5 - "Guess I’m not done saving you…" Stars!
Rebecca Zanetti begins her new Anna Albertini Files, series with an absolutely outstanding read. This book is something a little different from the author’s usual style with a female lead giving the whole story, and there was a lot going on to keep this reader on her toes.
Anna just starting out as a lawyer, and seems to have a knack for turning up at the right time to every wrong situation that you can imagine. This is a woman who gets a paper cut just from looking at a piece of paper the wrong way. It made for lots of adventures and gunshots in her quest to find out the truth about long time crush Aiden Devlin (LOVE HIM!), his involvement in the biker gang he seems to be an Enforcer for, the drugs that have flooded her home town and the bodies that are starting to pile up as she, her boss Nick Basanelli & Cop Grant Pierce get closer to the answers.
"Something doesn’t feel right about this…"
All three aforementioned guys are also potential love interests, but Aiden stole my heart, bad boy, dirty talker and arrogant enough to make this reader become as much aquiver as Anna was around him.
There was nothing sexier than a bad boy bent on seduction…
Lots of secondary characters and great world building made this book unputdownable, I cannot wait for book two; Bailed Out to be released in December, so I can carry on my love affair with this new series. Zanetti pretty much always delivers winning reads for me, but I have to admit I was a bit wary about this series when I first heard about it, I was soooooo wrong, she nailed it, I don’t often get book hangovers now but this one has left me with a banger!

Disorderly Conduct by Rebecca Zanetti
1st book in the Anna Albertini files series. Lawyer light mystery. The series will eventually include a romance but this book just brushed the topic lightly. It’s more a lawyer learning to investigate and quickly getting in all types of intriguing situations outside the office. She is also a modern female so yes, there is sex but the scenes are not extensive.
Reminded me just a bit of the Kathleen Turner series by Tiffany Snow.
Anna is a lawyer while Kathleen was a paralegal, but both women get bruised and beat up on a regular basis. I’m wincing just thinking of the next day soreness to follow.
Anna wants to consider herself a badass. In reality, she is a lawyer. She can dish it out as well as take it both physically and intellectually. She’s got a soft spot for the elderly, the good guys, the needy...ok basically anyone that she can help a little bit. She’s also best friends with her two sisters which I found touching. After reading the book, I think she is within her rights to consider herself a badass female. She gets the job done.
Overall a slight mystery adventure where Anna is trying to stop the distribution of drugs in her hometown.
I look forward to the continuation of this series and following Anna’s antics.

Disorderly Conduct is a brand new series and nothing like I have read from this author before. I had fun with this book.
The heroine was just a fun character to follow. She's like the girl next door who gets into the craziest situations. The men around her reacting to those crazy situations added to my enjoyment. There are also many side characters that added to the entertainment.
This first book isn't exactly clear on who the hero will be for the series. Well, I think it's clear, but the author did make it possible for two other characters. I get attached pretty quickly, so I'm hoping it will stay on this path. Who knows. The author could change my mind. I did like all three and I would love to see them all paired up with someone.
This doesn't end on a cliffhanger, however, it is clear there is more to come. I'm definitely looking forward to more.

Disorderly Conduct is classified as a romantic suspense. I would classify this as a hooking page-turner that’s fun and thrilling. Rebecca Zanetti launches yet another appealingly clever series balanced by wonderful characters and an exciting plot full of twists and turns I never saw coming.
➵ Heroine: Anna Albertini has been a prosecuting attorney for all of one month. She shouldn’t have been in District Court much less second chair in a drug case that promises to put her childhood hero behind bars and her new gorgeous boss one step closer to his political goals. Anna, might be green but she’s not pushover. Having survived a terrifying ordeal at the tender age of ten, she’s grown into a smart and independent woman.
➵ Hero: Anna has fantasized about Aiden Devlin since he saved her over a decade ago. Seeing him in cuffs and an orange jump suit doesn’t diminish his sexiness nor the fact that beneath his bad guy façade Anna sees the boy who saved her. But he’s not the only one who appreciates her appeal. There’s her sexy Italian boss and the attractive detective assigned to the case.
➵ Sexiness: With so much testosterone going on, there was bound to be sexy times, though these were of the fade to black category.
➵ Plot/Pace: Disorderly Conduct had me literally at the edge of my seat and it wasn’t only because of the excitement of wanting to know how Anna’s drug case unfolds or her love life develops. It was because Zanetti skillfully interweaves family and community, hilarity and poignancy into this thrilling story. I loved that I couldn’t figure who dunnit even though I absolutely goggled up all the bread crumbs that were left behind, and I can’t wait to read what’s next in Anna’s life.
➵ Facts Disorderly Conduct is book #1 of the Anna Albertini Files series by Rebecca Zanetti. As the series title indicates, these books will be all about Anna Albertini, and will be told in first person from her perspective. It’s a standalone because the mystery/case is solved even though her love life is still undecided.

