He’s going to get his.

I drink, disrupt the team, and disrespect everyone in my path.
I’m trying to leave my past behind, but it’s there, following me everywhere I go.
When I’ve finally hit rock bottom, I’m about to give up, throw in the towel, and be done.
Until the one woman that destroyed my walks back into my life.
Hey Readers,
Some of my reader’s group asked for this book – they wanted Carter’s story. He was a tough one because I’m pretty sure everyone hated him (and that’s putting it lightly). But I believe there are reasons people are the way they are, and anyone can be redeemed, sometimes they just have to forgive old hurts, find motivation, make amends, and choose right from wrong. If you believe in second chances, then I think you’ll enjoy the Bad Boy of Baseball. And to my reader’s group, thank you for challenging me and always lifting me up!

Not Bad

3.5 Stars

SPOILERS
This story wasn’t too bad but I was expecting a little more grovelling from Carter. You make a lot of mistakes when you’re young and Hanna and Carter made a lot. I had a few questions throughout the story like why Hanna couldn’t have gone with him, or why didn’t she actually go to his parents house to tell them about the baby? How did Hanna end up in the same city Carter was traded to? I thought Carter was a little hard on Hanna for not telling him. He obviously knew she tried to get a hold him, it wasn’t her fault everyone blocked her and she couldn’t reach them, except his parents they lived in the same town. If you know baseball stadiums it is not that easy to get access to the players so I don’t know how she would have told him at a game. I know Carter didn’t sleep with any of the women he was with but he still got pretty intimate with them and had the intention of sleeping with them. He would have if he could have. It would have been nice to see him get some counselling or something so he doesn’t lose control over another issue in the future. He doesn’t handle bad situations very well.

Safe
Minor om drama, guy grabs h while she is dancing and H punches him out. H is approached by two different women at club but he turns them away. H fools around with a lot of women in two years hoping to get over h, can’t get it up so he can’t sleep with them but he tries, h is celibate during their separation. No abuse.

An emotional rollercoaster story of 2nd chance romance. A series of bad decisions and unfortunate events lead the MCs to a wreck but it bonded them stronger as a couple.

Each other first
High school sweetheart
H with OM though not sleeping together during separation
No cheating
Safe read
Overall score: 3.5 sport romance

Carter is the bad boy of baseball. When his first love is back he tries to redeem himself. He finds out he has a daughter and he wants to become a better man. Not very steamy but still a good read. Heroine was celibate but hero tried to sleep with other women.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Bad boy of baseball is the sixth book in the ‘’players love curves’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Carter is the bad boy of baseball. After getting traded to a new team, he is spiralling out of control. When he finds the love he lost, he is determined to get her back.
The chemistry between Carter and Hanna is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked that they got their second chance.
I loved Maggie. I thought she was adorable.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

This is like the novella length version of The Best Thing by Marianna Zapata.

Wow there was so much that happened in this book with Carter having a redemption and reuniting with Hanna and getting to see why he acted the way he did. ♥️

It sounded as if Carter was way older then what he is from when he was originally introduced in Jackie and Reagan's story.
He's only a 20-21 year old kid already fucking up his life.

I hate the stupid secret baby plot.

Ok going into this I really wasn’t sure if I could like this. Carter was such a dick in all the books that I really wanted to dick punch him multiple times. But then you get to his story and then you kinda understand. He loses his love and she has a secret that she has kept from him. He gets into drugs and alcohol to try and forget. Tries to move on with other girls but his dick won’t work. Yea I’m sure you can start to understand the picture. But I will say I like how he starts to better himself and work stuff out with Hanna. She messed up big time and honestly I start to feel for this guy. I’m glad they work things out.

Quick read took about 45 mins
Glad I read
Change of heart ❤️

Carter has been the player to hate, in almost all the books in this series. As, in almost every case with people who act out, like he has been doing. Finally, the team puts him on a month, of suspension. It’s that they have underlying circumstances, causing so much havoc that they, act out toward others. But, toward themselves mostly, with drinking, drugs, and women. His behavior has gotten so, bad that they can no longer, just overlook it. The most outstanding reason is, his lack of performance on the field, and they trade him.

