Transmigrated Into a Big Boss to Snatch Away the Cannon Fodder

Rate this book
Rong Qing transmigrated into the role of a big boss inside a book. Passionate, rich, and extremely good looking. Yet this kind of big boss character, there were a total of six in the original book. All were embraced and hugged left and right by the original book’s main character Xiao Ziqi. How can this be in accordance with the values of an upright modern society? Rong Qing immediately sharpened his (metaphoric) sword and prepared to battle against the other big bosses. He will let them learn that although love was precious, making money is even sweeter! During this process, he also accidentally picked up a little wolf pup cannon fodder from the original book and started his sweet, yet hilarious new life…

3.5/5🌟

This is just a silly, goofy novel purely for entertainment. I laughed out loud so many times reading this and I seriously has a really enjoyable time with this. My most favorite part might be reading the MC's inner monologue. His antics are hilarious and I'm constantly wondering how the gears in his head works. He's such a peacock who loves to flaunt his tail feather aka his wealth. His thoughts are way too funny and I think his shenanigans actually carried the story for me.

The romance is average. I have definitely read better romance than this, though this is also not so bad. I just feel like that 2-year seal that the MC had accidentally given himself restricted the romance that would have otherwise blossom naturally if there's no such element in the plot. The seal not only hindered their intimate moments, I also think it stopped their interaction from being more romantic. I just think that it's not the selling point of this novel for me. My rating is definitely based on how much I enjoyed my time reading this.

BEWARE of SPOILER

Rong Qing transmigrated into a novel and became one of the white lotus's suitor. The biggest problem was, he's a bottom. So, instead of eyeing Xiao Ziqi the said white lotus who's also a bottom, he set his eyes upon Lin Ji, the white lotus's archenemy. The only person who had a hunched that Rong Qing was not the original Rong Qing, was his assistant. The reason was written in the extras.

Rong Qing made an agreement with the original Rong Qing that he will stop Xiao Ziqi from corrupting his other suitors and be happy with his one true love. The downside was, he could only had sex once he got married. Lin Ji was only 20 when they first met and according to the rules, could only get marry when he turn 22.

At first, Lin Ji was on guard with Rong Qing. I was anticipating the day he'd fallen in love with Rong Qing and when he did, it was so sweet. He was always on tenterhooks because compare to him, a poor actor, Rong Qing was a self-made billionaire. As the story progressed, whe got to know that lin ji's background was not so simple.

The face-slapping was so good that even though I hated Xiao Ziqi, I wanted him to appear more. I like the way Rong Qing kept away Xiao Ziqi's suitors. He just flex his wealth and it made them realized that making money was more important than chasing a guy that was so ambiquous with his feeling.

Lin Ji was one of the best male lead written. He was the top but, did not mind when mistaken as bottom as long as Rong Qing was happy. At the same time, Rong Qing always made him went speechless because Rong Qing didn't care if the whole world knew he was bottom. It's like when Lin Ji did one thing for Rong Qing, he counter it with two things.

One of the scene I like was when Lin Ji gave a card to Rong Qing to buy whatever he wanted. But, Rong Qing was richer than him. So, to get Rong Qing to spend his money instead, he told Rong Qing that Rong Qing's two friends had no boyfriend. And Rong Qing being Rong Qing, the guy that like to flex, was more than happy to swipe that card. Of course he did not forget to brag in his friends circle that he just happened to have a boyfriend who also happened to gave a card for him to swipe as he please.

First novel of the year and it was...Nice.

It's a simple, stress free story which is why I picked it in the first place. But it dissatisfied me the more I read it.

It starts with our MC (Rong Qing) finding himself in a situation where he has to choose between endorsing a doe-eyed two faced man and wolf like one for the part of a filming's main character. Him being the bottom that he is and seeing the beginning of an ambiguous relationship forming between himself and the doe eyed promptly endorses the other actor. Afterwards he discovered that he transmigrated (my fav trope) and that the original body's owner felt so betrayed by the doe-eyed's five time cheating him that he died from anger, and he asks our MC to just find love and not do the do until he's in love and married.

The worst part about it has to be the beginning, the author did such a horrible job establishing the main cast that I dropped this story three times in the 1st chapter and only slogged through it bc the translation was complete.

It was really fun for the first half of the story but I felt the author slow down by the 70-80 chapter mark and started filling chapters with random crap, the characters and author were seemingly determined to waste my time, the actual plot picked up again at the 90-97 chapters but then it was back to pointless word vomit.

Speaking of pointless, I don't think the main character knows what he wants, he is all over the place and some of his actions make me go "Huh????" Like, he picked the wolf pup because he wants a top to do him, but he knows he can't have the do-da until he falls in love, yet he seems flustered that he actually did fall in love??? And he was even more surprised that the wolf pup fell in love like?????? Wasn't that the point??? The author tried to retroactively correct this by having the MC comment on how dumb he was but girl that's not how you fix a story.

And the villian...heh.
At this point I don't even care what happens to the main villian because why should I?! Neither the MC nor the author seems to do.