I feel guilty.
It sucks.
But the suspense-romance combo with an accident prone heroine, a ridiculous plot and a cozy vibe? It rarely works for me.
This is my first book by this author and I definitely like her writing. I'll try another one of her books.

Anna Albertini has been a prosecuting attorney for all of one month. When her new boss is taken down by the DEA, she finds herself thrown into situations she was in no way prepared for. One such situation was appearing in District Court and to her surprise, the defendant is none other than the boy who saved her life years ago. How can her savior be the bad guy? And how can she help him in her capacity as an officer of the court?
While not entirely bogged down by a ton of legalese, there wasn't a time during this story that I wasn't reminded that Anna was an attorney. She was young and had that sense of invincibility that most young people have, which allowed her fervent curiosity to grow wings. She put herself in dangerous circumstances, constantly in the crosshairs of the criminals she was investigating, consistently coming to conclusions without all of the facts. She may have been an attorney, but because of her newness, she wasn't a great attorney. But that's to be expected. I remember when I started practicing law. I believed I could do it all too!
Aside from Anna, we meet a ton of characters who bring this small town to life... There's her new boss, Nico, who sounds like a chocolate sundae doused with caramel sauce (YUMMMMM). Then there's the investigating officer, Grant Pierce, who seems like the epitome of a silver fox. Then there's Aiden... the guy with a bit of a savior complex when it comes to Anna. I know there's a lot more to this guy than meets the eye and I'm excited to find out what he's all about. I'm seriously rooting for him. I had a hard time liking Anna for the fact that she was bouncing from one man to another like it was okay, even after sleeping with Aiden. If the hero of the story did this, readers would be in an uproar. It's not right for us to accept this behavior from the heroine. Meeting Anna's family was such a joy because not only are they close, but they are so different and yet so supportive and amazing. Despite the fact that this was a story told entirely from a single perspective (which I don't like), I still found so much to be entertained by. I'd still like to hear from someone else though.

This was fun to read, as promised, thanks to the author's considerable writing skill, but for me (and I seem to be in a distinct minority here) it suffered from some problems of believability that kept me from engaging with the characters to the extent that I would have liked. That's all the more surprising in light of the friendly "Note from the Author" that precedes page one, hinting strongly that this established romance novelist is taking a new direction by writing from personal experience as a lawyer in northern Idaho, where the main character, Anna Albertini, is a newly minted lawyer in the (fictional) county prosecutor's office.
Because she's only been on the job for a month, she's spared when the feds (DEA) invade the office, arrest the chief prosecutor Scot Peterson, and his temporary replacement Nick Basanelli fires all the other lawyers in the office. That leaves her working closely with Nick while the others reapply for their jobs--a sticky situation to say the least because a major person of interest in the drug enforcement case is Aidan Devlin, Anna's teenage heartthrob who saved her from a sick predator when she was ten years old and is now (1) out on bail on drug charges and (2) forcefully re-entering Anna's life.
So right from the beginning, I have faith that the plot has veered away from "write what you know" to a product of the author's rich imagination. Did it veer too far, with strong attractions between Anna and three men (Aidan, Nick, and Detective Pierce, who directs the county police's role in the investigation)? All three are clearly interested in her, and her first-person narration tells us how yummy they are, but apart from one sexual encounter the focus is mainly on the investigation--romance may well be waiting for us in the next book.
The action is exciting and well paced, although we're limited to Anna's point of view and there's a lot people don't tell her, especially about Aidan (could he be an undercover agent? Repeated denials from both Aidan and Nick). The suspense comes from wondering what the next surprise will be for Anna and how she's going to survive the life-threatening situations she keeps getting herself into, and that certainly made the book hard to put down.
Problems, then? The first thing that troubled me was one real-life detail: the psychopath who abducted her when she was ten got off on a technicality, disappeared successfully, and remained convinced she is his wife. Every year since then he has sent her a greeting in the mail that always arrives exactly on the anniversary of that day of horror. Postmarks are from different places, near and far. Even for local mail, I don't know whether the letter I mail will be delivered the next day or the day after; for distant locations in the U.S. it routinely takes two to five days. There's no way anyone can predict the date of delivery for ordinary mail. If it's priority mail, wouldn't Anna say so? I know, it's a quibble.
A bigger quibble, if you will: Anna gets shot more than once, falls out of a tree, and takes a lot of hits from bad guys, especially about the face, until in her words she turns into "one big bruise." She goes through most of the story looking like the classic photo of a battered wife, but men keep calling her "cute." Not just the ones who are attracted to her, either--even the bad guys and the good guys whose interests lie elsewhere. Her bruises somehow don't take her cuteness away and (for my taste) they elicit some concern from others but nowhere near enough concern.
She's just been admitted to the Idaho bar, and professional judgment comes mainly with experience, so I can (a little reluctantly) give her a pass on the way her professional and romantic lives are hopelessly entangled. And for those who consider a heroine who dashes into obvious danger to be TSTL (too stupid to live), it's clear that Anna still operates with a youth's sense of immortality, so when I think of myself at her age her risk-taking is realistic. But how about her boss Nick and Detective Pierce, let alone the nameless DEA agents? Where is their judgment in letting Anna anywhere near the investigation? Why does Nick expect her to join in the prosecution of Aidan when he knows even a little of their history? And if Nick and Pierce are feeling romantic, wouldn't those feelings make them even stricter about keeping her out of it?
Of course, then there would be no story, and we'd never enjoy Anna's wonderful extended family or her scenes with her autistic cousin Pauley. Truly those were the highlights of this novel, so the quality of writing and the warm human element compensate for a tangled plot.

