Liam Jackson hadn't stepped foot in Dallas in two years... After relocating to Arizona for a business move that had the potential to skyrocket his career, he stood to make partner. And he deserved it, being that he was one of the best business consultants at the firm. That move came with a cost... Sakina Campbell...leaving her behind was the cost. The beautiful forty-two year old woman that had possessed him from the moment he laid eyes on her. Yeah...he was only thirty-two when they met...but that didn't mean a thing to him. She was who he wanted. Now, he was being forced to deal with what felt like unfinished business. Moving back to to Dallas would force he and Sakina to address their feelings for each other. Would this reunion end in him claiming her heart? Would things back to the way they were or could they be better than before?
Yes, ma'am! Liam is the truth! Loved his persistence with getting his woman back. Now, Sakina, was understandably standoffish and played hard to get initially with Liam when he returned, due to how things were left with them. But, that back and forth she was doing was driving me crazy! I was like does she has some "issues"? 😂 But, Liam was so understanding with her, catered to her, proved to her that she was worthy, and that his love for her would never waver. It was beautiful to watch unfold! These two were some nasty asses for real, for real! My goodness! Sakina had that good middle age woman vibe going on, and was getting it in, at every turn! I ain't mad atcha sis! 😂 Another great read! 👍👍👍
First of all, this can’t be it. So I’m just gonna sit it here and wait for part 2. I’m starting to feel these younger guy older female books. Sakina was a tough cookie. Being that she had a good relationship with her dad, I would’ve thought otherwise. Maybe it was her job. Now Liam, I loved his passion for her. Not afraid to love but also aware and protecting his heart too. I loved her family...they were funny. Can’t wait to read Kyles story because you left it out there. He loved his lil bro and now he hooked on that Jamaican pum pum...
This was my first read but T. Key but it most definitely will not be last. I read Nobody Else Gon Get My Love first so I was more than interested to read Liam's side of the story. Reading his side made me fall even more in love with him. And that damn man bun. Good gawd. I loved being able to read his thoughts and feelings about Sakina. Their story was so sweet and nasty. They had sex so much! And the sex scenes were steamy. Every last one of them. Now I'm curious if we'll get a Kyle and Jamila spin-off.
Foremost, T. Key books are hit or miss. Unfortunately, considering the number of books in her catalog and the collaborative works with author’s like Ms. Walters I expect superior writing quality & editing. Consequently, “Better Than Before” was a good read (3.75⭐️’s). ..of the Caribbean queen & the Arizona adonis. However, there were numerous grammatical, punctuation & syntax errors which is/was distracting & a challenge to just appreciate the second chance tropical romance of Sakina & Liam🌴‼️
Liam was the man any woman would desire, but he only wanted Sakina. Though a significant amount of time had passed, he was determined to make her his. She was stubborn as a lot of us women are, especially when we feel we’ve been wronged or have something to protect. I loved the things he did in the beginning to show her how much she meant to him. 😍😍😍 Liam was just the man for me. Loved it T. Key! ❤️
I loved that story! I loved the adversity both Sakira and Liam faced and how they were able to overcome it and fall deeper in love with the other. I'm glad that neither of them allowed themselves to succumb to outside temptation and found support in the other to make it the best love ever!
Liam and Sakina getting back together was nothing short of amazing. The love was they shared was beautiful! To be away from each other for two years and get back together and the love is stronger is beautiful. I can't wait to read Sakina's POV. Hopefully there will be a book about Kyle and Jamila. Excellent read!
T. Key is becoming one of my go to author’s Liam and Shanika were so amazing to read and we their love develop and blossom into into something beautiful and captivating. Their love was realistic and hot definitely what any romance consumer is looking to indulge in. I am definitely hoping for a part two to see what is next for the Jackson family.
Is one of my favorite romance tropes, and this story had all the ingredients for a quick, steamy read. And while it did tackle a few heavy topics, the overall message conveyed was one of love and family!
Another enjoyable collaboration with Monica Walters. T Key does a good job of expressing Liam's feelings from a man's point of view as well. Just wondering if there's a story for Kyle.
