Deadly Sight

Rate this book
Women are being brutally murdered in New York City left and right and they have seemingly no connection other than the way they are being murdered. Detective Nick Rudd and his partner Jessica Sullivan catch the case and have to determine what's going on before someone else dies. Though they have a few suspects, there's no evidence and nothing to help them along the way and the bodies just keep piling up. Then, Nick gets a call that the children of some of the victims have gone missing as well. They are soon returned, unharmed, but there are days where the children are unaccounted for and they won't tell anyone where they were and who they were with. Now, Nick and Jessica are forced to worry about the victim's children and who will be next, all while still struggling to find evidence that will lead them to even one suspect. Meanwhile, at home, Nick is dealing with his own personal hell with the return of his ex-wife, Danielle, and her threats to take his children amidst the death of Mikey, but Stella and Kate are right there to stand with Nick and help any way they can. Nick wants to do anything to protect his children, but he's torn between working the case and figuring out how to stop Danielle. As the bodies pile up, Nick's worlds collide and he is forced to face something that he never dreamed he'd ever have to face as a cop. He has to make an unthinkable choice and it's one that may very well destroy him forever.

Thrills

The start to this one is even more heartbreaking than the first. Nick Rudd is dealing with a massive loss and a serious threat by the way of his crazy ex-wife. But he still pursue a killer who is leaving bodies all over the city. intense story. A killer who you almost root for. Good read.