This is an entertaining, well-written, fast paced, steamy romantic suspense novel. It has an intelligent, strong and capable female protagonist, mystery, intrigue, wit, and humor. The bond between sisters is heart-warming, and the male leads are hot and heroic. I am looking forward to reading the next entry in Ms. Zanetti's new, outstanding Anna Albertini Files series with great anticipation.

OMG un énorme coup de cœur !!
J'ai du mal à être objective parce que :
1) J'ai rencontré Rebecca il y a deux ans à la RARE de Paris et elle était tellement gentille
2) je suis une grande fan de ses livres
Mais il faut avouer que si j'adore ses livres d'urban fantasy, ses romances à suspens sont MAGIQUES (coup de cœur absolu pour la série Deep Ops que je recommande sans modération !!) et j'avais vraiment hâte de commencer cette nouvelle série qui m'a ravie du début à la fin =D
Ce que j'ai particulièrement aimé :
- l'intrigue avec le mystère qui débute rapidement autour d'un mystérieux trafic d'armes / drogues avec des officiels corrompus et des méchants bikers et plein plein de morts =D (je m'attendais TELLEMENT PAS à l'identité d'un des méchants !!) mais aussi l'intrigue sous-jacente avec le stalker d'Anna ...
- le background avec une petite ville où tout le monde se connait (un peu comme dans les livres de Kristen Ashley ou Janet Evanovich) mais aussi tous les rouages du bureau du procureur (très New York Police Judiciaire =D)
- les personnages que j'ai adoré notamment l'héroïne Anna pour qui j'ai eu un coup de cœur =D Elle est courageuse, amusante, curieuse et intelligente et j'ai adoré suivre ses aventures =)

I find it hard to be objective because :
1) I met Rebecca two years ago at the RARE in Paris and she was so nice !!
2) I am a huge fan of her books
But I must admit that if I love her urban fantasy books, her suspense romances are AWESOME (absolute LOVE for the Deep Ops series that I recommend without moderation !!) and I was really eager to start this news series that delighted me from start to finish =D
What I particularly liked :
- the plot with the mystery that begins quickly around a mysterious arms / drug trafficking with corrupt officials and bad bikers and lots of deaths = D (I SO NOT expected the identity of one of the villains !!) but also the underlying plot with Anna's stalker ...
- the background with a small town where everyone knows each other (a bit like in the books by Kristen Ashley or Janet Evanovich) but also all the cogs of the prosecutor's office (very Law and Order =D)
- the characters that I adored in particular the heroine Anna for whom I fell in love =D She is courageous, funny, curious and intelligent and I adored following her adventures =)
- romance of course !! Although in this book, , there are three potential "heroes" in the race ... And that is perhaps the only downside of the book >< I have the impression that Anna will finish with Aiden BUT personally I'm not so fan of him (I'm usually very biker and an Irish biker ... <3 BUT a biker who NO WAY !! Buuut when I read what was going on with the DEA agent who did not file a complaint and the federal sources inquiring about Anna's stalker, I think Aiden is more than a simple biker BUT if he isn't, I would be disappointed ><) I much prefer Nick (the sexy Italian prosecutor and a bit manipulative ... This scene in his apartment <3) or Pierce (the older detective but just as hot!) Anyway we will see how it will evolve in the next books ...

