Fun fact:

“Discovered in the 18th century to be an effective treatment against malaria, quinine is what gives tonic water its distinctive bitter taste. Drinking it in soda water made it go down easier. Eventually, the British added gin to their medical quinine tonic water, creating the classic G&T cocktail.”

Entertaining presentation of scientific research and evidence. This is more of a Q&A than trivia, but it flows really well and provides a good bridge between the academic and public.
