The story revolves around an interethnic marriage in between a Sinhalese and a Tamil. I felt that the author hadn’t been able to capture the minute details that goes into an interethnic marriage. Yes, it’s all about true love, but there’s many differences & complications that needs to be captured in such a situation. If those aren’t acknowledged and honored, the whole essence of an interethnic marriage is lost, and so is the essence of the story.
