Claira wants a normal life. A life millions of people have. Married to a small-town sheriff, with the dream of little ones one day running around and the close chosen family they have collected, only one thing is missing—some resemblance of a life where no one is out to get them. No crazies are crawling out of the woodwork, and no need for the alarm system Matt insists upon. A life where no one coming after them because of her father’s mostly illegal businesses, no more dodging bullets, no more abductions by the UPS man, and no more people zip-tied to the deck. Maybe even a dinner party where she doesn’t have to clean blood off the kitchen tiles. Her fairy tale life has one big thing standing in the way. She is the daughter of a mob boss. The not so little detail stands in the way of the life she wants. The only way to safely get him out is by finding someone to fill her father Sean’s shoes. The particular business he does will continue on with someone else at the helm. He will be free to finally marry her mother, Virginia, a wedding thirty years in the making. How hard could it really be? Just like taking out a help wanted ad only more discrete, right? The trick is finding someone who knows the risks and doesn’t mind a little bit of jail time should he or she get caught. Finding someone with a particular skill set, and someone his current clients will feel comfortable doing business is a lot to ask. Sean can leave that world behind without any of it following him is a challenge on its own.Claira’s hopes of a semi-normal life are held by a quickly thinning thread when an old enemy emerges, trying to take over Sean’s territory. Claira, her husband, Matt, and their chosen family find themselves in the crosshairs as they seek their revenge. Gaining help from someone inside Claira’s family, they are poised, desperate to wipe out obstacles they encounter, including the family itself. The only way out is to find a replacement before Sean’s past destroys them all.

I just can't get enough of this series. Not only is it action packed but the witty humor is superb. Just when I think this series can't possibly get better it most certainly does. Can't wait for the next adventure.