J'ai du mal à être objective parce que :
1) J'ai rencontré Rebecca il y a deux ans à la RARE de Paris et elle était tellement gentille
2) je suis une grande fan de ses livres
Mais il faut avouer que si j'adore ses livres d'urban fantasy, ses romances à suspens sont MAGIQUES (coup de cœur absolu pour la série Deep Ops que je recommande sans modération !!) et j'avais vraiment hâte de commencer cette nouvelle série qui m'a ravie du début à la fin =D
Ce que j'ai particulièrement aimé :
- l'intrigue avec le mystère qui débute rapidement autour d'un mystérieux trafic d'armes / drogues avec des officiels corrompus et des méchants bikers et plein plein de morts =D (je m'attendais TELLEMENT PAS à l'identité d'un des méchants !!) mais aussi l'intrigue sous-jacente avec le stalker d'Anna ...
- le background avec une petite ville où tout le monde se connait (un peu comme dans les livres de Kristen Ashley ou Janet Evanovich) mais aussi tous les rouages du bureau du procureur (très New York Police Judiciaire =D)
- les personnages que j'ai adoré notamment l'héroïne Anna pour qui j'ai eu un coup de cœur =D Elle est courageuse, amusante, curieuse et intelligente et j'ai adoré suivre ses aventures =)

Four and a half
A new series by one of my favourite authors and it’s certainly a little different to other things I’ve read by her. Anna is starting out her career as a lawyer in the District Attorneys office when just about everything hits the proverbial fan. Her boss is arrested and Anna is sent to prosecute a case she has no knowledge of. Ok shoulders back , take a deep breath and then bam because Anna knows the defendant Aiden and indeed had a crush on him but everything gets even more complicated when it seems that someone is trying to kill Anna !
Anna just seems to be a magnet for trouble and whatever can go wrong usually does. Meeting up with bad boy Aiden is just the start of Anna’s adventures and trust me she really does have adventures. Her temporary boss Nick is determined to track down everything the crooked DA was up to as a new drug is being distributed . Anna is so new she doggedly just keeps trying to solve the mystery herself. However suspects and witnesses have a bad habit of winding up dead ! Step forward Detective Grant Pierce who cannot help but notice that Anna keeps stepping into things she really shouldn’t.
Ok I liked the overall story but sadly I wasn’t that enamoured of Anna. She’s constantly looking at Aiden, Nick and Grant as possible romantic prospects and it was quite irritating. Couldn’t she just pick one or get a battery operated boyfriend ? That being said it’s biker Aiden who stole my heart and it’s written in a way that makes me think he’s undercover for some agency or other. This story is far from over although this did end in a way that gave some answers. I enjoyed the suspense and the sometimes crazy yet endearing characters and the plot gathered so many threads together. So I would definitely want to read the sequel but sincerely hope Anna makes me cringe less.

I just finished Disorderly Conduct (The Anna Albertini Files #1) and I'm having a really hard time deciding what kind of animal it is. Rebecca Zanetti writes Paranormal and Romantic-Suspense. This new series doesn't fit. It is first person POV. Cozy sex. Great mystery with a twist. And humor, love the humor. It comes closer to the Stephanie Plum Series than anything else. To call it a Cozy Mystery would work, but it's a lot more than that. The Mystery is definitely the stronger element, but there is a romance element too, a having sex with the bad boy romance and two other possibilities. So I'm going to call it a Mystery With Romance. I really loved the book and look forward to seeing where this series goes.

