This story touched my heart in a way I didnt think possible. Jordyn is one my favorite fmc of all time! A tragic event caused her to lose her hearing at age 10. Despite this setback she still goes on to follow her dreams! Find your beat and dont let it slow you down!

Driven Roads by Tonya Clark is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Scarlett Everdeen and Walker Williams.
This is the first book of Tonya's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Asher and Jordyn. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Scarlett and Walker did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like contemporary romances, or instant connection romances.

I loved everything about this book, from Tonya Clark’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. The story not only grabbed my attention right and captivated it the entire book, but it tugged on my heartstrings too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. I adored the two lead characters, Jordyn Collins and Asher James, the secondary characters were pretty amazing too. Jordyn lost her hearing when she was ten years old, but that did not end her love for music and dream of becoming a singer. Though she could not hear the music anymore, she could feel it and she had the perfect vocal coach to teach her to excel in her gift. Asher James is the lead singer for chart topping county band, their manager thinks the band will do even better if they add a female singer and Jordyn is the first one to audition. I loved how everything played out in this beautifully plotted story, it has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and a sweet romance. I also loved the originality of the story and how the author keeps it real, showing how living in a hearing world without the ability to hear and the challenges the deaf community faces every day. Tonya Clark, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the character to sound. Everdeen nailed it as Jordyn brought out every side of her personality, and Williams did the same for Asher. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the fabulous listen.

This was my first time reading anything by Tonya Clark, and OMG! I think I'm in love!!
I loved this story so much!!!! From the very beginning I was hooked. I couldn't put it down! I had to keep reading and find out what happens. There's some twists and turns, and this book was like an emotional rollercoaster but in a good way!! One minute I'm laughing, then next crying, then the next I'm gasping at what I'm reading!
The story of these two were amazing. I love insta love and this was just that! I love when the guy is so enamoured with the girl, that he just taken aback with her. And that's what it was for Asher and Jordyn. I loved their chemistry.
ALSO can we talk about how there was a disability in the story and it was like natural, and inclusive? Huge round of applause for Tonya! I loved the dynamic that it brought to the couple, and to what was going on around them.
OMG! The characters I LOVED THEM ALL!! ALL OF THEM! I'm going right now to look to see if there's a Megan and Noah book RIGHT NOW! OK well I can't find anything but I'll be asking Tonya cause I WANT THEIR STORY like yesterday!
There were some parts in which I cried my eyes out. The biggest being when Asher brought Jordyn on stage without the crowd, and then video played. OMG!!!
Some of my fave quotes:
1. I have fight the need to go and enter the room with her, grab her hand and place it on my heart. Have her tap along with my beat. - SWOON MOMENT!
2. My hand fists around his shirt, holding on so that I don't even on the floor when knees give out, because they feel like they might. - SHEW!! HOT HOT HOT
3. "Your moans when you kiss me, I feel them aghast my chest and wish every time I feel that I could hear them. Your voice when you sing. I wish just for one minute I could hear you." - CRYING MOMENT!
4. Taking her hand, I place it on my chest above my heart, "It's yours Jordyn, that beat is our song." - ANOTHER CRYING, SWOONING MOMENT!

Well Tonya Clark, you have made me an instant fan of your writing with this fantastic book! Jordan Collins always wanted to be a singer. Now given the chance to audition for the most popular country band, she is both nervous and ready. Asher, the lead singer to Driven Roads. Not on board that the band needs a woman added to mix, he goes in with attitude. But when he sees Jordan sign, and then sing, he is smitten. How can this woman not hear the music but sing like a bird? Clark has stolen my heart with this amazing romance. Her writing had me feeling the music as Jordan does. Have the tissues handy, you will need them!
Scarlett Everdeen and Walker Williams are an amazing and their portrayal of Jordan and Asher is phenomenal. Everdeen is fantastic as Jordan. She uses her voice to let us know her frustration, happiness and love. She creates Jordan with a passion for her music and a drive to accomplish her dreams. This is an amazing listen and can't wait for more!

