Love Invader Zim!

I think I'd forgotten just how...absurd...Invader Zim is. But I didn't mind that. That's part of its charm. These comics reminded me so much of the show, so it was a wonderfully nostalgic feeling. To say nothing of the incredible artwork packed in these pages. Were all the stories within super memorable? I can't say all of them were. But they were fun, I'll give them that, so I'll definitely be reading the next several volumes in the series.

A laugh out loud funny collection of the first ten volumes of the Invader Zim series post the show. Mostly one shots and AU. f you loved the show you’ll love this collection. Also includes funny inserts and a dedicated section to cover art.

This cracked me up! Something about the humor in Zim always gets me. I’m a fan of the cartoon and I’ve been meaning to read the comics. This was a great start, I loved it! The humor is on point for me and the artwork is just incredible. I love how colorful yet crazy and kinda gross everything is.

Interesting to see Zim as a comic, great art and colours. I liked how the first issue picks up where the cartoon left off. Silly and mind-numbing.

Opening this book (hardcover edition) felt like opening a holy tome of my childhood. I loved so much of this, but felt a little jarred by some of the writing and art that just missed the mark of heeding to Invader Zim style. That’s right- not all of this book is written and drawn by Jhonen Vasquez and I feel those small spots are where the letdown is.