The new powers that be tell him he has one month to sober up or they're sending him home, for good. You know his brain is mush when he goes home, to his hometown. He rents a house, but spends most of his evenings drinking, and boozing. However, on this night he has a nervous energy playing a number on his spine, that is radiating pressure, to his chest. Making him worry, it makes no sense. But what, or should I say who comes out on the stage, and sets the world upside down? Yet, at the same time, somewhat puts it back on its axis.

It's the girl, Hanna that shattered his world two years prior, and he has not been able to get her, out of his head. But, it’s in the unlikeliest place in the world, a strip bar. He is livid and wants answers, and closure. Does he deserve them or is he part of the problem and he can only hear things that will point some of that anger back in his direction? She did what she thought was best for him and his dream. And when the narrative changed she tried contacting him, but he had blocked her. As did his family, and his agent. Life is about to change for, Carter. Hanna has the key to the puzzle, to rid himself of the pain he’s been carrying around, for the last two years.

I have to say, Carter has been the character to hate. He was a loose canon, out of control. He was a human stir stick, who treated everyone badly, but especially women. But, a power higher than himself will have him feeling the pains of his actions, in about twelve years, if not sooner. You know what they say about payback. The Carter who was out in he world didn't hate women he date all sizes. He did try for a bit but the maintenance did him in. So, he didn't lie to, Hanna when he tells her the fifty extra pounds, look good on her, and he does find her attractive. This is a very good series.

The couple: Carter and Hanna

Romance trope: second chance; secret baby
Series: Player Loves Curves
Length: 64 pages

Plot: Carter is not doing well. He's been traded to a new team because he's gone on a binge - alcohol, women, maybe drugs. He's been visiting a local strip club and one night sees a new dancer - his old girlfriend, Hanna. She broke his heart and he wants to know why. He'll get his answers, and just maybe get his sanity back

Commentary: A sort of character I didn't really expect from this author to be honest, not that I'm complaining. Poor Carter went off the rails when Hanna broke up with him. Even though he seemingly had it all - the pro baseball career he always wanted - he didn't have the one person he wanted. Hanna did the ole "I'm breaking up with you for your own good" thing that I hate from heroes (and it wasn't better from the heroine). It's not that I don't understand - it does come from a good place - but a little communication would do wonders, especially for a young couple like this with so many decisions to make. I am glad that Carter got the chance to apologize to some of the people he hurt.

Wow loved this

Wow brilliant finally see why what made bad boy Carter the way he is with drink and women.
Carter has his heart broken by the only girl he loved and has been trying to get over her for the last two years that is why he drinks to lessen the pain. He had treated women badly also trying to see if they erase the memory but nothing helps until he is at the bar at a strip club when he sees her Hannah and she is a stripper.
Hannah sees Carter and tries to keep away from him she hurt him but then he wouldn’t except any of her calls in the end she needs to talk to him as he is also a father to Maggie he just doesn’t know it yet.
Carter is taken back when he knows about Maggie and his world changes he puts more into his trading stops drinking moves the girls into his house as he moved into the pool house. Hannah stopped stripping and worked on her novel he loved coming home best part of the day even though a Hannah and him are still tiptoeing around each other.
They need to talk about them and what the future looks like they both admit they made mistakes but still love each other their has never been anyone else for them time to make Hannah his again and never let go.

Finally we get Carters story.

This was a good final to the series.
we met Carter back in book one of the series and well her was a douche.

This is his last chance to get his shit together or he is let go from baseball.
Turns out he has been pinning over his highschool sweetheart this whole time.

Hanna broke up with Carter 2 years prior when they graduated highschool as he was going to give up his shot and work with his dad for her.

Carter is at Rock bottom and ends up at a strip club.
Hanna is at her last resort after her parents disowned her and has turned to stripping for the money.
Enter a ugly reunion.

Secrets are revealed and they work on their relationship and Carter cleans himself up (we will ignore the lack of rehab here even though it 100% needed).

This story was good we didnt have the annoying virgin storyline.
Although I'm sorry there is no way Carter didnt sleep with anyone over those 2 years as im pretty sure it was mentioned in book 1 with Trinity's sister Sheena.. but ok 😒

Good ending to the series.
This one would have been great longer.

This was one story I wasn't gunning for Hope to write, leave the villain the villain and don't give him an HEA, or so I thought. I'll admit I was wrong, I bow to Hope's skills as a writer.