What a story! I absolutely loved following along in Asher and Jordyn’s dreams. I knew going in this one would be interesting and have some heart stopping moments. It was everything I expected and more! I loved the peek into Jordyn’s life and how she got to this point. I could feel her excitement throughout the story every time she got close to the stage or even her “Fangirl” moments. Then I had my tear jerker scenes with her and was driving around with tears in my eyes! Asher and his band are not what I expected. They seem relatively calm and easy going.
As for secondary characters..her brother Justin is the winner. He showed his heart, his caring and his strength during his parts. There are others but Justin is my fav and most memorable.
I did listen to this on audio. Scarlett Everdeen and Walker Williams both did an outstanding job. The only thing making it better would have been if they sang! This is a story that will get your heart strings pulled but if you can handle that then the story will make you think about things a little different. Very Enjoyable!

Driven Roads by Tonya Clark gives us the hottest country star Asher James and his band Driven Roads, and Jordyn Collins, the newest member of their band.
This was a very unique storyline that was intriguing and very sweet! No real angst or drama and just a couple who meet and instantly fall in love! Jordyn lost her hearing at 10 yrs old due to an accident but never lost her determination to make it as a singer. She pushed herself and was able to make her dream a reality by feeling the beat of the music vs hearing it. Asher was so swoony with how he was with Jordyn, wanting to fit into her world and learn sign language etc. vs her fitting into his hearing world.
I believe this is my first listen for both narrators, Scarlett Everdeen and Walker Williams. I really enjoyed Walker Williams but they both did a great job with the story.
I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a light and sweet story with some spice with wonderful characters.

I'm so glad I found this book! This one has a twist I have never seen in a rockstar book. Jordyn was in a car accident at the age of 10. She walked away with her life but lost her hearing. She could have let that take her passion for music away but was determined to learn how to feel the music instead. Asher James is the lead singer of one of country music's hottest groups Driven Roads. The group is considering adding a female vocalist to the group. There is an instant connection and it doesnt take long for the two to realize that they want to be more then band mates. Jordyn's life is about to turn upside-down from more then just joining the band and needs Asher to lean on.
You feel every emotional high and low from both Jordyn and Asher! You will think it is you falling in love and it is your dream coming true. I absolutely love Tonya Clark's writing and will be looking for more books by her! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book will run you through a gauntlet of the feels!! Consider yourself forewarned! Jordyn is a young musician/singer trying to catch her break and goes to the studio for what she thought was a demo tape with her mentor/trainer. Imagine her fan girl surprise moment when the lead singer Asher walks into that same studio just to appease his manager. Sparks fly when talk but shock and amazement is also present due to Jordyn being deaf.
I love the inclusion of this as it didn’t come off as an “I’m added this in let’s see how it fits…” sort of book. There was lots of thought and understanding of the obstacles that someone with those challenges would face in day to day life and it was woven in seamlessly. And when teaching sign langue it was glossed over and boom they all learned it overnight because that doesn’t happen in real life.
This book will have you smiling one moment, laughing out loud the next and then have tears streaming down your face. And back again. It’s a great read.

This was a very cute story. Jordyn is deaf, lost her hearing when she was 10. Her dream had always been to be a singer and that didn't change just because she couldn't hear anymore. So she found someone who could teach her to feel the music. She had very strong determination and she was going to make it happen. She ends up getting an audition with Driven Roads..... and they bring her on....and Asher falls in love with her. I didn't feel any angst in this story at all. There were a few sad points, but nothing that ripped my heart out or made me cry. The narration was great! I loved Walker Williams.... totally made me think of Matthew McConaughey.

Music to my ears!!
This was a fantastically romantic & heart warming story!
From the moment I started this book I was drawn in. It opened my heart and my mind in so many ways. It was fun, sexy & emotional.
This story deals with real life struggles and big dreams and blends them together perfectly for the hopelessly romantic. I’m not a huge fan of insta love but Author Tonya Clark wrote this in such a way that it just worked.
The narration was absolutely fantastic!! Both narrators are new to me and I felt their performances were genuine and well suited for this story.
Their song is featured on YouTube at Author Tonya Clark’s channel.
This book has an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book!

