Pretty good almost excellent

Overall,

This book and this series is for the most part very solid. The characters are well developed and the world building is solid. The only reason, I didnt give it a 5 is that the author unfortunately has a bad habit of introducing very improbable and unnecessary situations. The whole thing with the lizards made no sense. The MCs sister is trying to rescue him but can seem to make forward progress because there are giant lizards massed across the border. She drives at 50+ miles per hour for an entire day but can't find an opening because they are so bunched together. So then she uses her very dangerous mental magic. Basic math says that this would never happen. Also even the slightest use of her magic turns her in to a sociopath. This doesn't make since because the author states like a 1000 time that magic has to be used gradually because there are natural limiters.

Okay. You’re probably wondering how on Earth I could’ve read this book before release. It’s ‘cause I’m a beta-reader. Personally, I loved this book. As usual with Oster’s books, I was engrossed until the end. I would have to agree with Josh that this is one of the most underrated series ever. If it were to ever catch the light of day, it would spread like a wildfire. (in a good way, I assure you.)
I assure you, if you read this book or any other series of Aaron’s, (except maybe The Rules, that has gotten a lot of mixed reviews, I loved it though.) you will not be disappointed, well...you will, when the book ends and you realize that you have to wait for the next book to come out. 😂 Lol, trust me, give this series a shot, it’s great. The magic system is awesome as well.

Another good book in the series

I'd read another in this series but I'm skeptical of how it will go based off the ending in this book.

Spoilers past this point.

Bit annoyed with the lack of resolution in this book and it ending how it did. I like the series the MC has been thrust into so maybe it will be ok, but no idea how that's gonna work. Dragging his reunion with his sister into another book is also a bit tedious, that really should have happen by the end of book 1. Meh.

One of the most underrated story’s out there.

In a few words. This book, just like the first two was absolutely amazing. However, what amazes me is the fact each one is better than the last in the most speculator way. The same can also be said for the other ongoing series the author has.
(Rise to omniscience in particular)
So If you want a series that Truly does the genre justice and an author who will continuously deliver. Look no further!

This is a really cool series. The MC is awesome. I just want to kill his sister and I’m not sure if that is good writing or not. She is completely intolerable and she has magic that makes her even more insufferable. I’m worried that we are going to get too many plot lines going on in the next book. I need some consolidation or for some of these characters to die so that we can revisit the plot in Rampage when things were more simple.

Least fun in the series. The female main characters are written to act horribly annoying though all three in very different ways. There’s no positive character development. The forced change of the love interest is unfortunate, I really dislike the new direction. On top of all that the book stops right in the middle of everything, no doubt so that the reader continues on to the next book in the series coasting on the fun that book 1 and 2 were.

Another Homerun!!

Aaron does it again! Another great story from his unique universe. Arbor grows in power and needs to in order to keep up with his growing list of enemies. Excited for the next one. I love how all his books are interconnected. I can’t wait to find out more with the next installment of this series and the next book in Aaron’s “Somerset” universe!

A good read

Normally I’m super annoyed by the change in view points in a book because I get extremely invested in the MC. Not so much here. The author and created multiple complex characters that I can’t wait to see how develops further in the next book which I’ll be waiting for with bated breath.

Almost gave this book 4 stars for ending on a huuuuge cliffhanger. Had I known I'd have waited until the next book came out to read this one. Still, it was a fast-moving ton of fun and the poor hero has the problem of too many women that like him and trauma that keeps him from really considering them romantically. Kind of a refreshing change.

Shocking ending

This book is a great new installment to the series but what truly stuck out is at the end of the book where “Worlds collide”.Very excited for the next book and possible a cross over with Morgan of the Rise to the Omniscience series.

origin (land of the elementals, book 3)

This was a good book series. I like the series enough to read all of the books. I’m looking forward to reading the fourth book in the installment of this series. It has lots of action and great character development.

Once I start any of your books, I can’t stop until I finish reading them. I hope you have a big back and forth with Arbor and Morgan. Can’t wait for the next book!

Things are going down. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone but I can say that the ending was real twisty turby. I loved it!

Pretty crazy ending!

Wow, this one was just crazy as hell. It was so good to see Arbor kicking ass, but he still has a way to go before he masters his magic and himself.