He is now wearing prison orange instead of shiny silver. Now, Anna has a chance to repay a debt she feels she owes this man who saved her life. Except, Aiden Devlin doesn't want her help and tells her to stay away from his case.
With blue eyes blazing, Aiden feels a lot about this all grown up Anna and she is just as drawn to him. The deeper she gets involved in this case the more she has to see that the new Prosecuting Attorney, Nick Basanelli and Detective Grant Pierce may have a point: Aidan is a life long criminal and not a good guy. But, her heart just isn't buying it.

This is a brand new series from one of my unicorn authors, Rebecca Zanetti. I have literally read everything she has written and I don't think this woman can write a bad book in any genre.
So we meet Ms. Anna Albertini, a fresh out of law school Prosecutor, in her office enjoying a latte, where she has only worked misdemeanor plea bargains. Then all of a sudden, all hell breaks loose.
Suddenly, her office is filled with DEA and police, and the other attorney's have scattered. Scot, her boss, has been arrested on drug trafficking charges and she is left holding the proverbial bag...or in this case, proverbial files...as Scot's case files are thrust into her hands and she is told to get to court to cover Scot's cases. What? She has never done this before....
As she is struggling to find her footing in court, the last person she expects to see, walks into the courtroom in an orange jumpsuit. Aiden Devlin, the boy who saved her life years ago, and has grown into a total man! And a criminal.
Aiden, the boy who she has dreamed about for years...is a criminal. As she leaves the courthouse with a client, shots are fired....and she is suddenly thrown to the ground and saved by Aiden, again. Today is not Anna's day. When she returns to the office, she meets her new boss Nick Basanelli... he's intent on making a name for himself and seeing everyone go down on this drug case...to include Aiden Devlin.

Anna is thrust into a dangerous investigation and is immediately in danger. Danger seems to follow her everywhere! Not to mention, who are the good guys? Who are the bad guys? I will never tell...no spoilers here. You will need to read the book!
The characters are well defined and each brings an added layer to the story. The story doesn't go on any unnecessary tangents and the answers are right in front of you, even if you can't see them. I was fully engaged and couldn't put the book down! Now, I cannot WAIT to get book 2! The ending was fantastic and totally blew my mind. You will never guess who the bad guy(s) are!!!
If you are looking for a great romantic suspense, with humor, light steam, great characters, written by a unicorn.... THIS IS YOUR BOOK! I definitely recommend and will continue to read this series and any series Ms. Zanetti writes!

What a fun story with a heroine that could easily be a friend and a storyline that had me guessing the whole time.
This is not this author’s usual fare. The romance is far down on the list here and yet the vein of it runs throughout the story leaving just the smallest pulse in its wake and making me salivate for more. Each time my mind turned to heroes and heroines, the story flipped me back to the various mysteries that are entangled throughout the book. And I absolutely loved every moment of it!
Loved the family support, secondary characters that are a part of the life of the story and the small town atmosphere created within these pages. While one of the storylines is wrapped up, there is so much more waiting to be revealed. Instead of leaving me antsy, I actually respected the way the author ended this book.

I wanted to love this book, but IMO it suffered from an identity issue, did it want to be a cozy legal mystery where the goofy new lawyer is constantly falling into one issue after another? Or did it want to be a romantic suspense book where lawyer that happens to have an older cop, her boss or a convict all interested in her at the same time. She accused 2 other guys trying to kiss or fondle her...it got old...quickly. I hate 3 ways, so you can imagine how I felt about a 4 way, although Aidian is the only one who made it in to her bed, but it doesn't appear that is the way to her heart..she is on the fence evidently on who to choose? Oh let's not forget about the creepy stalker from her past when she was 16...nope because there isn't enough going on already in Anna's life.

Lots of fun and a wildly exciting and suspenseful ride!