Tl;dr starts as a fun no weight story then sinks under the weight of all its plot lacking chapters.

Al fin lo terminé.
Siento que la novela se desvió mucho (como que bastante) y se volvió repetitiva.
Solo agradezco haberla culminado pues tiene parejas secundarias muy lindas, e incluso la misma pareja principal.

This is a transmigration story about Rong Qing and his journey as a rich guy that loves to flaunt his status.😅

Our mc is a contradiction. He's a genius in business but lacking in social skills. This makes the story absurdly funny.😁

There's an irritating white lotus villain and lots of Rong Qing's friends are hilarious.

It is a short story that doesn't have that much plot. More on humor and just a chill read.👍

A fun, fluffy novel about a man who transmigrates into a novel and realises that although his character is a "big boss" (rich, powerful, influential) he's going to get cheated on by the 'main character' he's infatuated with. Also, he prefers being the catcher, which is also the MC's position. Having no personal feelings for the MC apart from disgust (due to the cheating, and also transmigrating into a scene where the MC is being super manipulative), he decides to give the investment-that-would-guarantee-him-main-lead-in-a-movie benefit the MC was 'refusing' (but still wanting) to the other actor in the room. Pretending to like that 'canon fodder' actor would also let everyone know not to give MC benefits due to Big Boss' reputation anymore. And so begins a long courtship originally about BB showing off his money and power that turns into real love.

I'm only giving three stars. I want to give 4 for the comedy that made me laugh out loud a whole lot. But I also have to take off one star for some really out-of-place aspects that make no sense in an otherwise non-magical world. (The dead/departed spirit of the Big Boss places a magical 'seal' on BB's ... guess-where... so that he can't have sex before marriage. And remember that new-BB is a catcher. Yeah. There. And you have to hear about this seal A LOT.) Also just some really immature/toxic ideas about what gay people are really like (horny all the time, would bang anyone/everyone if there weren't a magical seal on their behind, etc.).

Still, it's a fun, easy-to-read, lighthearted story. And its translation is complete, which is always awesome.

The author warned in the beginning this was a sort of silly story but I didn't realize how nonsensical it was. Plot was either all over the place or nonexistent, but was also so unnecessarily long? The relationship between the MC and ML wasn't that much better, and the main conflict between them was kinda dumbbbbbb. The only thing that was sorta refreshing was the MC already knew he liked men and wasn't weird about bottoming but that's kinda the only thing it had going for it tbh. I actually like one of the side stories better than the latter half of the main story because it actually talked about the transmigration more. See the first half ish of the novel was fine because it still sorta focused on the villain transmigrator but once he lost relevance, the story lost me.

This was essentially a silly gay villainess type otomeisekai where OP transmigrates into one of the romance options.

Romance story, check, isekai into a character from a story, check, foreknowledge of story, check, Heroine (or hero?) with a harem of paramours who ends up being the bad guy, check...

This is an enemy to lovers trope (at least from the Main leads perspective) and while the main character seems to have interest in the ML from the beginning it takes awhile for him to also fall in love. It's almost refreshing how sexually self assured the MC is.. however despite that he's very innocent.

Very tsundere meets puppy dog.

I really enjoyed it at the beginning, as the characters start to bond and as they often face off with the villain, but started losing interest around 120 chapters where I starts jumping around.

However the negatives:
- ML became extremely insufferable later on where he becomes so proud of solving every problem with money.. money that he inherited from the original character. He also becomes extremely money grubbing.
- Very class based story. If you have more money = better than the poors. This is played for comedy but it's still grating.
- way too much tedious discourse about netizens and what the public think... This seems a trend overall in these types of stories
- as with many Chinese novels, lots of blackening /face slapping.

Delightful! Rong Qing, a bottom, transmigrates into a top, and his entry into the book world is mostly characterized by his deep offense that the main character is hogging all the tops. Unacceptable! He chooses one, like a proper and polite bottom. He also derives comical amounts of near-childish joy from spending money and flaunting his wealth. Lin Ji, the top in question, is initially a little wary of what Rong Qing wants, but quickly realizes he's actually adorkable and that he wants him carnally. All of the side characters are very well developed, with the occasional exception of getting names (looking at you, Bodyguard A), and all have their own plot lines, up to and including the cat. There's also a touch of existential horror toward the end when some of the characters consider what the transmigration system can do, which was unexpected. Very fun.

Didnt read all the extras

Okay so the first half of the book was a solid 5/5. I was laughing my ass off and some chapters and loved the plot. It was very easy going, with a great amount of face slapping and was nice to read. Rong Qing calling himself daddy was so fucking funny

However its 155 chapters long the latter half was the exact same as the beginning and it became extremely repetitive. Also even though the book was only focused on the actions of the main couple I dont like how we had to wait till the very last chapters to see them finally get together. so the latter half was for me a 3/5

3.5 stars. Very light and lively. A little too long to be honest :( to read weekly as a web novel is fine. I read it as a completed novel so it got a little too repetitive