She redeems Carter in a way I didn't see coming, she shows us what's underneath...gives us the backstory...and makes him say and do A LOT of apologizing.

I don't want to say too much because anything I say about the story would giveaway something special that after reading this series I feel we all need to experience for ourselves. I'll simply say: try to remember not to assume you know the whole story.

Redemption Earned

I’ve read the previous books in this series. I didn’t think he deserved redemption. But, when people act out like he did in the previous books, and I wanted to call him every negative adjective I could find, I remembered that people act out when their soul has been hurt. The story is so well written, his anger, hurt and pain leapt off the pages. This story explains all of it. The best part is when his actions prove he’s trying to be better. Redemption earned with an over due HEA!

Bad Boy of Baseball :By Hope Ford: Book 6

Story line was good but a lot.missing

Romance was just not there. Carter and Hanna both said over and over how loved each other so much they couldn't and didn't have sex with any one else for two years...Yet the best love scene was being told they made love all night. Sorry, what happened to the desire they said they had?? Could have been a good read but the author dropped the ball...

Carter

Lets just say Carter was a total dick to all of his team mates but after reading his story I really understand why he was the way he was. I'm really glad that Carter found closure and got his Happy ending. Now he's all about Family and apologizing to all his old and new team mates and becoming a better man. I really loved this whole series and would recommend it to everyone.

Bad Boy if Baseball

I’ll be the first to admit. I 100% did not want Carters story... If you’ve read the first 5 books in this series you would understand. I should have had more faith in Hope Ford!! This book was amazing! Carter was everything a man at rock bottom and fighting his way up should be and I absolutely loved him to pieces

💘

When Hope Ford agreed to write this book (after begging from those of us in her reader group) I knew she would make Carter's story good. How such a bad guy could be redeemed I didn't know. But she knew, and she successfully made him into a good guy readers could love. Well done!

Hope Knocks it Out of the Park

Loved every book in the series, but especially loved the fact that Hope easily accepted her reader's challenge to write a story of redemption for her "bad boy" character, Carter, introduced in Player Loved Curves series. Beautiful story of second chance. Well done Hope!

Wow!

I wasn’t sure I would like Carter’s story after the way he was in the other books. I have to say that Hope Ford did an amazing job! I’m so glad I gave Carter a chance and read his book. Charter and Hannah were so good together. This book gave me all kinds of emotions. I would dare to say it’s the best book in the series. So worth the read!

By far best book in the series!

I had a very bad impression of Carter, but Hope had definitely made him more lovable. I cannot believe how she transformed him. I could not have pictured a better way to do this. I was hesitant at first about reading his story, but i am so glad i did. Hope you are a miracle worker!

Such a Good Bad Boy!

Awesome ending to this series! After hating Carter for most of the previous 5 books, Hope turned things around beautifully! I LOVED this story!! The ending was satisfying, yet I would have liked an epilogue. Probably because I hate coming to the end of a series I really enjoy!💖💖

Bad boy’s redemption

Hope Ford’s Bad Boy of Baseball, Carter’s story in her Player Loves Curves series, definitely hit a home run! This by far was the best, and although I loved all her characters from the first book in the series, the fact that Hope Ford gave Carter a chance to redeem himself was by far my favorite.

Do give this bad boy a chance, loves, he earned it!

If you want to read a great book this is it. It needs a few more chapters to make it full but it's perfect just the way it is. When the writer knows what they are talking about, an honest review is simple. The writing pulls at your heart...makes you want to fight for love, and will make you not want to put the book down! 4 stars for length.

Carter and Hanna

A despicable, poor excuse for a man, and an even worse teammate, Carter, is determined to drink his life away to forget his pain. Hanna thought she was doing the right thing by pushing him away. When they meet again after two years apart, the truth is finally set free and Carter and Hanna get their home run!

Damn if I didn't want Carter to have to just suffer in misery. But his story (while still not excusing his behavior) makes a lot better sense with this book. I'm so glad we got to see Carter and Hannah's HEA. It always amazes me how Hope Ford can write such complex situations and characters in such a short amount of words.

Carter has been the bad guy in so many of the books in this series but FINALLY getting some more substance to him helped make things make sense and boy did my heart break for him a little bit

Hanna and Carter were high school sweethearts but a cruel misunderstanding tore them apart, now years and secrets later can they make things work?
