i wish i was handed this in my first semester.
..would have saved me so many embarrassing questions.
..would have made me feel, as though what i was going through was a normal difficult process.
..would have made it clear that, it's natural for professors / advisers to say 'just write it up' as the book states,
when that process itself is an incredibly elaborate, complicated, and 'alien' ordeal.

grrr.

Really interesting short book on the ways in which qualitative research can be written up. Found the sections on constructing the storyline particularly interesting - they give a very clear outline of how to write a relevant literature review. Would recommend this book for anyone embarking on a longer qualitative study.
