They're sending Assassins now!... Really...Assassins!?!?!Up until now, attempts on my life have been a force of evil DIY project. They’ve shot at me, slashed at me, clawed at me, and fired a wide variety of death rays.SO MANY DEATH RAYS!But those were simpler times, someone just farmed my death out to a team of world class killers. I long for the day when superhuman assassins would have been my biggest problem. A city wide game of cat and mouse would be all fun and games if they were only after me, but I’m just one of their targets. Now to rescue the people I care about I have to hunt down the assassins before they all end up dead. If you enjoy action-packed good versus evil battles, snarky banter, and plucky teenage superheroes who refuse to quit, you will love Raven’s adventures in Assassins, the fifth book of Superpower Chronicles. Perfect for fans of Spider-Man and The Teen Titans. Buy Assassins to kick supervillain butt today!
The hero is basically a mix of robin/night wing/Spider-Man. He's a teen on the cusp of adulthood and is very naive and trusting. He's very resourceful, but he kinda blunders and fights his way to his solutions. Was hoping for more character development, but 5 books in and the Mc is still relying on an evil criminal to help him solve his problems. This series is in dire need of a time skip, but it's apparent that the plan is for the books to be spaced about a week between incidents. Im still happy that our hero is a hero, all I can ask for
The end must be Close. All the supers are closing in with there powers coming to maturity even if the kids are young. The underworld spits in from both sides. The elders are uninformed. Kids are unsure.
Absolutely superb, story slowly gets more serious as the stakes increase, getting darker and more intense , without overwhelming the flavor of the characters themselves
