Great introduction to ancient history for my kids 9 and under. Lots of illustrations including photographs of artifacts. The Roman book was the best one and so the kids want to study more about them.

Many of these history books are wonderful resources for introducing young children to ancient civilizations and other times. I love that my son will often pick these over story books. Unfortunately, a few of them are grossly inaccurate in assumptions made about man's origins (evolution/millions of years).
