishop who are thrown together due to their jobs overlapping with one another. The story follows them as they travel around the world trying to beat the bad guys and save the day as they both figure out who they can trust.
Like previous Paige Tyler books, this one is full of action, suspense and passion. Both the characters are instant hits with me! I enjoyed reading about their journey as well as them juggling their increasingly dangerous jobs and their relationship with each other. I love the paranormal element of Paige Tyler books, which definitely makes her a one click author for me.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
✦Review: UNDERCOVER WOLF (STAT Book 2) by Paige Tyler https://wp.me/p3d0RZ-bNV Publication Date: May 25, 2021 Genre: Paranormal Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated: 4.5 Stars
I found this STAT installment to be fast paced and exciting from page one. International intrigue, mystery, danger, and a variety of new paranormals to make things interesting. Although the extent of their globetrotting seemed excessive for the situations, it did make for fun reading and gave time for the romance to blossom.
Harley’s continued issue about shifting bothered me. She had been with STAT long enough to be comfortable in a pack, so I couldn’t reconcile her hang-up with her strength of character. Thankfully, I liked everything else about her. She made a great match for Sawyer. Both were strong and accomplished yet yearning for more and not sure what that more was. Sawyer was a handsome Alpha in MI6 – I could easily imagine his delicious accent as he worked operations or seduced Harley. It was nice that although they were clearly “the one” for each other, they took the time to let their relationship build instead of either fighting it or surrendering to it. That gave the romance a nice depth. There wasn’t a lot of sexy time (what there is, was hot!), but with the story blending in, it worked just fine for me.
This is a romantic globe-trotting, special agent wild ride from beginning to end. Loved it.

Loved it! This series continues to get better & better. I love Harley & Sawyer chemistry and connection with each other. The action & suspense is page turning magic. Caleb is a hoot and I love the humor he sprinkles throughout the book. I cannot wait for the next one.
Undercover Wolf (ebook) by Paige Tyler STAT book two
Alpha werewolf Harley Grant (STAT) and Alpha werewolf Sawyer Bishop (MI6) This is their story .. They are both on a mission and their missions cross and the two teams start working together. This book has violence, deceit, pure evil, lots of supernatural beings, team members, angst, plenty of action and steam getting us to their HEA and leaving us wanting a book three.
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Wonderful characters Tear-jerker Twisted Unpredictable Easy-to-read Steamy Great world building Romantic Entertaining Scary Funny Happily Ever After Haunting Page-turner Action-packed Tragic
Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of UNDERCOVER WOLF (STAT paranormal romance series book 2) by Paige Tyler in exchange for an honest review. Harley Grant only ever wanted to be normal, so she never put any real effort into developing her alpha werewolf talents; instead, she actively suppressed all of her supernatural traits; as a result, her knowledge of werewolves and her abilities are stunted. Harley and the rest of the STAT team are currently investigating a kidnapping ring involving supernatural criminals and possibly supernatural victims. When an anonymous tip leads the team to a night club, they run into an MI-6 team investigating the same series of kidnappings. Though the team leader Sawyer Bishop is also an alpha werewolf, the rest of the team are completely mundane and seemingly ignorant of the supernatural world. The powers that be create a temporary joint taskforce merging the STAT and MI-6 teams, which requires the MI-6 team to be introduced to the true paranormal scope of the task ahead. Throughout the investigation, Harley and Bishop find themselves crazily attracted to each other. They must figure out whether their temporary team-up should become something more permanent or whether they should succumb to the forces prying them apart.
I liked this book and usually enjoy the writings of the author. I recommend this book to fans of paranormal romance featuring intrigue, kidnapping, criminals, and international investigations.