The start of a new series for Rebecca Zanetti, this book was a whole lot of fun! A romantic suspense that is heavy on the suspense with just a hint of romance, with fantastic characters, non-stop action and lots of laughs. I really enjoyed this one!
Anna Albertini is a newbie prosecuting attorney working in a suddenly unstable DA’s office. She’s finding her feet in her new job when she is thrust into court, unexpectedly confronting the subject of all of her teenage and grown-up fantasies, Aiden Devlin. Aiden saved her from a predator when she was just a child, and she’s spent all the years in between dreaming about her hero. But now her hero is a Defender in a MC, and a prisoner facing serious charges. Curious by nature, Anna wants to help Aiden, but he wants her as far away from him and danger as possible.
Aiden is such an intriguing character. Yeah, he’s a badass, and clearly he’s not a completely good guy, but there’s so much more to him than we know. He has this irresistible cocky confidence and a sexy, flirtatious nature, with hints of a big, protective heart underneath it all. He’s kinda irresistible actually, and I loved him.
Adding to the complexity of Anna’s life, her new boss, Nick Basanelli is sexy-as-sin with political aspirations and has dragged her into the investigation against Aiden… which ties in to a string of other cases involving drug dealing, kidnapping, murder, and all sorts of other scary things. And then there’s Detective Grant Pierce – quietly sexy, serious and devoted to his job, he is all up in Anna’s investigation and another of her self-appointed protectors.
All of these men, all of these cases, all of this intrigue all overlaps to bring a rollercoaster of a read that twists and turns and becomes more and more complex by the moment – with Anna right in the middle of it all. And in between drive by shootings, pot smoking grandmas, scaling (and falling out of) trees, naked courtroom shenanigans, an overexcited dog and an unexpected Brazilian, Anna’s just trying to survive while she figures out how it all ties together. Oh, and let’s not forget that she’s got a crazed stalker on her trail. It’s a wonder she can maintain her sanity!
Anna is a great character. She’s brave and tenacious with a great sense of humour and even amidst the chaos of her life, she’s very relatable. She’s a wonderful heroine, and with the book written completely in her POV, she tells her story with intrigue, humour and heart.
With all of those strong alpha males around, of course there is some romance. I won’t go into details, because it’s so much fun just watching it all play out. But if you’re a Zanetti fan, don’t go into this expecting the same level of romance that you’re used to. It’s very much a secondary storyline, and while there are steamy kisses and sexy time is had, we don’t see any detail or swoony declarations just yet.
The book ends well, but the story is far from over. This series will continue on with Anna as our heroine, and though the main suspense storyline is pretty much resolved in this book, there are other plotlines that still need to play out – the romance included – and I can’t wait!
I loved this one!

Her boss, Scot Peterson, is arrested on drug charges, all the other lawyers are out on assignment, and ANNA IS IN CHARGE!
On her very first trip to District Court, she is shocked to see Aiden Devlin, her teenage crush and saviour (and now totally hot alpha male), marched in, charged with drug possession. No! How can this be? Anna hasn’t stopped thinking about him since he left their small town twelve years ago. And she really doesn’t want him to be the bad guy. So, what’s really going on in this town? Anna is persistently inquisitive, which is hugely entertaining as she tries to figure out why citizens of Timber City are starting to turn up in the morgue. Ugh! Her temporary new boss, another hotty named Nick Basanelli, is from the same small town that she hails from; a town where everyone knows everybody’s business. He is trying to keep her at a safe distance from the action but Anna is literally a danger magnet! DANGER MAGNET.
Anna’s investigations feel intensely personal as all the victims have had some connection to her. We’re not talking about several degrees of separation either. This is no degree of separation, as each of the victims were killed within hours of being with her, or in one instance, literally as he was speaking to her. The grumpy lead police investigator, Detective Grant Pierce, would rather she stay in the office and leave the investigating to the police, but Anna is adamant that she needs the truth in order to do her duty.
You know what else is interesting? She suddenly has three hot guys flirting with her and it’s heating up. I loved the small town dynamics, the mystery, the romance, Anna’s humourous first-person perspectives, all of it! This heroine is no wallflower, no damsel in distress. She makes her own success and karma!
Overall, I think this is a great intro to a new legal suspense series. It has a lot of mystery and action and a dash of romance. I have a feeling the romance aspect will be part of a larger story arc over the four books. I found this to be fun and funny, exciting and endearing!

4 Moments define us Stars.
Anna 'Angel' Albertini is fresh out of law school and is one month on the job when shite hits the fan and I mean big time. Her boss Scot has been arrested and she is to go in his place to court with virtually no time she doesn't actually know who she is defending.
Her childhood saviour when she was kidnapped at the age of ten by a twenty five year old and made in to his child bride (not legally) she was saved by Aidan Devlin. Aiden is Aquaman and Jared Padalecki. Nuff said really.
With her misdemeanor trials and the other two the plot comes together although Anna is always wrong place, wrong time. It was hard to get into this book because quite frankly at the beginning I felt Anna to be a bit of a whimp. She is the damsel in distress and takes solace and I get it but you are strong, resilent and kickarse you just need to show it. Cuddling in to the men in her life wasn't my thing. But this is just me. Nevertheless I like Anna and she is a great person with a huge and fantastic Irish/Italian family. There are a lot of laugh out loud moments. I will read the second book I just need the price to drop.
Yes, you read correctly, men. There is Aiden Devlin, Nick Bassalini (her new boss) and the detective Grant Pierce. Each different yet utterly appealing and in the end it is Aiden. There is more to Aiden that meets the eye, his criminal past is too smooth and nothing can be proven. So Anna trusts her instincts. I did not see that twist coming so kudos to you RZ. I would define the genre as romantic suspense comedy.
My verdict, great start to a new series and definitely worth a read!

