'Bob Judd has done it again. What a great story! What an ingenious plot! He gets the high powered, high risk world of international motor racing exactly right...down to the last detail. Read it!'—MURRAY WALKERINDY is unusual. It's a powerful thriller, with the sensations and the champagne glamour of 230 mph race cars, a multi million dollar financial scam, sexy sex and rock and roll. But Bob Judd, the author of FORMULA ONE, also raises new and larger themes about power. About the power that controls the media and the banks. About the power that women hold over men...The story runs - with the speed of the tango orange and popeye green machines which lap at 220 mph - from Monte Carlo to Miami and New York City, from the Cayman Islands to Carefree, Arizona and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway...with an occasional side trip via satellite.

I’m motorsports fan, especially F1 so I wanted to like this book - I really did. I read Bob Judd’s first novel “Formula One” a few months ago and found it slightly underwhelming, but I had hopes that Judd would develop main character Forrest Evers and throughout the other books in the series we would be told about his racing career in more detail.

One of the most disappointing aspects of “Indy” is the fact that the motorsports element is no more than the backdrop for a rather insipid, far fetched, at times ridiculous story of financial wheeling and dealings in the media industry that have nothing whatsoever to do with the Indianapolis 500 or, indeed, any kind of sport. You get bored beyond belief leading through chapter after chapter describing a ludicrous plot to mount a fraudulent takeover of a TV station, eagerly expecting the next chapter will at least give you an insight into the high octane world of sports cars.

You can’t help feeling defrauded as all you get is a couple of chapters set in qualifying, whilst the actual Indy 500 (eventually) happens at the end of the book - and merits no more than half a dozen pages.

After finishing the book, I picked up my copy of “Formula One” and put both in a box destined to the local charity shop.

Indy (the follow up from Formula One) Bob Judd has written another epic fast paced action story on and off the track.
With his F1 seat at risk, Forest Evers has to do some dodgy but skilled dealings in order to find 12 million dollars. Having to miss out on the start of the new F1 season Forest gets the opportunity to enter the Indianapolis 500. In the process of trying to get 12 million to get his F1 seat back, he has to learn the ropes of the super speedway as well as the Indy car. 230 miles an hour only to be surrounded by a concrete wall, Forest Evers faces the challenge of his life. If you enjoyed formula one, you'll love this epic story.
