Sooooo, smut .... Sex with vegetables and other green things.
I honestly started this book months ago and only added to it now that I was finally nearing the end.
What was fun at the beginning dragged on so much. And yes I knew what I was getting myself into. So I shouldn't complain about too much sex ... right?
I'll keep it short: it's well written and if you're into edging and bondage and generally weird sex things, you might even like the book.
I liked the beginning, tolerated the middle and then just wanted it to be over.
It's a shame really, because with a bit more focus on the romance in it and the fantasy part, it could have been really good.

I could no longer smell the cum he'd smeared on my face this morning.  My nose was full of the smell of chili.

I‘m not sure why I bothered to finished it. Normally this would be really my thing and I would get all hot and bothered but here? I didn’t. Something just didn’t worked out for me here…I felt no emotional connection to the characters and the hot kinky scenes also didn’t reached me as I hoped they would.

This would usually totally be my thing but something about it just didn't quite work for me

It was like there was an emotional connection there that I should have felt but just didn't. There was a moment towards the end, as Caleb notices the view off Thryso's balcony, that almost had me. Almost.

Nice variety of D/s sex scenes with lots of bondage, denial, and vegetable play, and though Caleb doesn't know it to begin with, all the scenes are training for a big claiming by the lust tree which I unfortunately found quite anticlimactic.

The imagination this took…

I’m constantly in awe of authors and their ability to create and invent. It’s absolutely amazing what they hold in their brain space. This was intense and exciting! The only reason I ever have to knock stars off for this author is editing, never the story or the characters. This is top tier erotica, folx. You’d be insane to skip out. Usually I don’t give more than 3 stars for books that’s just sex. But holy fudge ice cream, the scenes in this book were hot 🥵 Like, actually hot. The kinks were just perfect, the description, and the flow of it all, it was just perfect. Fantastic. I also liked that you could feel the mc getting closer with each other, even when there was the most limited amount of plot 😂😂

This is a collection of 5 shorter stories that all come together in one over arching storyline. It's definitely on the steamier side. There were some issues with the writing (don't know if a professional editor has worked on this book), but it didn't detract from my reading experience too much.
