Aidan, a billionaire and CEO of Empire is known for the title 'Top 5 Hottest Bachelor' for two reasons. His extremely good-looks and for not wanting to get married, at least until he reaches forty but his mother keeps on setting him with unwanted dates, leaving him frustrated.
Kenna, Aidan's best friend, is a doctor who has never found the right time for love. She has always been busy with work to an extent that she forgets about her own personal life.
Both of them has always been close ever since they were kids, after a single incident that happened, instantly making them inseparable. As they grew older, things began to change yet best friends are forever . . . no matter the circumstances.
What happens when Aidan sets up a contract and wants Kenna to be a part of it?
This review was originally posted at https://tinyurl.com/jsft8kue Aiden has it all. He is smart, funny, good-looking, and the billionaire CEO of the family company and he has no intention of settling down. At least not for a few more years and until he finds the right girl. Until then he is content to be a playboy. That is until his mother gives him an ultimatum. Get married to someone of his choosing or she would choose him a bride. Say no and she would remove him as CEO. So, Aiden decides to set up a one year marriage contract with his life-long friend, Kenna. After-all, they have been best friends for 20 years. What is one year of marriage to help one out? Everything is going great until feelings start to develop. Only are the only felt by one? Could this ruin their friendship forever?
I said I wasn't going to read any more books from the Dreame app after the last one, but it honestly wasn't that bad. The editing is horrid. In all honesty this book was harder to read than the last because there were so many editing issues, but the stories on the site seem to be good. I auto-unlocked the entire book so I am not sure how much I paid for it. Probably around $5. It is a cute read where two people who have known each other since they were 6 years old start to look at each other in a new light, but as I mentioned the editing is horrid.
There are placed where words such as what I can only assume were "focused" was instead listed as "f****d" and cursing would not be appropriate in that part of the sentence. They do the same with bra. Other times I don't even know what the intended word was because of the asterisks. Just be prepared for that if you do decide to read it. I am not saying the book was bad. I would say about a 3 star, because if you can get past the awful writing to the story behind it it is both cute and emotional.
The Bestfriend’s Contract is a good book. But at times the writing seems like it was pushed out in a hurry and lacked some editing, but I’ll cover this later on in this review. Aidan and Kenna’s relationship turns out great in this book. They’ve been best friends for 20 years, through thick and thin. Kenna felt that relationship was somewhat one-sided as she never felt like Aidan was actually noticing the differences going on in her life, or just didn’t care. At time Aiden was very conceited, but as the story went along you can quickly tell that he would do anything for her. He even helped her achieve every number on her bucket list. However, the book needs some serious editing. Often simple words were misspelled or even the sayings weren’t correct. There were a couple times where Kenna says “I could care less” when the actual phrase is “I couldn’t care less.” As well as some other things similar, there are also some holes in the story. It would have been nice to not make some huge time jumps, and would have been nice to even see/read Kenna finding out she’s pregnant. But the store jumps sometimes several months at a time. I also would have liked to know where Alain took off to away from his wife and daughter for several weeks? When Alain was originally painted as a very loving husband and father, that wouldn’t make sense. It also makes me wonder if the guilt from lying to Kenna’s dad kind of forced the relationship? It wasn’t covered much before that, and I know that obstacles do make you realize what you have.
However the misspelling and misphrasing as well as holes in the plot did make the story hard to connect to at times. It was overall a good story. Just maybe try not to write as rushed. Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars, but did round up as the issues mentioned weren’t huge and I was still able to get the just of the story.

This book was amazing. I love Kenna and Aidan’s relationship, and the third wheel best friend! This book had me cheesing at how adorable they were and how realistic best friends turn into love!