First I have to say that I have read EVERY single RZ book. I am a huge fan. I buy digitally AND on Audible. I did that with this book. I wish I could return it. I knew that Rebecca was going to try something a bit different but I've never been disappointed before so I went in with an open mind. But after mulling it over, The writing was just lazy. Never before has Rebecca told you that something happened, especially the sex, she shows you. Any experienced writer will tell you that you show not tell. Then there's the 3 guys that are panting after Anna. I was never really made to care about any of them. And she came off as a cheat. It was like the care that Rebecca usually gives our HERO, was spread thin across 3 guys to the point that you couldn't root for any of them. Every direction I thought the story was going in order to redeem its self, fell flat. I listened to this story and I have to admit that I stopped a couple of times to READ someone else's book that just came out. I pushed on to the end and SPLAT! No HEA. PLEASE Rebecca, don't try to make a Stephanie Plum knock off. She makes you laugh out loud and even her back and forth between 2 guys got old. Anna just made me cringe. I gave 2 stars mostly because of the art. Authors are artists and I commend them for even putting stories together and I get that you want to try different things. But that is the only reason. I am sorry that I had to write this review. I really wanted it to be different.

Disorderly Conduct was incredibly fun, hilarious, and seriously exciting and I ended up laughing so hard at times from some of the situations Anna found herself in! I am in adoration of Aiden and Anna and this brand new series!
This is my new favorite book by Rebecca Zanetti. Witty, charming, action packed with lots of sizzling heat and plenty of twists, I was constantly smiling and I tried so very hard to make this book last because in all honesty, I did NOT want it to end! I am crazily looking forward to the next book in this new series. I haven't read anything this sexy and fun in a while and I am crushing hard on Aiden and enjoying the many predicaments Anna got herself into. Its such a fun story that has a lot of action. Its downright perfection in my book and I couldn't be more happy with it. I loved the style of writing and enjoyed the way it was written. There is not one single thing I would change about it. Not one!

Disorderly Conduct was an entertaining read introducing Anna Albertini, a new prosecuting attorney who is in way over her head.
When Anna Albertini arrives in District Court she's in for the shock of her life when she sees the defendant is Aiden Devlin, the man who saved her life when they were kids. Aiden says he doesn't want Anna's help, but how can she not help the man she owes her life to? With her new boss determined to take Devlin down and the detective assigned to the case warning Anna to stay out of his way, Anna quickly discovers helping Aiden won't be so easy.
Anna was a delightful character and I enjoyed her immensely. Her sense of humor is great and she doesn't give up easily which only made me like her more. Anna comes from a huge family that she's very close to and I really enjoyed the scenes when they would get together. Anna is new to her position as a prosecutor and her lack of experience does show at times but that actually makes her more relatable in my opinion. Throughout the book Anna finds herself in a number of precarious situations and I liked how she handled herself in those moments. I will say though that the sheer number of injuries she acquired throughout the book was a bit much and could have been scaled back a bit.
The case involving Aiden was quite interesting and I liked the direction the author took things. Aiden is involved with a deadly motorcycle gang and has had a number of run-ins with the law throughout his life. When the book starts, Aiden is suspected of being involved in the production and distribution of a new opioid named Beast. As Anna tries to come up with a reasonable explanation for Aiden's involvement, her boss begins building a case against Aiden. I liked getting to see Anna's torn loyalties here and that while she wanted to help Aiden, she never stopped doing her job. In addition to the drug investigation, Anna is also working on some minor misdemeanor cases that ultimately tie in with the main case. I liked the different ways the author connected everything and some of the connections ended up being quite clever. The ending of the book was very well done and there were several twists I didn't see coming.
The romance aspect of this book was less present than I was expecting but I have a feeling it will become more prevalent as the series goes on. Of the suitors presented in the book, Aiden was definitely my favorite of the bunch and had the best case in my opinion for making a relationship work. I will say I have one complaint about the romance element that did hinder my enjoyment somewhat. Practically every single man Anna meets is attracted to her and lets her know it. It was to the point that she was being kissed out of nowhere or asked out at crime scenes. I mean was that really necessary? I'm hoping in future books this element is used less as it's not one of my favorites.
Overall Disorderly Conduct was an enjoyable read and I will definitely be picking up the next book in the series, Bailed Out, soon.

