Nether-Staining has found peace. The aliens who tried to take over the majestic little pocket of the Yorkshire Dales are now friends and honorary Yorkshire-folk. All is well. Alcohol isn’t available in outer space and these new visitors to mighty Yorkshire seem to delight in nothing more than drinking the beer in the Dog & Duck. Well, you just can’t beat a Priest’s Hole, can you? When life is this good, what’s the point in leaving the pub?
Except just as all is well, all is actually not well. Trying to make sure it ends well might be a challenge.
A most unusual thing is about to happen in Nether-Staining. Local Casanova and homeless wastrel, Mick Hunt, wants to settle down with the right lady and when something so incredible occurs, you just know that hell is about to break loose.
Join Gordon and Mick once more as they endeavour to combat what might be the greatest threat to their beloved slice of Yorkshire since time began…and it may not end in death, because some fates are far worse…

Hailing from Yorkshire but now living in New Zealand with his wife and a long-held, and rather clichéd for an author, love of reading books, he figured he might as well have a go at writing...and after many years of living in Yorkshire...where better place to set stories...?
He's not sure where the idea for the village of Nether-Staining came from, nor the characters of Mick and Gordon...but hopefully they're not representations of his inner-self...

Another great addition to the extended tale of Nether-Staining, full of hilarity throughout. If you're looking at this book and haven't read the two previous in the series it's worth picking those up first to better understand the universe and characters. Great book if you're in for a laugh and are ready to delve into a new and absorbing world.