Asher's a singer of a popular country music group. Jordan had always loved music and singing. But when a car accident takes her hearing away, she's devastated. After years of working with a vocal coach, Jordan was able to feel the music with her body. Usher starts to fall for her from the first note of the music that she sung. I really enjoy this musical romance. All the characters are amazingly created. And they are so relatable and sweet. I wish I would be able to live within the universe that the author has created. I would love to read more about the characters and it would be amazing to see the rest of the band mates, find their loved ones and see them happily in their own stories.

Jordyn and Asher
This is an Insta Love story with a unique twist. Jordyn loves singing but is deaf. The Driven Roads band wants to add a new member to the group . These two characters have instant chemistry even though there is a bit of a communication gap. This is a great story and gets you in the feels. It shows that anything is possible if you want it bad enough. Tonya Clark did an amazing job. This is my first time for each narrator and I look forward to hearing them again.

We get Asher James, the hottest country star, and Jordyn Collins the new member, but wait, this is more than just the typical celebrity romance, there is so much more to each of the characters, Jordyn lost her hearing at 10 years old, but was determined to become a singer. The story is sweet and swoony, as Asher did everything he could for her. Overall a great story and the audiobook is narrated by Scarlett Everdeen and Walker Williams, they did a good performance for this book, so I might recommend you listen to this instead of just reading.

Driven Roads: WOW! Jordyn always loved music. The family was in a car accident that took her hearing from her. Her mother was determined to find someone to help Jordyn cope in the music world. She has a beautiful voice and her mentor knew that she would make it by her determination. Then her mentor set her up with a producer to listen to her perform. What she was not expecting was to see Asher James the lead singer of a great country band. She blew them away. It was a heart-warming story of overcoming optical—fantastic writing and dialog. I enjoyed the story!

Jordan was inspirational, proving with courage and determination, you can accomplish your dreams. Asher's need to find and feel more in life is realized when he meets Jordyn. This was a sweet, insta story. I love my country musicians. Asher was a sweet one, with a spicy side, especially when it came to Jordyn. I loved the uniqueness of this story through the eyes of Jordyn, who is hard-of-hearing. I love how she is able to feel the music and learning her techniques. This was a feel-good, easy read.

Jordyn has wanted to be a singer as long as she can remember. An accident makes it almost an impossible dream. She meets Asher, the singer for a famous country band and the chemistry is instantaneous both on and off stage.
I loved this story, by the end I was sobbing so hard I had to reread the last few chapters because of my tears.

The premise of Driven Roads was great - Hot country band hires new singer to add a feminine touch to their sound. She and the lead singer fall instantly head over heels. If you like a sweet and spicy, low angst romance with alternating first person present POVs, you might like this. However, the writing style and my reading preferences did not mesh well.

I got hooked. Read the story in 24 hours because I fell for both characters. Asher is amazing with his rock solid InstaLove for Jordyn. And Jordyn has overcome so much to become the singer she wants to be more than anything. The story is powerful, sexy, funny, sexy, emotional, and, um, sexy. I picked this up at a reader event and I’m so glad I did. I’ll be reading more.

Omg…I’ve read most of Tonya’s books and I’m surprised at how she was able to keep curse words out of this one, but dayum I love this story. I was hooked from beginning to end. A five star read and the perfect quick read.

Wonderful Love Story
Highly recommended! This is an amazing love story full of emotion. This story drew me in & had me laughing, crying, & falling in love with Asher & Jordyn. If you enjoy reading a good heart felt romance with a happily ever after, then this is a must read.

Jordyn life is about to change and its a change she never thought would happen. When she lost her hearing, she never thought she would be seen as nothing but someone who could not hear. Now she has the opportunity to have love and the career she has always dreamed about.

This book has all the feels. It really does make you think about life without one of your senses. I love how strong these characters are. A brilliant performance from both Scarlett and Walker.