Our heroine is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Her poor body is just one big bruise by the end of the book. She is as smart as a whip, even though she keeps getting into trouble. All the men around her (her boss, the detective and her childhood crush) all want her and want to protect her. She is totally perplexed by it all. My favorite laugh out loud moment was when she went undercover at a spa for information and did not realize that she agreed to have a Brazilian Wax. Her reaction and what she does during the process had tears running down my face because I was laughing so hard. A fun book with great characters. Moving directly to the next book!

March 7, 2022No lo terminé. Las cuitas de esta fiscal novata no me impresionaban demasiado profesionalmente. No me interesaba ni ella ni la trama. La narración en primera persona de un personaje que me aburre es fatal para mí. Su interés romántico se dispersaba un poco entre tres caballeros, lo que me hace sentir incómoda en romántica por no saber quién es el chico de la pelicula. Nerviosa, miré otras críticas y descubrí que eso en este primer libro no se resuelve... No hay HEA, así que lo dejé, porque ni Anna ni sus asuntos me interesaban como para invertir tiempo y dinero en todos los libros de la serie. Qué manía les ha entrado de partir las historias en cachitos.

I'd give this book more than 5 stars if I could. It's a real page-turner. It's full of mystery, it's sexy, it's quirky, and it's humorous. The mystery is sufficiently...mysterious. There are a few surprises. And I want to know Aiden Devlin's secret NOW! I can't wait for Bailed Out

I absolutely loved this book. I cannot wait for the second book in December. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys the In Death Series.

Anna Albertini has been thrown into the deep end of District Court. As the newest prosecuting attorney, she doesn’t have the experience to handle big cases, but she’s the only attorney available due to a series of events that have shaken up her office. But she also didn’t imagine she’d find the boy who saved her once standing across the aisle, now a man facing felony charges. Between Aiden’s return to town as a member of a dangerous motorcycle gang, her sexy new boss’s agenda, and the lead detective on the case, she has more than her share of male attention.
And this case is more than she bargained for as well. The situations she finds herself in during the course of her investigation were by turns hilarious and down right dangerous. As the bodies continue to pile up, she questions everything she thinks about everyone involved in the case: including the sexy men around her.
I loved getting to know Anna and the people around her. The small town aspect means everyone knows everything the minute it happens, even when they live in the next town over. It also has a long memory and those around her protect her from the nightmare she was rescued from as a child.
This has a romantic thread in the storyline, but is not a complete romance. The focus is strongly on the suspense and legal aspects of her life and situations. I rather enjoyed the way each of the men in the story are introduced. They each have their good qualities and their character flaws, but they also start a sort of courting process with her. She is attracted to each of them for different reasons, and I can’t wait to see how the strongest of the draws plays out as the series continues.
At times Anna reminded me of Stephanie Plum, with her way of attracting multiple men interested in pursuing her and finding herself in dangerous places. I was completely entertained as I watched her try to do her job but instead find herself in precarious situations more often than should happen for a junior lawyer. She’s got a great head on her shoulders though and a backbone to stand up and do what she thinks is best. I can’t wait to see where this series takes her, and how the overarching series threads continue to weave together.

This has a romantic thread in the storyline, but is not a complete romance. The focus is strongly on the suspense and legal aspects of her life and situations. I rather enjoyed the way each of the men in the story are introduced. They each have their good qualities and their character flaws, but they also start a sort of courting process with her. She is attracted to each of them for different reasons, and I can’t wait to see how the strongest of the draws plays out as the series continues.
At times Anna reminded me of Stephanie Plum, with her way of attracting multiple men interested in pursuing her and finding herself in dangerous places. I was completely entertained as I watched her try to do her job but instead find herself in precarious situations more often than should happen for a junior lawyer. She’s got a great head on her shoulders though and a backbone to stand up and do what she thinks is best. I can’t wait to see where this series takes her, and how the overarching series threads continue to weave together.
