The graphics are silly and help tell the story. I like that the graphics don't detract from the text. Children are able to clearly see the text on the page and still enjoy the images. On some pages there is white text on a grey background that is still readable, but we do find it slightly more difficult to see than the black text on the other pages. We are reading this book on a tablet so perhaps it's our colour settings.
This book is excellent for young readers. Each page contains short sentences and there is gentle repetition that won't overwhelm new readers.
Overall this is a fun story about the struggle of bedtime that both children and parents can relate too.
